Yeah, Infiniti thought they'd be clever and label it for the system it DISABLES rather than what it ENABLES. I think TCS stands for "Throttle Cut Stupidity."

I wish someone would've warned me about that before I went snowboarding for the first time (First time skiing also)!! I ended up breaking my wrist...

Word of warning watch out for little kids that pop out of the snow like daisies while going around a blind turn! (I was just getting the hang of it too!)

I hope everyone has fun and no one breaks anything!!

f*** those kids. it's because of them that the top of my board is scratched up and they're also the cause of many a twisted knee

YOU!!!!!

actually, my qualm is with the kids that can't get out of your way or don't know how to stop themselves from plowing right into you. i'm a novice boarder, i'll admit that all day long, but i can at least control myself enough to not run into anyone.

i just got my board out of my parents basement..worst decision ever...they moved it aruond so much that it's all scratched up has little dings everywhere! i took some goo gone and instant detailer to it to clean it up a bit and it helped but it needs to be buffed. It's ready to board!!

i need to get some wax on mine before i take it anywhere. it was merely ok last year, but i have a feeling that i'm not going to like how it rides without fresh wax this season.

well my board only had 1 use on it and thus still has the factory wax which is still good, lol...the first and only time i went boarding was about 3 years ago with my buddies and they are complete aholes...they didn't even tell me how to ride, they just helped me up the lift and then we all raced down and it hought i was winning but that's only cause i had no control and was going as fast i could straight down...little did i know there was a turn coming and i had no idea what to do so i kind of just crashed on purpose but man did it hurt.

my buddies just went right by me while i lay there in agony and they went all the way back up and came back around and then would stop right in front of me throwing snow all over me....i got back up and tried going once more but my ankle was so messed up i had to sit out the rest of the day....it took 3 months for it to return to normal.

hahaahaha. i only laugh because that's exactly how my college room mates taught me to ride. bastards

once i would get going, one would come right beside me and just push me down lol. i didn't get hurt and i laughed at myself the entire time, but sometimes the best way to learn something is to just do it and figure out your own rhythm.

yea i mean i couldn't get off the ground...they came by the third time and they finally stopped and are like you okay, i'm like no, i can't get up...so they taught me to get up and then how to stop....at least how to try to stop, lol.

The worst thing is though trying to setup your board...cause you don't know what your stance is until you get up there and go...i changed my a few times until i got it to where i kind of like it...i need different bindings though..because i have an awesome board, and awesome boots.

i can't have my boots too tight. i need to be on the balls of my feet for whatever reason. my friends set up my board for me. we sat for a good hour in the house tweaking it until i felt the most comfortable, then we made one adjustment after the first couple of runs. ever since then, i haven't changed it since, it's perfect.

i like all my gear, but i'd like to get a new set up. i just can't afford it. we might have to go rob macross.

salomon free ride board, burton bindings, forum boots. i'd like to get a burton free style, i think it'll react better to how i ride as opposed to a free ride. i like my current bindings so i'd probably just end up with another pair of burtons.

Alright, February 26, 27, 28 at Wildcat Mountain. http://www.skiwildcat.com/trails.html

Lift ticket is $143 for all three days, so under $50/day! Thats pretty damned decent for a big mountain.

Motel: http://www.outdoors.org/lodgin...earch $69/night. Cheap to split.

Are you in?

frapjap wrote:Alright! I'm glad there is interest this year! Lets aim for FebruaryPlease, post up what works for you asap. Even request if off now if you have to.

As for right now- I am in for any weekday (when its cheaper and less crowded) or weekend. Whichever brings more members out!

We can all cram into a hotel room (or two) as needed and split the cost.

In regards to what mountains under consideration, here is the list of mountains that don't suck.- Shawnee Peak (ME)- Sunday River (ME)- Mt. Cranmore (NH)- Attitash/Bear Mountain (NH) (Awesome!)- Bretton Woods (NH)- Black Mountain (NH)- Wildcat (NH) (Awesome!)- Stratton (VT) (Awesome, and I might be able to get discounts on lift tickets)- Killington (VT)- Mt. Snow (VT) (Awesome!)

Post your best days ASAP and we can all come to a compromise and I'll work on organizing a group rate on lift tickets for the days we choose to go. Feel free to invite friends and family, as long as they can respect a hotel room and not trash it/ruin the members name (or mine!) on the hotel reservation.

Looking forwards to this, guys!
super duper sad face.

I think these areas are a bit of a trek for me (im in MD) and its sad because I and my bf (Passt) have been trying to take a weekend ski trip too and it would be an epic time with some NICOclub fellows.

eh....next time i guess!
