probly already been covered but the sparkplugs for the 92 300zx turbo work for thes2 rb25det i cross reffed with napa from autolite to ngk the autolite plugs part# is 3924-11 the ngk iridium part# is bkr5eix-11 stock # 5464

I used one from a 98' KA24DE from Autozone for my RB20. That's for the sensor that runs to the ECU, not the gauge cluster. I believe a Z32 will interchange as well.

i hate to reply to a 3 year old post, but just for future referance: all RB engines share the same starter as most longitudinal Subaru drivetrains. all the 2.5RS, WRX, STi, 2.5 legacys have the same one.

just got off the phone with 2 nissan dealers, they said that:

(Throw out bearing) 30502-21U00 was not a good part #

They said that Clutch Bearing- 30502-45P00 ($33) was a good # and they called this one the throw out bearing???

also, P/N 30501-S0200 has been replaced with P/N 30501-S0284 ($26)

They gave me part # 32202-B9500 for a pilot bearing??

Could somebody with more knowledge than me clear this up? Thanks!

I'm sorry, the TPS from a GA16DE is the same as the coil pack connectors for the RB.

The TPS from a KA24DE will work.

Don't know the part number for the RB P/S pump but there is a write up on the forum on how to use your KA powersteering pump might be a more cost effective route.

Plug for HICAS pump rear outlet (for using a HICAS pump on a non-HICAS car) is a NAPA BK-7041067 or you can go here - http://www.cgenterprises.com/ and order drain plug # 1009. It's just an M16 bolt w/ a 1.5 thread pitch. If you get the NAPA one you'll need to cut off the the "pilot point" (non-threaded portion) or else it won't screw in far enough. Or just buy a KA24DE pump

What Clutch has everyone agreed upon for the rb20det ... I hear some websites are saying that the sr20det has the same clutch as an rb20et.

The clutch disk is exactly the same one another, same diameter and same spline pattern, the pressure plate on the other hand does not share the same dowel pin pattern, so these are not interchageable.

I was told by Mack at McKinney not to run Iridiums in the RB25DET. It appears that the iridiums/platinum tipped plugs retain too much heat and can cause pre-detonation.

As for spark plugs, I either had bad luck or found out the hard way that iridium and platinum plug are not design for high heat turbo applications, maybe good under stock boost (meaning running stock turbo) but still when I bought my RB 4 yrs ago, I found a faulty platinum plug on it (the ceramic coating around the tip was loose on it, ready to break off). I still went with iridium sparks after my build-up (running a hybrid GT35R/T04E turbo) and two plugs went caboom after 7 passes on the 1/4 mile. More details here:

Indeed, for people who are lucky enough to have access to an aluminium welder and press drill, its a question of buying a SR/KA B&M shifter (or whatever shifter you prefer), adding about 1/2 inch to the rear of the mounting plate to make it longer towards the back, filling all the original mounting holes, and redrilling them further to the back of the plate, it pushes the whole shifter assembly foreward for proper mounting on the RB transmission. takes figuring out, but very possible, thats what I did. *EDIT* seems like I went a mile longer than I should of, didn't know of this tip until I read about it, lmao: zerothread?id=112010 seems that one hole redrilling is required and changing the striker arm instead, hehehe both ways work

They are identical blocks, I use an RB26 N1 pump on mine, works like a charm, I don't use a collar, unless your thinking about reving the snot out of the RB (8K-8.5K and up), I don't see the use
