I am pumped, record highs on tuesday! 54! Heat wave for sure! I pulled out the flip flops this weekend already!

But i already pulled the HICAS off the car. I saw the drain on the diff but where is the fill? I cant find the fill! Kinda a newb thing. Also i figure i should flush it anyway, what gear oil do you use to fill it?
toadx8u wrote:i would check the fluid level in the diff first...then get a hicas eliminator kit cause that could be causing it too...if the diff is low fill it back up and it should be good after that...check around the seals to see if they are leaking anywhere...i have a good website to get them cheep
What is the website? You can text it to me if you dont want the world to know it too...

our DIffs take 8/9's of a quart of gear oil. I used 85w90 lucas gear oil on my VLSD thats on the way out. kinda brought some life back to it. I need a clutch type... my motor just destroyed the Viscous one lol

+1 for 70's. But by the time we actually see 70's ill have a tan already lol i tan super easily

damn you beat me to it kori! lol i was gunna say my chassis looks like ***. its seen MUCH better days. Pretty much used this shell to get the motor running and workin out all the kinks. now im shopping for a new mint chassis to start my REAL build with.

with help from kori it should have a shaved and tucked engine bay. matched with my rb30 with freshly painted valve covers. OMG its gunna be ORGASMIC!! (im trustin your honda wire tucking skills will do wonders on my nissan kori)

I'd think it would be the same thing... its just cut, lengthen/soder, wrap in electrical tape, then zip tie/secure in fenders ect... Just gotta map it out where each wires are going logically first.

I'm not shaving your bay... f**k no.. not my thing lol.. never shaved one so wouldnt wanna f**k it up on someone else's car.

lol no evan we arent doin it on this chassis lol. Im lookin for a new chassis right now that ima shave and paint the engine bay this spring in. Then im gettin my white coupe shell from delafield that i have out there and puttin a stock KA in there for my Daily driver. Once that happens im tearin apart my Black coupe with the RB in it and using that whole car to build my good chassis with the shaved bay

Most of my wire is hidden, and what isn't needs to be moved. The one thing is that it kinda sucks to work on. I cut out 2' of harness length from the harness I built before hand.

There is a 1" bundle of cable that goes to the motor and thats it. I was going to pull it through the fire wall right behind the engine but there is no space.

I had the car torn down for jet hot coating some parts so I did it then.

Yeah i painted for a body shop for like 4 years and i also went to Wyotech for college so i do all my own work on my car! I am doing my car in a friends dads booth but he is letting just me do it. I can do yours in your garage if you want. I have all the paint guns and what not still. All i would need is for you to pay for the paint. That and it needs to be at least 75 out or if you have a heated garage that will work even better!

i got a shop and it's wood furnace heated... you went to wyotech for auto body repair or just paint?

The wire tuck on the one civic that i only helped my ex do is a full blown wire tuck.. you got to look for wires to see them (like where sensors are ect) looks awesome. Also on a different civic of his did a half wire tuck (just didnt go all out and through the pain of adding ridic amounts of wire to hide something that's already pretty hidden) and the holes in firewall from removing heat and air conditioning put some carbon kevlar to seal it, looks sweet. I would have done one on my talon but DSM bays are just busy to begin with so no real point.

Tedious work.. lol

About the last thing I would do would to be to paint a car in a wood heater heated shop. There is a reason that code requires sealed explosion proof motors in paint booths. If you can get the place hot enough to paint and evacuate the fumes and re-light the fire that would work.

Got a chance to ride in his car last night, feels much different with a stock turbo! I like it. Clutch slips like a mother, and his rear subframe bushings are shot! lol. The diff seems fine.

Nice job Keith!
