Yes, the interface runs $69 shipped and will come pre-flashed with the latest firmware. If you buy any remote start from me then I sell the interface for $49.

For me it would be a "2" for automatic and a "3" for manual transmission. I'm not sure of your abilities, so I'm not going to bother guessing how difficult it wold be for you. But it is an easy vehicle. I do provide tech support over the phone if you need it during installation.

Pulling the old alarm is about as easy as you can get. Especially if it's just T-tapped in. If it is soldered then just cut the wire flush at the joint.

It does come with instructions and a wiring tech sheet for your vehicle.

I have the 5701 and I was looking to get some a spare 2-way remote. Do you sell them? If so, how much?

Another thing is one of the LED's on my 2-way remote went out. I've had it for under a year. Do you know if there is a warranty on it?

Also, how hard is it to program the trunk release. When I got it on my Accord, they never programmed it. Again I have the 5701.

Thanks,Lee

The 5701 remote is $64 shipped. I think they only have a 90 day warranty, but I warranty the remotes that come with the units I sell for a year. So you may want to ask the place you bought it from.

As far as trunk release, there is no programming it. It just needs to be wired to the system. So I assume they didn't wire it in.

Well, you are going to need a relay, some wiring, a fuse holder, some sort of multi-meter or test light etc. Your car definitely has a power trunk release in it?

If it does have a trunk motor and you have the stuff needed, then I will walk you through it.

Let me know,

Toby

I assume is has a power trunk release motor in it. How can I determine if it does or now. It's a 1999 Honda Accord LX Sedan.

Thanks for your help. Hopefully I'm not too much of a bother.

I have a 2009 altima and had the 5901 installed. However the tech, after installing it, said that since no one has the wiring codes for this model the only way to do the remote start is to have the remote start turned on, but when you get in the car you have to step on the break, disengage the remote start and then start the car again to drive off.

Can you confirm this, or is there a way to do it better?

Toby is it still possible for you to get the Viper 350 with the tilt sensor, glass breaking sensor, back up battery and spare sensor?

I would think for the price of these alarms that it would include some of the sensors

I assume it's a push button start Altima!?! Yes, there is a better way to do it. I install them so they are just like a standard ignition vehicle. After being remote started: you would get in, push the start button to turn on accessory then push it once more to turn on ignition. Then simply step on the brake and drive away. You would need a DLPK interface and then wire it a specific way. I have done Altima's, Maxima's, Murano's and some Infinity's this way. The DLPK will also take care of lock, unlock, trunk release, arm and disarm.

Are you talking about the old Viper 350HV? If so, then no. That is a discontinued item. It was replaced by the Viper 350 Plus.... found here:

zerothread?id=449135

I stock the glass break sensor, digital tilt sensor, proximity sensor, backup battery etc.

I am interested in the "Viper 5501 Nico Price: $209 Shipped!2-Way LCD Remote Start/Keyless Entry"

Could you tell me how much it would be for the complete system with everything needed to install it into a 2008 Subaru Impreza (Outback Sport) , such as the DEI XK02 XPRESSKIT Interface coded for the 08 Impreza.

Also, is there anything else that I would need such as a vat key or anything else?

Thanks for your help!

You don't need the XK02. It only does data door locks, arm and disarm. Those wires can easily be found at that the BIU(Body Integrated Unit) or drivers kick panel. You WILL need however is a TBXKEY. You will need to take one of your coded keys(can be a valet key) and put it inside of this module. This will bypass the OEM immobilizer during remote start. That module runs $19. So you would be looking at a total of $228 shipped for everything. Please let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks,
You just need a standard automotive relay and an inline fuse holder. I would recommend a 15 amp fuse for the holder. You should be able to get both at an Autozone or of course an audio shop. You will then need some 18ga. primary wire so you can wire it in and some female spade terminals to connect to the relay.

The relay will be like this...... brand doesn't matter:

Hey Lee-

Sorry man, I worked 19 hours on Friday to finish a vehicle that had to be done for Saturday morning. I then went back into work 3 hours after that to deliver the vehicle and work. I then had to promptly leave out of town for a wedding. I am free today though if you want to simply call me. I can walk you through it a lot easier over the phone. The number is in my sig.

No Problems. I was practicing my golf game on Saturday, because I had a charity tourney on Sunday. Then I worked on the 240 and changed out the alternator. I should have time tomorrow after work around 6PM EST. How long do you think it takes? If it takes some time, I might just wait for the weekend.

Thanks again for offering some help.

I'd imagine it will take you a couple hours from start to finish. Taking the car apart, figuring out where the wire is and testing for it, diagnosing their install and attaching your wires to the brain, wiring the relay etc., then testing everything, finding a mounting place for the relay, remounting the brain back up in the under dash and then putting the car back together. Sure, it would only take me 20 minutes, but I assume you don't usually do this type of work. It will take a little time to walk you through the wiring of the relay too.

I will not really be available this Saturday, but you can have my undivided attention all day Sunday:gapteeth

I am not that challenged...I can wire radios and amps and what not, but I've never touched alarms. I'd love to learn it.

I appreciate all the help you can give. Sunday sounds good to me.

Well, you don't need anything if you don't care about having power locks. If you want to add power locks then you would need two actuators and a relay pack. Those run $35 for the setup.
