alticoupe3.5 wrote:dangeris.......how long are your led stirps running at the bottom of your head lights? i like this idea and i think im going to mess around with it and see if i can stick them inside so its out of the elements.
don't remember off hand but I know that with these strips, you have to cut it, you'll need to cut the strip every third LED starting form the end (the end without the wire of course) If memory serves me right, I think I cut off 4 sections of LEDs, which would be 12. I did a write up on it and it's posted on the "how to's" section.

that's because the bulbs are 10 000k HID bulbs, my light out put is closer to the bottom with the stock HID bulbs.

bina those pics are the side cutoffs not the front of the car. the picture was also taken in the daytime and its only one side of the car its not the front cutoff, believe me in person they look amazing.in that bottom picture the cutoff could be sharper on the corner it looks like its flaring up

He knows what he is talking about, its how the light on the right hand and a bit on the left side flare up above the cutoff line.

ya its supposed to be higher but see the flare on the far side of it, it looks like the shield isnt flat inside, well both of them look to be flaring up.

Ok I think I might know a couple of places where I can try, again, it all depends if I have enough time. No guarantees.

Hey guys, it looks like i can get the led strips to work in the light, it would take a bit of custom work but im sure i can get it done for you.also the led should outlast the car.

the group buy is first come first serve, and there are only 8 spots left. Better act fast. You can check the first page of this thread for updates.

Hey guys just to let you know when you send your headlights to me mark them as a gift and reduce there value a bit or i end up getting custom fees, about 50 bucks a light if you dont mark them right, which means i have to throw it on to the total cost. so for future reference mark as a gift.i should have pics of the dual setup shortly for you guys and girls

Is there a "break" in the angel eyes where you could use heat resistant shrink tubing instead of electrical tape? Just throwing questions and ideas out there Brandon. Not criticizing your work by any means. We're glad that you've taken on the challenge and stepped up to the plate to do these for us!

BTW...did you get to measure to see if you can fit the flexible LED strip underneath the OEM shroud yet? I'm thinking you'll have to cut the shroud the width of the LED strip then mend the shroud back together. Let me know man....anxiously waiting to hear the answer...
The problem with heat shrink is that to get it to fully seal you cant cut it in half or else it will shrink to much and unwrap. it comes in like a straw and theres no way to slide it over an angel eye since its a full circle
