ok guys surmans lights are done on his way back to him in time for this weekend. they got completely overhauled just like dangeris lights which he has back in his possesion and is just adding a few suprises to them before the end of the week. i was telling mike i had a guy working for me at the start who was helping out with all the lights when the groupbuy started and i when i had darryls and mikes lights here i had to get them out by a certain day to make it for a car meet so long story short the guy was supposed to do some of the mounting and cutting and as things got really busy he ended up having the lights for longer then he was supposed to and the night before i was supposed to ship them i got them back and basically all he had done was mount the projectors and left me with everything else.
so i was in a rush to get everything done and in the end it ended with people who where not happy with there lights and i dont blame them at all. basically after that the guy no longer works for me and since then all of the lights have been hand done by me and there hasnt really been any issues other then a few shipping items and what not. mike's lights basically have tsx projectors in them that push the limits of fitting in a coupe light. in the sedan it isnt a problem, so its a jam to get in there without modifying the whole light.
i told mike they should be good to go cutoff wise and if for some reason they arnt wed have to heavily modify the housing to make any more changes just because of how wide they are and how they sit.
in terms of other lights we havnt had any issues because they use the fx projectors or bmw projectors which are alot more narrow in comparison and fit perfectly. other then the tsx projector the whole top piece was colour matched to his car, the amber strip was painted flat black and has the chrome led holders in it to give it contrast. there is dual projectors, the low beam hides a blue angel eye in behind the shroud in a thick case to protect it against shipping and what not. the highbeam now houses hid 4300k bulbs and a white demon eye on the front of it in the hard shell, i threw in 4 ballast for him since he will be doing a few car shows so he can have control over every angel eye, for example just turn on the drivers side blue one if he wants.
the shrouds have been body matches as well. the bowl that the projectors are attached to is flat black so it has a nice theme to it. ill tell you this it took about a day just to fix the aiming from the guy who worked for me and a couple other days to do a complete clean up and get them ready. the lights where supposed to leave but i had the pickup set for this morning and i sent an email to mike at like 1am after i was finished sealing them up and what not and asked him if he wanted a blue angel eye installed in the low beam instead. he said yes so thats when the all nighter began just to get them ready for pick up. i didnt have time to take any really pictures, they where still drying and where packaged up for shipping, heres a few teaser pics for some of you not going out to the meet this weekend
