Hahaha so i love how this turns into a bash Evan thread! I like it! JK Evan your saving my ***!But feel free to bring her, i wish my girlfriend likes to work on cars but hey i am starting to get to her she traded in her 98 malibu for a 05 Murano yesterday and has it tinted with HID's already... Yeah i am rubbing off on herAnyway thursday works for me all around. i get off work at 5 so anytime after works for me! Now i just need to make sure my neighbors are gone so they stop calling my landlord every time i work on my car!

well see if i can make it. I got nothing planned but my girl said something today bout we got a bunch of stuff to do to her Talon so she can sell it to buy her 240. so not 100% sure if we gunna be able to make it thursday but ill keep ya both informed. Have evan give me a ring

Alright thats cool. Its awesome that your girl is selling that talon and coming over to quality cars But ill talk to evan, i dont know if he is even avaliable, i just hear its going to be warm!Basicly all we need to do is daig the limp mode issue so if anyone has any ideas or things to check that have not been listed let me know!

i know right! all it took was her drivin my rb30 coupe to get her to come over to our side lol. ever since that first drive i litterally have to pry the keys out of her hand lol

i really think ur maf is bad personally. Even tho its new, doesnt mean its good. or the wiring from the maf is wrong?

Yeah i am just hoping its bad. It would be the easy thing to fix but i just need a good one to test it with haha. I wouldnt doubt the wiring is bad just because of all the issues we have found with it already!

Wiring specialties did the wiring on the car. Personally, I still suspect the ECU could be the culprit. They did do a clean job, but something isn't right. Especially since a tug on the harness got us instant 12v @ the maf. However, that connection is factory crimped and may not have been something they touched. I am not ready to throw them under the bus yet. However, it was BS that they claimed that the harness had to be perfect. I doubt they test these things.

check the maf wiring...you should be able to take a volt meter and test the maf just by blowing air through it...just check the output voltage

That must be a wiring problem as the 12V supply doesn't come from the ECU...

Right, it comes from the ECCS relay, which was definitely putting 12v out but it wasn't reaching the maf.

Todd, it got pretty cold so we stopped testing. Thanks for the MAF printout.

well technically not my girlfriend lol long story but ill try to explain to see what u guys think.

well she dated this guy brandon for 3 years. the first year he was here in wisconsin and then he went into the marines and moved to cali on base. So they dated for 2 years while he lived there. she would fly out there like ever 2 months to see him and he would come back here for christmas. Well 2 christmas' ago he cheated on her with one of her friends and broke up with her for that girl. When he realized he made a mistake he started apologizing for over a year to her. NOw here comes my part. I met her on Thanksgiving. at the time i met her she was pretty much dead set on goin back to him. But once she met me we kinda hit it off and really started liking eachother ALOT. He is a complete *******. Treated her liek **** and still does. Doesnt treat her like she sould be treated and still takes advantage of him. But after all the time we spent together she paid for him to come back from cali to WI to see his family and her before he left for Iraq. When he was here he asked her out again and she said yes... But the whole time he was here they fought and he ditched her for his friends and stuff. Every time he ditched her she would hang with me. well he went back to cali on Dec 31st. Wehen he left me and her kinda went back to just bein friends cuz i understood she cant cheat on him. Well like 2 weeks later we got into a car accident together where my GLI got totalled and i held her as she cried all night. from then on we have pretty much been together. Like we spend as much time together as possible. i drive down to Whitewater to see her during week and she pretty much stays at my house thursday night thru monday morning. We do everything that a couple would do.. Go out to dinner, movies, she stays at my place, and intimacy. She tells me she likes me sooooo much. She is THE COOLEST GIRL I HAVE EVER MET! no lie bout that. i like her ALOT and she knows that. But she is still with her BF who is now in Iraq..

so pretty much i think im stuck right now. I dont want to pressure her to break up with him cuz i want her to make that choice on her own otherwise she might regret it. she tells me im the nicest guy shes ever met. We have plans for valentines day together and vacations for this spring and summer so idk wht to think of that. Like is she thinkin bout being with me exclusively? or is she stil gunna hold onto her BF and me at same time? Im afraid if i start talkin to her bout breakin up with him she will say we need to go back to just bein friends and i dont want that

like seriously she is the coolest girl ive ever met. If we do come out thursday you guys will see that. Her idea of a great time would be drinkin a 30 pack while doin a engine swap. and after that playin some video games or headin off to a party. She isnt like every other girl and HATES drama. Shes EXTREMELY nice to. Prolly the nicest girl ive ever met.

Oh man were do i begin on this one!!!I could go on for hours with advise and what not and if you come up or we ever chill i could prob help you out!I dated this girl starting 3 years ago and basicly fell for her right away. as did she, we spent every waking moment together, wether is was building my old civic to girl stuff like shopping or going to the beach (Yeah they have them here in WI for all you non WI people). She was and still is my everything. well about two years in we started to fight alot, i am a very jelous person and she started to work for the Nissan dealer here in madison. well as everyone reading this knows 95% of techs and car guys a piecies of **** and could car less if some is married much less in a commited relationship. now my girlfriend has a really hard time shutting people down (like most girls partly cuz they like feeling wanted) but that made alot of guys believe they had a chance. well in sept she left me, not for anyone else but just because we fought way to much and ill be the first one to admit i was a douche adn said alot of wrong stuff. well from then on we were off and on for about 3 months. It killed cus every three weeks or so after she would date someone (2 of wich were my so called friends) she would come back to me realizing she could not find better. we would spend about 4-5 days together and she would up and leave again because it was to much like a relationship and i am not the type of guy that plays the oh were just what we are bull ****! (props for you doing that for so long) Well the last time she came back to me we dated for like a month and it was awesome but then i met someone else adn i wanted to give that a shot and left her. oh man did that change things around on her, she now knew how i felt and would not give up on me for anything! I saw that girl for about 2-3 weeks then realized i couldnt be without my ex. Now i am back with my ex (Sarah) and we are amazing! We have been seeing eachother for about a week again and i know its going to work this time. eveyone tells me i am stupid but none knows how it feels or what feels right unless they are in the situation. It sounds like you and your girl are kinda like Sarah and i. Now where i was going with this... I dont want to tell you that you should sit her down and ask her what you should do but maybe its the right thing to do. This *** hole of and ex does not care about her. if he cheated he does not care... thats it, once a cheater always a cheater. i think this is something she will have to learn on her own. But really it sounds like all he is doing is keeping her around until he finds better just because he know he can control her like that. The way i have always looked at relationships is if its meant to be it will be. Relationships suck! But its kinda your call on what you think you should do. if your happy with things the way they are now just roll with it and see where it takes you but if your ready to have an exclusive relationship with her, which it sounds like she is ready for too, then ask. if she pulls away then it was not meant to be and if she comes back tehn she is all yours! She sounds like an amazing girl though i think i speak for more then half of the guys on here that we would kill to have a girl like that! Just feel it out kinda mension it without coming out and saying it and see what happens! good luck man, and sorry for my long *** post, i just hope it helps!as far as this other guy... **** him and if for people that think its fun to do this to girls i cant wait until they are ready to settle down and get bent over... carma is a bitc*hopefully you and your girl can come up if not thursday sometime in the future you sound super chill and 99% of the people around her are d-bags!

Haha it is but if he needs help i am willing to help with anything!Anyway i was thinking about it if you guys wanted work on it saturday during the day that might work better for everyone. that and its suppose to be 45*!!! Thats a heat wave! I was working on it this weekend with the garage door open at it was like 40. Just let me know what works for you two!

Hahaha yeah this thread kinda tanked but we will bring it back! Thurdays works then! we may run out of gas for the heater but there is a station right down the road to refill it!I am pumped, i have a good feeling about getting it running!Evan do you happen to have an extra MAF that you know works you can bring?
