Are you bringing it to state or private facilities? Granted you may have to pay an upwards of $80 to have a private guy do it, but they tend to be much more leaneant.

I was failed three or four times for my exhaust...and it was stock lol, but had a few leaks. I kept patching it up (was waiting for my new one at the time) and the last time I took it to em they tried telling me it was still leaking. I flat out told em No and if they don't pass me I'll get it passed. Sure enough my car passed that time. May not work for everyone, but it did for me. Next year I'll have to buy a sticker since I'm not gonna buy a cat.

Do they have the drift events every wed or once a month? I have the schedule at work, just curious. Looking back last night I wish I woulda drifted, but I had to get that 15.9 outta the way, it was bothering me. Now it's slide time I really wanna drift on the circuit, so I might be going to these club loose events often. Do you know if they do different tracks every time they hold an event?

i was going to a state station and they keep on tellin me that its too loud and that i have a leak .yesterday i was about to fight the inspector cause he kicked my fender and broke my brace on it then failed me for it

Lee, try to find a stock exhaust to put on for the inspection. I'm sure lots of people have them lying around.

Club Loose is the last Wednesday of every month, and they have a Saturday event once a month for group A and B drivers, I think.

the hard part is finding from the header all the way to the muffler and my back bracket that holds the muffler up broke off so i had the hangars welded to the frame

You mean you don't have anything from the headers back (i.e. no cat)? Wouldn't that be a bigger problem for trying to pass? As for the hangers, I guess you could just cut it off and then weld it back on later.

I think as long as you have the stock cat-back section on there, the noise shouldn't be too bad even with the aftermarket headers and cat.

Do they actually measure the volume when you get an inspection or do they just tell you it's too loud? I think the legal limit is 95dB, and that's pretty damn loud.

they just tell me its too loud but i got it quiet now packed the muffler with exaust packing for my motorcycle and made a silencer.can they fail u for not having ur power steering hooked up because they failed me

They started using the new racetrack at E-town for NOPI, and eventually they'll be holding the Club Loose events on the racetrack. That should be fun. Here's some video from the NOPI practice. A lot of these cars were at the Club Loose event also.

They never even looked under my hood at inspection, they'll prolly just think you have no p/s. I didn't see them with a decibel meter when I brought my car through, they just said it was to loud cause of the exhaust leak. Jersey's a ***** when it comes to inspection, just keep trying Remember that little red rejection sticker is your best friend. I honestly don't see why you can't just rock it non-stop, just go back every 45 days for a new one

Hey Miro you need some commentary on that video lol. I had no idea what happened when Dat spun out, I heard a loud bang, but I didn't think they had cones down that far. I thought he hit a curb at first lol. Those events aren't always at the end of the month, unless they switched up the dates from the schedule I have at work. Some are in the mid of the month and one month looks like there's none.

Yeah. There are Saturday events too, but those are only for group A and B drivers. Group C can only do the Wednesday events. Here's the schedule I was looking at. Where's the schedule for the Saturday events?



I haven't been doing too much lately except studying. Finals are kicking my ***. But next week is the last week of school, and after that the only thing I'll be doing is working on the car and racing until I start work in September. I got some money recently from winning a competition at school and also from tax returns, so car's going to be a lot nicer in a couple of weeks. I'll post some pictures as parts start coming in.

The next club loose event is on the same day as my graduation... lol. Hopefully I can get back to NJ in time.

Hey. Welcome. We'll be organizing some meets soon. I still have a few finals to go, but by next Monday, I will be working on car, autocrossing, or drifting all the time. So we'll set up some meets in a week or so.

Nino. You can get a new flywheel from Autozone for $70, might as well spend a little more and get a new one instead of used.

Let's try to meet up on Saturday night this week around 9ish. I'm open for any location, but if nobody suggests anything, let's go to the lot in Edgewater with the Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc (will post the address later). There are other car meets in that lot, so maybe we'll find some more 240 people.

Also, I'll be doing autocross at Giants Stadium on Friday (2pm) and at Englishtown on Saturday (8am) if anyone wants to come participate in those.

It was pretty hilarious. One guy came up to me and said "you know, you don't get any points for style..." lol. I'll post up some more pics later.

I finally got in contact with someone from the Meadowlands. So it turns out that it's now $3500 per day to rent a lot. I have no idea how the autocross people are getting it cheaper. Maybe the price went up recently or something. Anyway, if we charge $40 per person, this means that we need 90 people to cover the costs, which is pretty ridiculous. The good thing is that you can have the lot the entire day, it's $3500 no matter how long you're there. So maybe if we charge like $100 per person and have it be an all day event, we can cover the costs.

Also, they don't have any dates open until August. The earliest dates they have are August 5, 6, and 7th.

To have an event there, we need insurance for one million. I think this is K&K's standard coverage, so that shouldn't be too big of a problem.

So right now, I'm thinking that the best thing to do would be to see if people would be interested in an all day drift practice event. Or maybe it could be part practice, part competition, and we could offer some sort of prize for the winner (couple hundred dollars?).

If people are interested in it, I think they should have to register and pay before the event because we can't afford to have nobody show up and be stuck with a $3500 bill. So if we get 40 people that prepay $100, then we will hold the event.

As for other spots, a friend of mine at school told me about this airport in Central Jersey that let them test their Formula SAE go kart in their parking lot for free. It's a private airport, so I'm going to try to contact the owner and set something up there.

I'll be starting a website soon for our club so we should have some kind of "photo shoot" with our cars and hot asian girls to put on the site and get people to come to the event.

In other news, my wheels finally came in. The longest back order ever is over. Will probably be getting them mounted today or tomorrow.

I think the airport is actually in Hillsborough, not sure if that's what you're thinking of. But we should really try to do it legally. Our last police encounter was not fun... lol. (Btw, Nino, you have to hang out with us more. You haven't even been with us once when we've gotten caught... haha.) And if the owner is OK with people on his property, then we shouldn't have a problem getting his written permission to use the parking lot.

Anyway, I'll call him up later this week or early next week and find out about it.

We can meet up on Thursday or Friday if people want. Dat would probably be around, but Steve probably wouldn't be able to make it.

More pictures are coming soon. I got a lot of parts this week, seats, motor mounts, transmission mount, wheels, coilovers coming Wednesday, and some other small things. So I'm trying to get everything on before the autocross event on Friday.
