SIDEPIPE?! Well, my work here is done...

Anyway, I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it up this weekend guys. Its my mom's birthday, and she wants to go rafting or tubing or something... somewhere in CT, and at the *** crack of dawn too. There is a 90% chance I will still be drunk from the night before...

Sucks too cos I really wanted to meet you all, especially Dale (yes... he is more important than the rest of you.)

Made a stop in Northern VA for the evening. Getting back on the road at 0545 in order to avoid the beltway traffic as much as possible. I'll be in Epsom sometime in the afternoon. Gotta check in advance for accomodations and stuff. Looking forward to getting up there to do some work. Mayeb afterwards we can go do some parking lot burnouts and rodeo dosey-dohs! Hahaha!

I'm making the call right here for all NICO sponsors who give a damn to make an effort to get there and support this project. Nobody can use the excuse "it's too far!" since I am coming from the furthest place.

Ugh aint that the sad truth, beltway traffic is a bummer!

Dale, you are spot on. Unfortunately most aren't as giving of their time, or products. Dang misers.

Ok... How about 0430? Anyway, that hour is fastly creeping up, so I better get some sleep.

Update. I'm here in beautiful Concord/Epsom NH, and it really is beautiful and it feels good to be around fellow patriots and people who believe in the goodness of people, regardless of the current state of crap our world is in. "Live Free or Die"... man, that's a great state motto, and one I truly believe in. Live free to believe in what you want, do what you want without infringing on the rights of others, drive what you want without ridicule (uhhhh... ok, there's a limit), to dream as big as you want and just go for it and make things happen against all the odds.

I also believe in NICO and the oustanding work that has been started and pushed on by Dan and Sean on the Time Attack car, and this is my call out to you who have pledged parts, time, money, etc towards making this car a reality. There's an SCCA event here at Loudon this weekend, and I am asking why we aren't in it. Quite simple, we need help to get this car done. As for me, I am gonna do what I came here to do, which is be an extra set of hands for the guys, fab up some stuff, give some recommendations and learn a few things while I'm at it. I'm not the king of this; there's only one king and it ain't Elvis, Richard Petty or KT; it's Allah (I'm in the land of Live Free or Die, so I can say what I believe) and I am just grateful that I got here safely to work with the bros on this car (12 hours from the DC/Baltimore beltway; best time to escape that trap is no later than 0430).

Anyway, just get up here, please, and help make this dream a reality. Thanks!

yeah that is a pretty bitchin state motto. Also, no sales tax kicks ***. Their symbol used to be the old man on the mountain (dunno if it still is), which was a natural phenomenon in NH, where a rock face looked exactly like and old man's face. Then it fell off.

They're still using it (the face symbol). Property taxes... well, if people don't like them, then we need to vote on them and stop passing the buck and the unrealistic belief that politicians and govt officials are always looking out for our best interests. As Americans, we have been given the right to change our government if it has proven to be against the people. "By the people, for the people..." needs to be realized again. We don't have to keep taking it in the pooper, and as patriots, it is our God-given right to question authority when that authority tries to make us bow down to the institution. I think that Thomas Jefferson said that. I need to get back to the basics. Anyway, that's my political beliefs if anybody was wondering.

Here's another thing, over 237 years ago, our country was waging a guerilla campaign against an oppressor who tried to tax us without representation and tried to force us to conform to the laws put out by that same institution. Some very brave men put it down on the Declaration of Independence, all the way down to their very lives (treason was punishable by death in the eyes of the English; these men who helped form our nation were traitors), and they set up the foundation for a way of life not known before in order to form a new society and government that is by the people and for the people. Now, take a look at what is happening today. Get involved with your government and the ones who are elected to represent you and vote. Let's take back our government and get this crap we're in behind us.

Since I've been here, I've seen more hockey sticks than I've ever seen before. No gun racks... just hockey stick racks. Also, this place is definitely steeped in auto racing. Lots of yards with race cars sitting in them, as well as wrecked race cars.

I was at Dan's tonight with Sean to see what we need to do in order of priority while I'm here. We got a lot to do tomorrow. Again, if you can get up here and devote some time, parts and money, please do so. Dan's provided the place to do this work and Sean has put a lot of his own money into this project, as well. Dan's parents are very cool and very supportive of what's going on. Just a great group of folks who make you feel at home. I'll let Dan and Sean talk about what needs to be done, since this project is being led by them. As for me besides fabbing up some stuff, I'll be donating some new 17x9 rims and any other items that they need that I have spares of. Come on, guys! I know you wanna see your logos on that car! Let's get this car done!

Kangamangus? haven't heard of it, but I'll ask about it! We had dinner at Friday's tonite after working on the car. Man... I'm really diggin' the New England style and the place at Dan's... Man, that's what I'm talking about! I definitely want an old farmhouse and barn for my future home when I'm ready to set up shop in the USA. Some place off the beaten path in the woods just like up here. Cars, bikes, BMX, half-pipes, snowboarding, surfboard shaping and just a place to do everything I'm into. Live free or Die!

Tomorrow night, I'm heading down to NYC to catch my flight home on Monday. Tomorrow, it's me Sean and maybe a few others, since Dan is working in the daytime.

Well it wasn't a big weekend for photo updates, but some valuable assessments were made and work was done with Dale's assistance and one of the coolest neighbors around here as well!

Sean should have some pics of the progress up later!

Hello all! I am now back home in Bahrain, and I definitely enjoyed the weekend in Epsom at Dan's mountain retreat! I don't think the guys were ready for the action that took place, which amounted to us cutting out the donor section of Jake's non-driveable 240SX coupe (did it first and then asked for permission). When I saw how jacked that section was in the time attack car ( tweaked and buckled from some curb hitting action and then landing full force on something that created the buckle), there weren't too many alternatives. The options that were discussed were getting a donor section, partial tubeframe, reinforcing the damaged areas with brace plates. Of all the alternatives, the donor option was the most sensible for a few reasons- it was already in another car on the property and would be the cheapest and quickest way to get the repair done correctly. I was given the honors of cutting out the rail section, since I'm not afraid to cut anything (cutting disk, sawzall, torches are my friends).

Anyway, as was mentioned earlier, not much in the way of stuff getting done occurred, BUT when one is building something that is gonna be run hard and stressed out with loading and unloading, there's no time or room for slop. We're talking safety first and then chassis alignment in order to extract the most out of the suspension and power plant.

Again, I am most thankful to Allah and to my friends and the bros of New Hampshire and Connecticut for welcoming me and allowing me to pitch in with this project. As for now, New Hampshire is where it's at, and the time attack car is a serious project, so all of you who have pledged time, parts, money, sponsorship and other things, a big up token of sincere gratitude. For those who have made promises and such previously, please go through with them and let's make this exciting project an "all hands" effort. I'm in it to win it. That's the fighter/strike-fighter pilot's maxim, and I will go to great lengths to ensure it happens because I believe in the bros and in this car.
