So what. First... You don't own either, you ride a little motorcycle.
That aside, there are forums on f*** everything. Ever eat cheese? Better go join a Cheese forum. Here are a few to get you started. http://www.google.com/search?q=cheese+f ... =firefox-a
Sure, it may not be a forum dedicated to building race cars.. but it is a forum dedicated to discussing cars. Why would you continually show up to a discussion of automobiles if you have no interest?

PoorManQ45 wrote:The large majority of members here have only posted a few times, and that was to get help on fixing their vehicle(s).
Good point. You have asked your few questions about the nissan you used to have... Those few posts are over, you can leave now.
PoorManQ45 wrote:So I would actually ask "why are you here" as you are among a handful of people that care about the performance of the vehicle while you're driving.
I am here because I have a genuine interest in discussing cars, and this is a discussion forum about cars.

Handful of people? Get the f*** out of here, WAY more then just a handful of our regular posters are interested in cars and driving.
PoorManQ45 wrote:This site mainly revolves around the sharing of information about Nissans/Infinitis, and to a smaller part, all vehicles. It does not revolve around performance modifications. That is but a very small part of the postings on this site.
Small part? Entire forums dedicated to engine swaps and performance hardly constitute small. Ever look at the home page or articles? Saying that this web page does not encourage modifications is pretty ridiculous.
PoorManQ45 wrote:If you want to say that this is an enthusiast site, you need to look up the definition. Hell, I'll do it for you:

Enthusiast:

"1. A person who is highly interested in a particular activity or subject."

Activity or Subject. The subject here is vehicles. The activity is anything to do with vehicles.
That is correct. People with a large interested in doing things with their vehicles. Not just using them as an appliance.

So we have established that this is a forum for auto enthusiasts and you say your not a part of this group.
Your not interested in the forum topic, and no one on the forum is interested in your continued posting...
So again, why are you here?

Do you not pay any attention?

This whole thread is a discussion about improving the efficiency, or the lack of improvement, of vehicles.

How is that not car related? You should take a look at the Ecomodding forum(member there too). Would you not call those people car enthusiasts?

And yes, there are like 100k members here, you are among a VERY small percentage that care about performance.

It would be interesting to get the information from Greg.

We have how many registered members? How many of them have posted even once in the last 6 months?

Active members is probably under 1k.

So that means you'd be in the 1% before you even start talking about performance related posts...

PMQ, meet a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser.

f*** the Elise, driving the Crusher is all about momentum... mainly, if you want to pass somebody, you need the momentum from going down a hill to do it.

Good thing V8s swap in pretty easy! POOOOOOWEER.

uhm. I'm going to assume that you're ignoring all of the 240sx subforums, all of the engine specific subforums, all of the motorsports subforums, the z subforums, the skyline subforums, the g35 forum, etc etc. Sure, ignore all of that, and your right! I understand that you're not a car enthusiast, but stop pulling numbers out of the unicorn sauce to prove your point.

So you are calling Greg and all the internet ranking sites out there retarded?

Greg likes to quote that we are xx,xxx members strong. He is quoting the total members, not active.

Why would I be retarded for doing the same thing?

I do understand your side though Red Coupe. if you look at active members, then yes, you guys are mostly performance based enthusiasts on the site. But isn't that a given? Why would someone that doesn't really care much about their car, when it's working properly, stick around on a site like this?

I am indeed a vehicle enthusiast. I just focus on different aspect of the vehicles then most of you.

BECAUSE THE WHOLE CONVERSATION STEMS FROM THE FACT THAT YOU CONTINUALLY POST HERE EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE TOPIC OF THE FORUM.

How are you not getting this?

I ask why you still post here, you said most people on the forum do not have an interest in driving/cars/performance...

You are retarded for comparing the motivations of yourself... An active member for 6 years with over 15 thousand posts, to the people who just sign up for quick help.

When did I say I wasn't interesting in vehicles?

A vehicle to me is just a means to get from A to B, when on the street. I want to do what I can to make it as efficient as possible.

I am indeed a vehicle enthusiast...

I think you guys are correlating enthusiast with performance related...

Here's you some numbers:
Total number of registered members: 156,914
Posts made today: 36,741
Topics created today: 3,205
Number of people who posted today: 1,901
FYI - we have over 700 articles written by members who are definitely concerned about more than getting from Point A to Point B. That number doesn't include the build threads either.

The subject is cars. I am indeed interested in cars...

Enthusiast does not have to be someone that is strictly interested in the car's performance.

My question still stands, would the members on Ecomodder be classified as car enthusiasts?

So, because our freeway/interstate systems are screwed up that justifies the need for more power?

I am talking about the cities that have extremely short onramps with absolutely no merging lane.

Yes. If you don't have the necessary power to merge at speed, you're gonna cause an accident.

Gee, there's an easy decision.

Hm. So, people are regularly speeding, and highways are poorly designed. You know what? That's not my fault. I could go ahead and buy a more powerful car, but that would just feed the problem. I'm going to get in a slow car, and treat the highways the way they ought to be treated! Damn everybody else! I might get into an accident, but principle first! I might have huge bills to pay for car repair, but principle first! I might have hospital bills or, god forbid, funeral home bills to pay, but principle first!

Yes. If you don't have the necessary power to merge at speed, you're gonna cause an accident.

This is caused by a completely different issue though. Lack of driving etiquette! If you are in the lane closest to the onramp and someone is coming on, you move the eff over!
