This specific (Nissan) power pup will work on your car, whether manual or CVT.nnguyen wrote:so what a 2.5s CVT would not work will with this power pump?
=/ a little confuse, the site does not mention manual only =/
why wouldnt it benefit you?08altima35 wrote:
Well i already have a trust/greddy emanage blue piggy back ecu so i doubt this would benefit me, but will be interested if i'll be able to squeeze out some more power.

suppose you were able to use both at the same time, which im not sure you can, but speaking theoretically...you can rev your engine to 7100RPM, and tune the fuel all the way there with the greddy?
i have a question though. how did u get the greddy to work, and why are you not using the eManage Ultimate, instead you are using the blue.
says it all in the PDF I posted. so yeaht it removes the WOT limiter but I didn't check for speedo adjust for the tire size.JDRosenberg07 wrote:So mcheddadi, the gauage tuner that you posted will do all the same things and more than the ones that have been out can do right?
The PDF also talks about the triple dog gt pyrometer kit and the pyrometer probe. what are theses for?
And can this one also remove the WOT governor and adjust the speedo for tire size for our a/c's? one of the other triple dog tuners wouldnt do that on the altimas.
are you kidding me? did you LIKE OPEN THE PDF I POSTED? did you read the feature it offers????? OF COURSE ITS WORTH IT, and its already in backorder since they all sold out I was told from Gray who works there.DaCoupe wrote:Alright so who's got the triple GT and is it really worth it?
I was just wondering if it applies to our A/C too. cause with the power pup(?) i think it says it works for the altimas but when you see the pdf it shows that the WOT gov was only for the 5.3L V8's.mcheddadi wrote:Ok I checked and I does speedo adjust for tire size!!! AWESOME!that means we arn't limited to 215/55/17 proportional tires anymore! AWESOME!
The amount of horse power increase will depend on a lot of factors such as relative humidity and ambient air temp at the time of the test. I suspect each car will be different with the amt of increased HP but as a safe avg. expect to see anywhere between 10 - 20hp. The PDF states "up to 35hp" but remember, this device is not just for our motors, it's for ALL of the models listed in the PDF.dldjros69 wrote:When adjusting the the timing plus 2, will that increase hp? How much? Will i have to use 91-93 octane?
Again...this goes back to RTFM!..or in this case the PDF. Yes it does a lot of other things aside from increasing the HP/ acceleration. This device is actually better than the ScanGuageII that I have currently hooked up in my AC and it definitely has a better graphical interface. I'm really thinking of getting this and making a custom enclosure for it.dldjros69 wrote:Can this puppy do anything else to increase hp, or acceleration?
The air/fuel mixture is detonated 2 degrees earlier than stock settings. Advancing the timing (within a reasonable amount) gives better efficiency because the power stroke is more "complete"It's kind of riding a bicycle and pedaling at the top and pedaling at the bottom; pedaling while your feet is at the top gives you a better power stroke.dldjros69 wrote:Im really not sure what that means to advance the timing?
Sorry for coming off like an A$$ Dan....btw..you going to maxentrophy's house in march for that party?dldjros69 wrote:Take it down a notch D-man
I want to hear it from informed people not a brochure.
?so by advancing the timing, u will see a 10 to 20 hp gain?Im really not sure what that means to advance the timing?
As for the RTFM comment - im only concerned with hp/acceleration issues.
Does this thing do anything else besides timing advances to increase hp?
Sorry for my noobness
If Honda can get a 2.0 I4 to push out 197, I'm sure the VQ can be better. Besides, the 350Z VQ got 306, with extensive work of course but I'm just saying there's definitely potential.08Coupe wrote:That said a well tuned engine like a VQ that has been tuned and retuned by nissan may not have such big gains IMO
Seriously, this PDF is as accurate on the Triple Dog GT as it gets. AT LEAST CHECK OUT THE TABLE that tells what I can do specially for the nissans.40410GTGasproductinformationSheet1.0.pdfdldjros69 wrote:Take it down a notch D-man

Its all good, i just wanted some edamucation. I think i understand what it means to advance the timing now.dangeris wrote:Sorry for coming off like an A$$ Dan....btw..you going to maxentrophy's house in march for that party?
