I have one important question for Marc, is the Snickers bar included with the kit JDM?

Alright IAP - what can you do for me.

I recently blew my T25 turbo for the 2nd time - so i'm tired of them. I have the SS junk manifold (came on the car when I bought it - I never would of bought that crap) and it's warped pretty badly - so I am looking to upgrade, rather than remachine it and still have the same junk part.

I'm currently set up for bottom mount, but want a top mount for sure this time.

I found this exact turbo: http://boostdesigns.com/store/...(from BD and everything) in 50 trim for sale for a GOOD price.

What can you do for me as far as a mani with flanges and what not - give me pricing and all that when you can.

My email is [email protected]

Thanks!

Good choice. Marc will probably chime in, but lemme toss in my two cents.

Ditching that lame mani will be a good move. Steering clear of that crappy rebuilt turbo will be an even better move. Cheap turbos don't suck, and good turbos aren't cheap.

Thanks, and yeah I'm done with that crap...it's pointless to keep spending cheaply as in the end, you'll of spent over what a good mani/turbo set up costs after repairing it so many damn times.

Unfortunately the turbo just sold - BUT I am still very interested and would like to know the details, pricing, and wait time for the manifold, as I want a t3/t04e turbo anyways..just sucks as i might have to spend $100 more but oh well. Also - if IAP has this turbo - how much for the turbo with the mani?

My car is a 1993 240sx btw - just so you know I'd need the DOHC KA mani.

Thanks!

I'd advise a phone call - you'll be glad you did.

(plus I like to know Marc's getting even less sleep than I get.... )

AZ-Just remember, I am coming out to your place to kick ya for that comment

Mustangs_Suck-Drop me a line tomorrow, we can hook you up, but I will be very up front about the pricing on the turbos. They are the most expensive thing in our kits and you can verify with AZ and Florida, these are brand new turbos with a bunch of upgrades we pay extra for, so you may want to be in a chair when you call so you dont fall on the ground when you hear the price. We don't deal with any chinese, rebuilt or ebay turbos, these are all fresh, brand new castings made just for us and they will last you a good long time with proper maintainence.

Talk to you all soon, as I *am* going to sleep now Greg

alrighty, I'll give you a call when I can either today or tomorrow pending on how busy I am. As for the price of the turbo - I can understand it'll be expensive, and while I won't be able to purchase right away - I might as well make a check of list and get all the pricing together and piece it together one by one. I'm going to need the downpipe and wastegate as well, so turbo,DP,header, wastegate, and all flanges are what I'm going to be looking at.

Chicago- We had no idea you were a NICO member! Of course we will help you out. As soon as your payment clears, we will be happy to refund you the difference in the pricing and also include all the items NICO members get above and beyond what is included on our website.

Hey IAP, I was planning on running a low hp (250-300) turbo setup with a t28 and some form of SR sidemount IC, which would probably end up running cheaper than going with the stage 1 kit, but will obviously take more work to sort out. Anyway, the reason I mention it is for comparison purposes. The reason I wanted such a small power setup is because with a sidemount and a tiny turbo, boost will be available to me in the 2000 range. I`d like to be able to use my hp/tq from down there and up on touges and autocrosses, saving time from downshifting. My questions are:

Mainly, is there a t3 setup that would start spooling comparatively to a t2x sized turbo? I figured the bb t28 is probably the fastest spooling turbo setup you can have on a KA, especially running 248/232 cams like I am. I don`t mind lacking the top end, as long as i`m covered all the way down to at least 25. So, to be a little more clear, is there a wheel size, a/r ratio, or whatever the turbo part is that controls spool and power, for a t3 that could put out at least some boost at 2500 and still push full boost to 5500?

Secondly, if I do end up finding a great deal on an smic and a t28, is there anything I could use from IAP in the way of turbo parts? The electronics and accessories (z32 mafs, jwt ecu) are pretty obvous, but how about the oil line for the turbo?

p.s. I think it`s pretty clear and obvious that i`m still very much learning about turbos/turbo setups... bear with me.

I've been pricing it out.It seems Marc's kit is the best thing to get. Unless you can make your own pipes or got connections. Why go with a t28? What mani are you getting? I have 2860 invested into my setup. Bought a safc to tune it but you'd need that anywayz. I also bought a wideband +350 because I'd like to tune myself. and then misc parts which are needed for tune up. This kit can handle high hp easily. With a budget set-up you won't have much room for upgrade until parts would fail. I say buy his kit. I'd at least go with a t3 on the KA but that's just me.

Marc and team IAP,

I would like to say that this kit is looking very promising. I' am really excited about stage-1 and beyond. With that said, I would just like to ask several questions:

1.) How can one get the intercooler the same color as the piping with out decreasing efficiency?

2.) How much is the A/C and engine (Condenser and Radiator) cooling efficiency affected?

3.) How responsive will the KA24DE (T) be with stage-1 and what is the power band like (e.g. 3400-7000)?

4.) Do you mind if I email you with additional questions?

Again thank you Marc and team IAP for the hard work and great price.

It's running Simple thing as getting spark plugs gapped correctly. It was a little lean across the board when I first started tuning it. So i added abotu 8-10% across the board and had perfect numbers.11.8-12.7 But after about 30minutes of tuning my A/f was running in the 10's hit 10.2 one time.... Ecu is still getting use to the system and making adjustments. Will see how it does tonight... So far it seems the walboro is good enough to boost.

Enigma-Email us anytime you lioke, we can discuss things more thoroughly there and not junk up the thread as well. Look forward to talking with you

Florida-Your ECU is now getting used to correct ignition Keep a close eye on those A/Fs and you are going to see them continue to run rich, we haven't had a single kit yet run lean with this setup, so keep us posted. By the way, we want to see some massive burnouts on film thank you very much!

Have a good one!

haha I think we're a little late on that one buddy! This thread is filled with all kinds of junk.

Would you mind making another post (entitled something similar), with JUST your pricing and availability/kit information? You can copy and paste from this thread if you like. I figured I could lock it once your done, and stickey it up top for all to see. Any specific questions about your kit (or whatever) could get their own threads, and we wouldnt have this huge thread sitting around all the time.

Whenever you've got time, just post it up and I'll do the rest.
