yeah problem is:

he's selling the coupe and all motors/ parts he has...

sooo i WAS getting it for dirt cheap, but now i have to find one...

everyone is trying to sell there POS 213,000 miles motors for like 400 bucks.

retarded

ive already got bearings and valves and some seals for a 0 miles rebuild, all i need is like 4 seals/gaskets and rings

i have basically everything else, except the motor haha

alright soo finally am getting some work done on this now that schools out.

i got it running, but it wont stay running..... you have to constantly give it gas or it sputters out and dies

i was planning on troubleshooting last week, but i straight up lost the keys. no worries i found a new ignition from the yard.

so instead, i figured id work on the front since i have both a broken MC and PS rack

Image

this thing was terribly painful to remove; partially because the KA sits so snug against it and partly because i had to bend a line that i snapped off the original rack; and i think was the root cause of my problems

found a rack from a 87 SE in the yard, someone pulled the VG so it was gravy getting it out.

Image

slipped in pretty easily and feels alot better. just waiting on new boots to install and then ill make sure it doesnt leak and whatnot

Image

as some of you may know, i helped dale (diezel01) last weekend with his coupe; he has his hatch at my house and we stripped it clean of all its goodies so its ready to sell.

i put in alot of time, and being the chill guy that he is gave me his old coils for free

thanks again mang!

sure they are ksports, but for under 200 bucks in my other conversion pieces, i can have a complete front end S13 setup, and the rear will be lowered as well. :ohno:

so i went to town, fabbing up the knuckles, conversion tie rod ends (they dont seem to be a high quality part, but theres been guys taht rock them and do events no problem so why not.

for those not familiar with the S12 its pretty much bolt on, the balljoins on the lower arm are s13, so the knuckle bolts to it; the conversion tie rod ends and the coils are all you need.

still not sure what im doing for brakes, either s13 stuff or q45s off my 240; i think for now ill do the s13 stockers, since i want to keep the swastikas till i need tires and ill throw the enkei's on at that point (the datto wheels aren't gonna clear)

the tires im running have a huge sidewall, so it will not be slammed yet, but at least it will be ready for low, and way better than any stock s12 offerings

enough babble, onto the pictuars (obviously its not all done yet) :bigthumb:

nice. So s13 parts go in pretty good up front. How different are the rear ends between the s13 and s12?

very different

im only using the dampeners for the rear.

you just have to get the springs in the size and rate you want; its similar to an e30 BMW or z31 in the back; IRS failsauce

alright

so its super humid today and i toyed with not doing anything but desided to get up off my a** and finish the front.

well its not "done" need to bleed brakes, tighten up the tie rod ends and eye ball the alignment a lil better.

but heres the finished result

i need smaller tires bad lul

Image

from the front

these are 60 series sidewall. it can go ALOT lower prob nother 2 or 3 inches w just 50 series tires and adjusting the coils

Image

think its gonna rub :ohno:

from the side gangsta shot

Image

Image

and the overall result

it looks pretty pimp

but the back is still stock ride height; that needs more ghetto fab install (and im going to work on getting it running first) looks like a foxbody mustang with the front low and the a** stickin p

cheers

Damn looks good Josh, and Lonismo, his wheels will only fall off once your RB actually makes it in your car and runs without you fugging it up. Stop crapping on ppl's threads seriously.

yay it runs!!!!!!!!

got most of it back together as well.... ran into a snag with the tie rod situation; but hopefully i can get that figured out in a jiff

sadly it sounds like it has a bit of a valve tap; not too bad, but never used to :ohno:

maybe its just the fuel being stale? i plan to put some high test in and fuel injection cleaner and see if that takes care of it.

i might have pictures but im too lazy to put them up; ill have more when i have it outta the garage. just needs exhaust/windshield and inspection

oo and lowerin the back

bump fools!

got the entire interior back in; waiting on a specialty die to finish up modifying my tie rods so i can drive around the block.

then all i need is an 80s mix tape in the deck and ill be soooo boss.

well

ya'll know im an interior whore

screw gutted cars, and all that nonsense its super fanboy and i like my cars lookin classy.......... :squint: ok as classy as an 80s s*** can look

bad news, the rear shocks are on backorder so i cant drop it yet; but im going to be setting up an exhaust shop appt ASAP; soon as i can pull her outta the garage and drive around the block.

ok PICS:

so as you might have seen, the center of the tunnel has to be cut to fit the trans. so whats a guy to do? i have a huge hole and nothing to cover it with.

then at the jyard i stumbled into a 86 z; w a digi dash and sat in it for s*** and giggles. then i notice that the dust boot will be about what i need.

Image
Image

zipties are handy

well thats a start; but now lets think; the center console is gonna be too far forward.

so i had to move it back about an inch. so theres a tiny gap now; but its not too noticable.
Image
Image

money shot

Image

not sure how im fitting the trim around the steering wheel, since i have an s13 ignition it doesnt line up perfectly :frown:

ooo hai found a spot for the ECU

Image

only fugly part of my interior for now

Image

where my hand is the stock panel sticks out almost 2 inches

for power options

i accidently ordered a non power harness.... so im SOL now. they DO sell NOS panels, but thats something i ask for christmas or something, because frankly im not spending anything on door panels. perhaps i will make a lower piece. so i only have one window crank thingy; so i need to go find two that match :)

i will have a video up of it running and what not as soon as the front is back on the ground. im just patiently waiting for the fedex man
