errr.... yes I think I do that, I dunno when I can pull that off but I can try busy weekend.bina12834 wrote:hey sprock....can we get some night shots of that cut off and the light output.....brandon i know you already too some pic that that stuff for us, but i want to see some totally dark shots with just the headlights on.
Hey i havnt got any emails from you maybe they went to my junk folder i can double check. The problem with doing the lights inside is i would have to stick them right onto the glass since there would be no where else that i could use as a mounting spot. the edge in the front is to tiny to stick them to and to be honest they would block some of your light beam. the way the altima is designed well 99% of cars is that even with the light properly adjusted its going to hit the front part of the light before it leaves the actual headlight and if you stick a strip of lighting in there your going to loose some lighting which defeats the whole purpose of the projectors. i can do something about the turn signals though almost like a turn signal projector but its not really a turn signal projector it looks like it, hard to explain hope this pic you can see what i mean, look in the top corners of the pics thats what i did for the subarus instead of just seeing a bulb.dangeris wrote:Brandon, I've shot you two emails but you haven't replied. I know that you said you were super busy and that you wouldn't have time to reply but I really need to know if you could do this mod for me if I decide to go with dual projectors setup and before all of the spots are gone for this buy.
Basically, what I'm going for is instead of angel eyes. i would like to have the flexible LED strip form Oznium installed underneath the OEM shroud. This way it's protected by the elements. Basically I want it to look like this but the LED strip is INSIDE the headlight. I'm not sure if there is enough room for the strip or not but Oznium has the height specifications for the strip on their website. I believe it's less than 3/8"on an inch thick. Since you have the lights apart, you would know if it would fit or not or if you have to cut the OEM shroud to accommodate for the thickness of the strip.
Also, another question would be the Bi-Xenon setup. If I opt for that, when I put on the highbeams, will both the Bi-Xenon and OEM high beam kick on
Let me know brandon because I'm really really interested in doing this mod for my baby!
Very nice!!! What a wonderful news for guys who want projectors, demon eyes and leds!!!!!!spockrock wrote:
I don't believe so........spockrock wrote:just a quick question do the US A/C have DRL's??

Really? I thought DRLs were mandatory across all of N. America? Lucky buggers you lot are!domdada wrote:US A/C do not have DRL's
Brandon,..The LED strip is approx. 1/4" wide. it comes with 1/4" 3M mounting tape. I merely stuck them on underneath the outside of the headlight. What I'm asking is if there is enough room to mount them inside the housing underneath the OEM shroud (the plastic in front of the headlight with all of the ridgelines) Not sure if you have to cut it at the corners and take off material (the width of the LED strip) and mend everything back into place.brandonbeeb wrote:

I like your idea of the turn signal projectors though. They look OEM!

it all depends on how the person wants them on there car. you cant buy demon eyes there modified angel eyes. the problem with painting them is the light shows through and heats up and can even bubble. high heat paint isnt made for the material there made out of. electrical tape is flexible and wont melt. honestly never had a problem with them on all the retros ive done, most people like how the final product comes outRobPaulson wrote:is that an angel eye with electrical tape around it?
is that how the demon eyes will be constructed in the final product? as an angel with electrical tape?
+1This was yet another question I was going to ask you! I never thought about them burning out though...it was more of a scenario where I wanted to change their colour... Again, just for reference's sake, are you using 3mm or 5mm LEDs?Also, what's the life expectancy of the angel eyes? Are they difficult to remove/replace?headhunt3r wrote:Just a question for Brandon: For these lights that you are doing with the LED replacements of the amber, how hard is it to replace those LED's once they burn out? Or is it one of those things that's supposed to last the life of the product...? If it came down to having to replace them does it require opening the headlight again?
Is there a "break" in the angel eyes where you could use heat resistant shrink tubing instead of electrical tape? Just throwing questions and ideas out there Brandon. Not criticizing your work by any means. We're glad that you've taken on the challenge and stepped up to the plate to do these for us!brandonbeeb wrote:it all depends on how the person wants them on there car. you cant buy demon eyes there modified angel eyes. the problem with painting them is the light shows through and heats up and can even bubble. high heat paint isnt made for the material there made out of. electrical tape is flexible and wont melt. honestly never had a problem with them on all the retros ive done, most people like how the final product comes out
