Yes. It was very porous. I also had to grind out crap load of imperfections on the inside and outside. It took me a good 3 hours for a correct port match. Also, the water channels didn't line up and had to be ground out.Other than that it bolted right up. If I had to choose, I'd pick the greddy.

yeah i sold the vh car because it really wouldnt be what i wanted out of it unless i spent some serious coin...if the engine were in an s14 chassis i'd have kept it.its hard to find a s14 that isnt beat to hell for less than 5k, the jag was 3.5k and does need some work and fresh paint but its still a nicer car than an old and worn s14 could hope to be.I plan to make a modified exhaust system, build a custom header, cold air box, proly see if i can tweak the stock ecu.then a manual box behind it for rediculous fun...they were offered as a manual in europe.they dont put out loads of hp but because of the stroke they make alot of torque, rated 322hp and 375ft/lbs.they are kinda funky and for a long time i though they were ugly...but my dad has a 97 xjr (almost identical cars) and after wrenching on it and replacing some things they're not too bad to work on and it would provide a nice break from nissans.

I thought the roads back home in SC were rough...until I moved out to Hawaii. Not sure what they do with the road tax here, but it def isn't spent on improving them.

ma

Im sure the 89-94 maxima spring would work, because the tensioner and idler are the same. Its the VG30E engine code, ie 89-90 SE or GXE and 91-94 GXE only.

Ah Jag, with electronics by Joseph Lucas, the prince of darkness.

Was re-wiring 240sx to rb motors just not challenging enough anymore?

Just remember the Lucas motto: Get home before dark.

It's not fun to say the least. I'm currently working on getting an RB25 out there. I'm deployed to the Philippines right now, but will be returning in a little less than 2 months. Sourcing a motorset isn't the difficult part, it's shipping it out to Hawaii in a timely fashion. Other than that the basic parts can be purchased on island, but the prices here can be a bit ridiculous. Can't wait to PCS back to the States in a couple years.

lol, yeah i suppose...luckily with the x300 series (my xjr is part of this series) jag wised up and started moving away from lucas bits.for example the whole ac system is nippon denso components as well as a denso alternator and i THINK the ecu is actually a bosch unit.

just incase i have been on the lookout for one of these...just in case mind you.

Actually in SC we don't even have inspection stickers. That was phased out in the 90's. If you get stoped a cop can write you a ticket on site for anything that would be covered in an inspection (ie tires, cracked windhield, ect.).

They repave the roads here in FL when they start to turn white. Downside, OUTRAGEOUS impact fees.

For a TO bearing, I do believe that its just a Z32 part. Not too sure. Check the Stickies

Question.....I have a 20 with a t3/t4e 15psi, 550s and a z32 maf.I also have a chipped ecu for RB25 turbo 14psi, 550s and a Z32 maf.

Now I know there's a huge difference between the turbos but do you think I could ok for a little while??? (Not hitting full boost)(I'm hanging out in the Broke dept. for a min)

25T should be hotter, T4 should be larger volume but cooler.

Try driving in Detroit...

One trip through the heart of that s***hole city (which is all I can claim to have done) will make you realize why american cars are so adapt to traversing potholes, and why they only travel in straight lines.

yeah its the same as z32, I found it right after my post

As for your question do you have a wideband? There is a big difference in setups but its worth a try, it might get you by for a little while but needs to be closly monitiored

I'm not even gonna chance it.I talked to CarlH today and I'm gonna have him burn me a chip.

I'll feel much better than having to watch that wideband religously.

Right now I'm running around with that turbo on stock maf and injectors. I don't even like driving the car, cause I keep on worrying.(I don't actually drive the car, I just take it around the block sometimes)
