Hahaha i have so many of those from my Honda days! Stuff like:Shi* (part) broke! .... Lets go to walmart and buy a new one!

Haha i miss my civic but there is a point where you need to move up from eclipse/talons, civics, integras, and so on! Then you can always keep one for a daily driver and winter beater thats what i have done! I have had all of them for beater cars!

Thanks for the luck, ill need it. i am supprised you have not hated back about my car not working right considering this thread is (mainly) about my car not running right!

***Update***HUGE Progress!Once again thank you so much Evan for coming over to help!We found that the maf wires (power and referance) were switched. When the wire harness was made they mixed them up...we started the car and MONEY! It ran reved and idled perfect! So we wrap the harness again and push it back through the fire wall, move our cars so i can back out, go to start it and it wont start!!! So we mess around making sure the maf is getting power and whatnot try it again and nothing!so we unplug the maf and it fires up WTF!!!Now i have no idea what to do besides pull the entire harness and go through each and every connection they made and make sure it is tight and not lose.also when the car starts up with the maf off then you plug it back in while running it will run.. a little rough though! I hate wiring! So i guess the question is has anyone run ito this or have any other ideas?Thanks----------------i am not going to flame on the company that made my harness yet until i hear what they have to offer for all the problems i have had with this "turn key" harness they sent me and i paid 480.00 for...

Keith, its a *****... I know. However, better now than later.

Double check my solder job on those maf wires, I am not 100% sure that I got a great solder joint.

Ill ponder this situation overnight.

Essentially guys, you can start the car with the maf unplugged and wont start with the maf plugged in. You can start it with the maf unplugged THEN plug the maf in and it revs not too badly just a hair rough. Its running pretty rich, off the end of his wideband.

Oh yeah for sure! When you pay that much money you expect what you paid for! I am not going to ask for it all back... ill see what they offer and go from there! Hell i would even take some parts haha. But i have dropped over 500 on troubleshooting because they told me that thier harness was perfect and it couldnt be that!

Another update...Evan and i were thinking maybe because the engine was hot it was pouring in an ungodly amount of fuel causing it not to start. this morning i went out when the car was ice cold to see if it would start with the maf hooked up and nothing. i pulled the maf and it fired up but ran crazy rich and ever so slightly rough... starting to think when we pushed that harness back through something came lose...

I am pretty sure there is still a problem with the harness Keith. I wanted you to start it cold just in case. Either there is a loose pin in the ECU harness plug or a broken wire in the harness. At least we know the problem is within the first 2' of where it comes off of the ECU though.

PLEASE double check those solder joints, a cold solder joint on those maf wires could cause the same symptoms.

Not a problem! I am camping out in that damn garage this weekend now that i got a taste of it running right! I am thinking i will pull the complete harness through the wall again and just redo everything! like you said it has to be in that first two feet! It just sucks there is 80+ wires in there haha

if i was you i would just sit down with a mulimeter and just test for contenuity over all their connections instead of trying to replace all those wires...this is why i did my own wiring i have been burned to many times by other ppl workin on my vehicles

Another update! After work I pulled the harness back throught the wall again and cut all the tape off. just for the hell of it i thought i would try to start it. I fired right up! at that point i have had this car i have spent 10k on sitting dead in my garage for 4-5 month... so i hopped in and took off! It was love! Hahaha I love this damn engine! I get to my friends house turn it off and it wouldnt start. i pulled the maf plug fired it up and plugged it back in and drove it home. so i think i am at the same point that i need to pull the harness and go over that 2 feetthat goes into the wall.a new problem came up while driving it. The second it hits boost the clutch lets go like its worn out. Its a brand new unsprung 6-puck ACT! But like always Evan saved me *** and i just need to adjust the clutch pedal!More updates later today, ill be in the garage all day working on it cuz its going to be 43! HEAT WAVE!

AMAZING NEWS!Its runs perfect! It starts now every time and runs great!I ended up pulling the harness out and soildering every joint i saw, inc the ones the harness company made. 10-20 total. I put the harness back in and it works great! FUN AS HELL TO DRIVE! But with the awesome comes new issues... When i had the engine out i replaced the clutch... with a ebay brand "ACT" Clutch. well it wont hold... and thats an understatement! Every time it hits boost it slips and revs like its in neutral... thats an esay fix i am going to just buy a new quality clutch! I guess you get what you pay for! That and i didnt break it in like i should have because i drove it in limp mode for like 20 miles so i didnt break it in right so i think i glazed it!But hey it RUNS!

Hahaha thats awesome and somewhat true! But thanks i love this engine its amazing and makes all teh waiting and money worth it!There is one thing new i notice while driving it. When i corner and accelerate at the same time there is a bad vibration coming from the rear! I am thinking the rear diff is going out! Keep in mind my car came with 258k miles on it! So i guess ill start looking for a vlsd rear end to swap in it. I guess it already has one in it because it is a Super HICAS. Any other issues it could be?

PS I ordered my ACT Clutch to replace that ebay piece of crap that wont hold the power!

i would check the fluid level in the diff first...then get a hicas eliminator kit cause that could be causing it too...if the diff is low fill it back up and it should be good after that...check around the seals to see if they are leaking anywhere...i have a good website to get them cheep
