hey from australia guys, just joined up.

just got a question. didnt think i would bother posting a thread. iam a nissan noob, been driving hondas all my life, just bought a s13 shell from jdm land. and a halfcut r32 gtst

it seens to have had a rb20 in it before, and has the r32 crossmember. wiring wise what is required , do i need to folllow the wiring walkthrough on this website, or is it plug and play .

thanks guys, iam just bit clueless on the wiring aspect . any help would be appreciated.

btw awsome forum you got here.

Dam coolwhip i need to come down to flordia. New hampshires cold!!!

Seeing as your from florida i think you would know this question best.I have a 96 240 with a rb25det swap. In my lame state i cant get it inspected at all minus a vin swap. I have heard from a few scources that i could get it inspected in FLA. My grandparents live there so i would transfer the title to them. Could my 96 be registered there?

It's not plug and play unless the previous owner somehow had the female ends of the harness and spliced them onto the 240sx chassis; but why the hell would someone do that. Use the male ends of the harness from the S chassis spliced onto the rb20 harness and follow the many wiring guides on this forum and others. However, it seems none of them are quite 100% complete (Carl H mentioned this is due to about 8 variations of the rb20 harness, i believe it, i couldn't find mine anywhere) so you'll have to piece it all together.

While we're chatting here, This is going to be my setup for next spring.

rb20:Holset HY35450cc deatschworks injectorsZ32 mafNistuneACT clutch of some sort (and all the other small mods, gauges, rad, e-fan, fmic, 3" full exahaust etc etc)

I'm looking for 12s with this setup. I managed a 1.8 second 60' with the stock rb20 turbo, but man does that thing ever start to fall on its face at the top end. Best i could do was 13.89 @ 99.51 (1.9sec 60'). I'm hoping this setup will fare much better.

What do you think ill end up with?

Yes they would. But gtr guys push 400, albeit riskily, and my injectors are slightly bigger than gtr injectors. I think I'll have to have a hell of a tune to hit 400 without popping something on an unopened block . I'm hoping for 300-350.

hey mate, thanks for the reply.

car is up and running now, and it was peice of cake doing wiring. cant beleive i was worried lol.

only thing i havent done yet is tacho.

another thing. i started car without maf sensor and in all the excitement i took it for a drive forgetting to plug the maf sensor back on.

the car would jerk and stuff aroun 3~4k rpm. does that sound right. almost sounds like a 2 step launcher

thanks again

Yes any nissan w/o the maf connected will hit a rev limit at 2200-2500rpm.

Keep in mind if your using a stock dohc tach it will read 1.5x rpm the engine is at. You have to recalibrate it or send it to be done, or swap it out for a nissan 6cyl tach.
