I haven't had a chance to go boarding since I left Europe, but I'd be totally down for this. Any weekend is good for me, I have a very flexible schedule.

480sx wrote:Another good mountain is, well it was Big Mountain but now i think its WhiteFish Montana. Its pretty secluded and people usually go to the other nearby mountain because of the fog that you usually get at whitefish. Though if you stick to the glades its nice and clear. This place gets a ton of snow. Good times, lots of fresh powder. People are cool as is the local scene.

Friend of mine took this shot while we were there.

This one too lol. This pic is epic.. That is Glacier National Mountain Park as seen from top of Big Mountain on a rare cloudless day.

NO! NO BIG MOUNTAIN! That is the mountain that destroyed my knee. Never again!

Go tear your MCL, destroy all cartilage in and around your patella (Thus permanently dislocating your kneecap) and then come talk to me about growing a pair.

Not right away. The REAL pain starts the nest morning when your knee is literally swollen to about twice it's size. That made for a wonderful car ride back to Phoenix

i hear you though. i've taken a couple of bad spills that weren't bad enough that i needed help getting down or anything, but they were enough to sketch me out for a little bit. i can only imagine how much worse it would be with an injury like that.

The sled ride down was humiliating. I tried my best to get up and get my own a** down the hill, but my body wouldn't let me. I can still snowboard alright. Skiing is completely out of the picture though.

Blasted my ACL playing tennis on clay back in college and I'll still tackle any slope =P

I'm just playing with you man, I have been known to take it easy at times also. I never wanna hear the shotgun blast of that ligament going Chernobyl on me again.

I'm also gonna suggest Lost Trail....personally my favorite place to snowboard at.

Or if you're down in the Salt Lake City area, I would also suggest checking out Brighton imo. I always have a good time there...the only thing I don't like about it though is how crowded it can get sometimes.

I was just out there doing a tour this weekend! I hit up Breckenridge, Vail, and Beaver something-or-other (the place next door to Vail).

As for this year, is anyone actually interested this time?

If so, post your availability and I'll see what I can get...It WILL be New England area- Sunday River, Stratton, Killington, Kemo, etc.

I probably won't have time to go do this, but I wish I did.

Skiing + NICO people = win

I'd be up for a day-trip to Whitetail or something 'round here though.

You all must have normal jobs with weekend days off. I can go on a weekday. If I need to take a vacation day off I need to put in for it 1 month in advance. How many days would we be looking at?

I think ray was looking to set something up mid feb? Not sure because i never really talk to him anymore. But there will be a drunk snowboard/skiing meet in CT sometime in the near future but for a larger trip up north i think it would be mid season. Conditions at the mountains right now are garbage. I have been dealing with mud and s*** snow for the last month and a half

My uncle lives right across the mountain, you walk 100 yards over the highway to get to the base of the mountain.Personally I'm down for Mt. Snow.Story Time!!! At Mountain Creek, NJ I watched my friend get hit by a skier while holding his board, the rail of the board ended up slicing through each finger minus the thumb to the bone. He needed to rehab for a good 6 months. Two years later I watched the same kid fall a good 15 feet onto his elbow and dislocate it. The kid has really good luck, I hope him the best this season.

Mt. Creek is the closest hill to me. But it sucks. It so crowsed, and the snow is just polished into ice. Good for some speed, not fun for falling on your face. I'd rather go to Camel Back in PA. More room, smaller mountain but it's a better atmosphere.
