The ZO6 has won countless solo and road racing victories in SCCA, NASA, Grand-Am, drag racing, etc. Where in the U.S. has the Skyline proven anything? If a company were to strap the same size turbo or supercharger or NOS kit on the Skyline or the ZO6, the result would be the same, bye bye Skyline. It doesn't matter what the price tag, these cars just don't compare. The Porsche GT3 runs in GT for a reason, and the Corvette C5R runs in GTS for a reason. Where is the skyline? Nice car, but show my why we could even consider it to be a Corvette competitor? The court of opinion goes just so far, where is the proof?
"Higher" cubic inches? I believe you meant greater displacement, and if that's your belief, then you've obviously never heard of rotary engines, ever get burned by a 1.3 liter engine?(God that's even smaller than my civics, so it must suck)
As for the Skyline "proving" anything in the U.S, that's kind of a tough task since the car was never sold in the U.S market, go to Japan and say the same thing, people will stuff wasabe in your ears and nostrils, it has its own class in the JGTC. So you don't think the skyline could compare to the corvette? I dunno, why don't you go ask like the 5 or 6 million people and tuners who built like 700+ hp skylines with *stock* internals? Even 700hp is kind of low for a skyline. And for a car that's been a champ at the drag strip and circuit, it sure costs a hell of a lot less than a vette to modify(what's that tt kit for the vette cost, like 25k?), not to mention it also costs relatively less to purchase one, even in america, you can buy an R32 Gt-s for under 20k from motorex I believe. I think vettes are awesome cars, but thats just a really ignorant statement, I understand your a newbie and everything, but come on man, don't say stupid things without any proof.
