Dat came up with this course design. I changed the end of it to avoid possible pole collision. Let me know what you guys think.

I just made some changes to the course. I took out the corner around the top left post because the lot dips downward there, which might lead to some brake lockage and excursion into the neighboring parking lot.

Also, I think it's a good idea to keep the course relatively short to make sure people's tires don't melt after one run.

Archie, nice layout. The only thing I would say about that is that there should probably be a long straight before that big sweeper in the center of the lot. Otherwise, you won't have enough speed to drift the entire way.

Anyway, let's hear some opinions. Which one is the best layout?

I estimated that we would need about 100 cones to do the course, so let's start collecting people.

I completely forgot about the Porsche Club autocross. But I think I will be there. Thanks for the reminder. I guess they don't post it on autox4u.com?

Just the rust on the rocker pannel and you can see the paint bubbling up a little on the drivers quarter near the bumper, there was previous body work there. Plus I asked to take out all the dings and dents, there's more than you think if you look closely. But I have other plans for the body, might cost more and take awhile longer, but it'll look much nicer.

I like that map I'll have to play with that later. I gotta install my new speakers Just to make sure this is a drift course right? Not an auto cross? Outta curiosity, as the organizers are we allowed private time to 'test run' the course to feel it out and make sure there are no safety issues, with the pavement or combination of turns?

Went down to Atco last night, thats a story in itself. But I ran only one run, a 16.1, much better compared to my previous 17.2 record

I know I coulda done better, my pedal stuck after the burnout and screwed up my launch. There were a few 240s down there, I'd say at least 5.

lol... Yeah. When we get this organized, we should get there early and get some practice in before the event starts. We'll probably have to adjust the course too so that it's not going over any potholes in the lot.

16.1... nice. What was the speed? I had the car on a lift today and was moving around the transmission. The stock transmission and engine mounts are really soft. I bet getting solid mounts would give you a couple of tenths because you wouldn't be wasting any power in twisting the engine/trans.

Dat and I picked up a couple of cones tonight. 98 more to go.

Steve, what's your last name and contact e-mail you want to use for the club. I'm putting you, Dat, and I for contact people in the proposal letter so we sound more legit. E-mail me ([email protected]) or post it.

Hey Miro, Dat,

When are we all meeting up!? I think we should have another meet and greet now that it's nicer weather. Miro, the car is coming along nicely. I'm still debating on what to do with the S13 shell. Been lazy to take pics.

On Friday, Dat and I are doing autocross (2pm at Giants Stadium) and then possibly going to Carlos'. Saturday, I'll be busy probably until 10pm-ish with school crap. Sunday would be the best time to have a meet with everyone. Let me know who would be up for that. Maybe we could all get together at Carlos' place or something if he's going to work on the car.

I'm working on the proposal letter for Giants Stadium and getting the course finalized. Got finals coming up in school, so can't devote too much time to it right now.

Damn this sucks. My computer is on crack, it keeps booting up and restarting, non-stop. Idk what I did to get it to finally work, does anyone have any ideas? Tomrrow is no good for me, I gotta help my aunt move into her new house. I'll try to leave my computer on so I don't have this problem anymore.

When I went to Atco I was seeing some nice big lots, it's further south, thats the only problem.

Don't know about your comp. Could try reformatting it.

Steve, are you free Sunday? I'm pretty confident that we'll get the Giants Stadium lot; just have to finish up this proposal and send it to them. What were the lots that you saw by Atco? Industrial? Or are you talking about the lots at the track itself?

Autocross today was amazing. They made the course pretty wide without too many corners so that people wouldn't have to pick up cones so much. And that means major drift... lol. Dat was told to stop drifting... and that his tire setup is dangerous... and that he needs an alignment... ahaha.

Sorry I didn't even check in the past few days, had no idea you were going sunday. I ended waking up at 1 yesterday lol. I talked to dat yesterday, sayin you guys are going to Englishtown this wed. I'll be there, won't be running...well maybe the strip, idk yet, but I'll be there.

Yeah, we're going to Club Loose on Wednesday. Sorry I forgot to post it earlier. Everyone should come out. I think the event starts at 5 and ends pretty late (11?). You wouldn't want to miss Dat and I crashing into each other if they let us do tandem... lol.

So I just sent a proposal to the Meadowlands. I chose a name for the club: Jersey Drifters Car Club, it was a suggestion posted way back when I first started the thread. You can abbreviate it JDCC or JD Car Club. I think it works better than anything we've come up with so far.

So hopefully we'll get a response back soon from the Meadowlands and can go from there.

Counting from the final course design, we'll need 107 cones. We collected some more on Saturday. I think we have 5 now.

Wait..your doing the Club loose event on Wed!? I thought you couldn't have open or vlsd's to run? Did they change something? If it's open to anyone I might be down to take the drive.

Haha. Yeah, I still don't know about that rule. It's probably a joke or something. Dat's watched an event there before and says that there were cars participating with open diffs. I can't imagine them turning us away because we have open diffs; that would just be ridiculous. So yes, we're going.

Btw, I think it's $40 to participate.

You guys still going tonight? I took off work early to make it on time, I won't be drifting, I still need stuff done as I've said before. But I will be on the strip. I'm trying to get there early to get my three or maybe more depending on the turn out and then watch you guys slide around.

Maybe I can even coax my friend with a WRX to come, he just got his body work done so he's not ashamed of it as much lol.

Club Loose was fun but kind of disappointing since we only got 6 runs and the course was just two turns... haha. Dat and I did pretty well. My first four runs were nice, then spun out on the last two trying to go too fast. I think Dat only spun out once.

Got to watch Steve on the drag strip a little bit. He filmed a couple of our runs with my camera, so I'll try to post those up this weekend.

I think we could improve a lot on the way Club Loose organizes their events (and also improve on the course design... lol). So if we get this lot, I think we'll have a pretty big turnout. I'm still waiting on a response from Giants Stadium. I e-mailed them, so if I don't get a response in the next few days, I'll try mailing them.
