PGT892 just so you know, we mechanics swapped the redtop into your car, and did the manual conversion before we left there. that has all been done for at least 2.5 months.

Right on at least I am getting some info. I am going to get my car this week. I am driving to Iowa AGAIN and I am going to get the car. I just want this nightmare of an experience to end. I already have a shop here in Indy that is going to help me out, wish I had found out about them before. Hindsight -> 20/20

In fact yours was the first car we started working on once we had engines, but it got pushed back because Adam kept bringing more people in for weekend installs which took priority since they were told it would be done over a weekend.

i do not think i can comprehend this right now. The worst part is that i have been waiting for over a year, and now that my motor finally came, i have been waiting for my turbo . And now i cannot afford a new turbo.=no running 240.

I spoke w/ adam and investigator freeberg , a resolution may have been reached. one was agreed upon but wether it's held up we'll see in the next week or so. I'll be sure to let everyone know what happens as I find out more.

FYI - rxspeed, thanks for handling the "roundup" of customers.

Once again, if you are NOT a customer with a beef with the shop or Adam, please refrain from posting here. I think it's pretty widely accepted that EVERYONE feels for those of you who lost money. NICO will assist in any way possible.

Let's all assist in getting the appropriate info to the authorities, especially from people who may not catch this thread, and it will be handled from there.

This thread will remain open - Please contact me via email if you have a problem with any of what I have said.

Thanks guys. Carry on.

Well that would be kickin' rad. I would LOVE to have this whole thing over. It would put a cherry on top if I got my S14 sitting in my driveway with a working redtop.

Sorry to digress for a moment. Pgt892, I'm the guy that you emailed. I lost your email. I may be able to help you since I live in Westfield, IN too. I have SR in S13 though. But I'll help you as much as I can if you get your car back. So drop me email.

Ok...I have a question, does anybody that is involve in this live in Iowa. It would be easier to just come talk with him in person along with an authority with you. Oh rxspeed...I emailed you back already.

what a surprise , after speaking w/ adam after he was picked up by investigator freebrg and supposedly reaching an agreement when I called to iron out details still no answer on phone and no response from emails. so guys i'm not to sure that what I was told was true which I wouldn't have been surprised had it been straight from adam but he was in the room w/ a cop after being picked up and do you think he'd still have the nerve to straight up lie like that?

Excuse my niave-ness. When you say he was "in a room" with a cop, and "ironing out details," was Adam in custody at a police station, or was the investigator at his shop? Also, where are they ironing out details? Was that conversation being documented somehow? If so, if he (Adam) weren't able to follow-through on this agreement, what kind of action will take place, if any?

Sorry for all the questions, if any of these were mentioned above, someone point me to it. Either way, should the discussions about these things be had with Adam? or the investigator?

Both.

The authority apparently handling this is mentioned above. Those of you who have lost money need to be in touch with the man in blue.

cat unless you have some proof your motor is there it probably isn't , your best bet would to be to join the federal IFCC complaint/suit that rxspeed put together email him if the link isn't in one of the threads

I am 110% sure you won't be receiving a motor from afterdark anytime soon.

So are we getting our refunds or what? Adam called me last week and said he would send the refund on Tuesday(9th?) and he would also contact me but i haven't heard anything from him yet.

ok, heres the latest lowdown

1. adam and investigator freeberg talked out a resolution. this is not a contract or anything. then investigator freeberg has now talked with the county DA as to how to pursue this. i talked with freeberg today and he is asking everyone to call the records dept. of cedar rapids pd and file an incident report. you then need to fax or mail asap any documents such as receipts, contracts, emails, etc to the records dept as evidence. then investigator freeberg or koenighain will add this to the file they have started on adam. the more people who do this properly the more likely criminal charges will be brought up since the dollar amount is so high. i will post the number later, its at my office. once this is done more on the criminal part can begin. to those who paid less than 4K to adam, you must take him to small claims court, and the odds you see any money is very low. for those of you who paid more, you must seek an attorney for advice as that is a different matter that i am not well versed on.

2. if you were told you would get a refund on the 9th or so, its a lie and you wont see any money. i have tried to contact adam several times since when he promised me my refund and of course no answer.

3. jared, i dont think you are going to see that money. i talked with wells fargo bank again, and again they assured me he couldnt even cover my 3K refund check. apparently when the money comes in he lets it clear and then immediately withdraws it. they wouldnt get into specifics with me but you get the idea

4. for those of you who would like some more info on adam, please email me for his mom's, dad's, and girlfriend's email addy. i have gotten these and emailed each stating adam's deceit and the status of the case with the cedar rapids pd hoping maybe they would somehow bail him out. at this point i would even take monthly payments, its better than nothing.

this is the current info as of 5pm EST today.

Could you post contact numbers for investigator freeberg and koenighain? Or you could just email them to me.

Adam, if you're reading this, I highly suggest you call me before I get their information.

I hope you feel differently now.

Not a fair assumption to make, as we have always supported people getting what is rightfully theirs.

Keep up the good work (getting everyone's info compiled), and I hope you'll consider retracting that statement.
