Automatics RULE the drag race world. No missed shifts. Consistant 60ft times, Better 60ft times, no loading and unloading the suspension on the shifts, etc etc.....

Anyway, the Bogarts werent that expensive. The Fly Stars would have been cheaper but I wanted to still pimp on the street so I got the P1 Billets. The Fly Stars would sell for about 900 for the set, and P1 Billets would sell for about 1300.

Ivan,

You guys should try and stuff a SP400 in there, and after you make all the parts, make me a set too

Whats Larry think of all this 240 stuff?

NDRA Turbo 4 only allows OEM transmission. I am pretty sure I have a handle on that. If I cant get the trans to stay together, I just might figure out a slick way to get a TH350 in the car like I did with the Supra and the TH400.

Larry is actually getting kind of excited (believe it or not) with the potential of more records under Sound Performance's belt. I think he believes that my car has great potential. After seeing how well the twin's car did on the dyno, and actually driving the car on the street, I believe he took a liking to the 240. I am in the process of building up the VG30dett for Gary's 300 and Larry came over and said "we have enough parts here to do another VG, why dont we drop one in one of the S13s we have for sale" I was shocked that these thought are rolling around in his mind.

Are there any fuel restrictions in turbo 4? IE nitromethane...alcohol...propane.

Gas only. Power adders ok. I dont think they would have a problem with propane / nos mix. Alchy injection would be fine. Just primary fueling has to be gas.

car is coming together VERY WELL! Any closer pics of the rear rim/tires to see the clearance? Hope you get a chance to work any bugs out and famaliarize yourself with the car before next season.

Well, the NHRA tech inspector came out today and checked out my car. I now have an NHRA certified roll cage good to 7.500 ETs

Are you expecting ET's anywhere near that?

I will probably slit my wrists if my car doesnt pull a 9.xxx on its first pass. I will need to be running low 9s to dominate Turbo 4. I would like to be the first Turbo 4 car to get into the 8s. And eventually, I want to run 8.5xx

Geez, what kinda numbers (hp, torque, $$$) are we talkin about to get the 240 to hit 8.5xxx?

I am leaning towards a tick over 800whp at the weight I am shooting for (>2400 vehicle weight) but only if I can 60ft in the high 1.3 range.

For the HP I am looking for, I have decided to use a SP71GTQ turbo and will probably have to spray it another 100 HP all the way thru the traps to get a mid 8 out of the car.

I tried the Bogarts on the S13 today and wasnt too excited. The fronts fit fine and are just barely under the fender versus the S15 front end on my S14 that the wheels tucked under nicely. The rears were a different story. First off, the upper control arm goes both ways around the strut versus the S14 which only goes around the front. The inside lip of the wheel hit the upper A arm at the back. With the suspension compressed, I dont think it would be close, but then there would be no way to put the wheel on or take it off with the suspension at full droop. The twin's car has adjustable upper A arms which might be larger then factory. Even after putting a half inch spacer in the weel just barely hit. The second problem was that the wheel stuck out of the wheel well too much. I believe that going from a 9" wide wheel to an 8" wide wheel and going for a 6" back spacing would work out the bugs in the back. I would have to do some more measuring to verify this. I took some pix of the fronts installed if your interested.

Where did you get your s15 conversion kit? Was it just a conversion to stock s15 front or s15 body kit front lip?

If you wouldn't mind sharing, who would you buy a CF hood from? My stock one is damaged, and not particularly light.

Thanks,

Noah

NICE . Where would I be able to get all that? Did you get those online? I want stock s15 look, but all I can find online are bodykits for s15 . I'm guessin all that should come out to about $2500?

Yes, online is probably the only way to pick this stuff up. Unelss you want to make a trip to Japan. The fenders and bumper cover were tough to find. I paid 400 for used fenders and 350 for the bumper cover that was actually damaged.

I prefer the clean lines of the factory cover. I also HATE fiberglass parts. Urethatne ROCKS.

Ivan,

yeah, could you shoot me the picture via email? [email protected]

Well, i'm going with 50mm over fenders in the rear, you think that will keep the 9"'s in the rear?

Tommy

Ps: also, i forgot, will the fronts fit with 300zx brakes or big brake kit(rotora or stoptech?)

Tommy, dont you have an S14?

For an S13, yes, with 50mm over fenders, you could just go with a 6" backspace on a 9" wide wheel and get them to fit.

I plan on doing the whole NDRA circuit. Every race. Jason Hunt and the CRXs are the main targets Not that Jason is a bad guy (he is actually one of the nicest racers out there) its just that the FWD Hondas have been dominating Turbo 4 for too long. I believe in the 93 season when we campaigned Stepanie's Civic, I saw ONE 240 compete the whole year.

I plan on a whole write up on phatka-t.com on my car when completed and there has also been some magazine interest too. Hopefully, the KA does me well and we can show folks what 240s are all about.

Ivan,

Nope, I have an S13, the rest of my friends have S14's. Plus I got the S13 for $600, it had some minor front end damage but, nothing to worry about and plus I was going with aftermarket body kit anyways. Too good too pass up.
