NSR A 32. Thank you too. That's great.

Get cracking on those suspension mods and auto-x the maxima!NSR A32 wrote:Hmmmm.... I'll be there the 6th. If you need help, let me know. I'll do some tech inspections.
That would be great. I'm told it's a permanent course, not a parking lot, with 2 "bustop" chicanes. I understand it's been used primarily as an autocross course, but has enough runoff room for drifting. I don't know how wide it is.skydragoness wrote:So what kind of course is this? Is it a small circuit fit for one car? You should have timed solo runs too, aka time trials. For us non-drifters
Anyway. I wish my Suby friend was back from Nevada by this time, or else she'd participate as well. Bummer. Oh well, perhaps I can get the bf to volunteer too. I'll report back on it Bubba.
You're now on the list...hvp014 wrote:I'm SO interested in this, this is great new to hear! I'll deff be their!! Thanks for the heads up!
That'll be great. Hopefully you'll have the car running well by then.imjoe wrote:i can probably do the data analysis for u and i might run my car. it just depends on the car's current state at that time...
might do some video and still photography too...
I may just have to do that....nsrZ32 wrote:Get cracking on those suspension mods and auto-x the maxima!
I see. Well I agree with not doing SCCA classes, that would be a PITA for people to figure out what class they're in, etc. But we should definitely have a FTD posted for both novice class and the experienced class. Also, people's cars are set up differently, perhaps a handicap should be given to people w/o turbo/etc or are running bone stock cars. I know I don't care about my times in relation to others, I go for my personal best so-to-speak, but I don't know if other people are going to be sore about them being posted (only people who've never been to an autox before maybe).Bubba1 wrote:

I've begun working on creating the forms. The first draft I have for the autocross is a combo registration/time score form with room for 12 session times, but I have it split into just 2 categories: novice and experienced. I was hoping to avoid creating multiple classes like Solo II does, to keep it simple. But if you think it should be split up differently please let me know. I'm open to suggestion.
I could also use some feedback on what kind of information you'd want to see when it's done (or not want to see). Like lowest times, or # of runs, or maybe 10 quickest times among participants. I'm just not sure everyone will want their times or rankings published. I think if we're sufficiently staffed, we'll be able to record track times on every autocross run, and be able to perform both individual and group analysis of the data.
Data Analyst is another good volunteer position I hadn't thought of until now. Anyone interested?
Interesting idea. I'll check into it. But I think the emphasis of the event is more on fun. And since the field is unrestricted, I am concerned that there may be a question of fairness.corey240 wrote:i say there should be an inside thing for fastest time to win nico gear for members, that could also promote nico that much more, join and win geear we dont need that nico is bad *** enough to promote itself haha i just got an s13 off ed so if the kouki isnt up il still be running a nissan

are you actually gonna go this time?? jkKA-Te wrote:Sounds like it's going to be super awesome!
That would be fun to have some good old fashioned V-8's participating. Hope you can get off work:bigthumbfrapjap wrote:Wooo, I may have to take out the Iroc-Z for the auto x and drift comp!
I'll see if I can get off for the weekend and then let you know if I can volunteer. (Damn hospitals!)
On the first page I pretty much laid out the basic requirements for the car. Add in checking the drivers license for minimum age, and the helmet rating (located inside), and tech takes a very short time. Shorter when done with two people. The cars don't have to be perfect, just safe.Nick240sx wrote:

bubba just give me all the info for the tech inspections.
It might not be the Iroc anymore. I might be trading for a later year third gen Formula with better suspension!Bubba1 wrote:

Either one sounds like fun. Pics?frapjap wrote:

In a rented garage on the other end of town. I'll try to get out there soon.Bubba1 wrote:
