This specific (Nissan) power pup will work on your car, whether manual or CVT.

Well i already have a trust/greddy emanage blue piggy back ecu so i doubt this would benefit me, but will be interested if i'll be able to squeeze out some more power.
why wouldnt it benefit you?

suppose you were able to use both at the same time, which im sure you cant, but speaking theoretically...you can rev your engine to 7100RPM, and tune the fuel all the way there with the greddy?

i have a question though. how did u get the greddy to work, and why are you not using the eManage Ultimate, instead you are using the blue.

I'm talking with someone named gary that works there for more info, he gave me the product info pdf 40410GTGasproductinformationSheet1.0.pdf

I'm talking to him about giving us group discounts. well see what he says, but JEGS.com's prices is already 60$ reduced

EDIT:here's what he said, "I will mention that to Inside sales. Can not speak for them. But firm believer in "If you do not ask you will never know""

If a mod want to contact them directly through their sales department It might speed up the process he said tough. Just mention you talked to GARY from customer support

On a side note FGFCaoupe, how did you get your tail lights like that? What overlays are you using? I know Bat and LBC both sell them but the cut out part doesn't seem small enough to be like yours. Unless... You painted them? If they are indeed Bat / LBC's overlays, I would finally be sold!

So mcheddadi, the gauage tuner that you posted will do all the same things and more than the ones that have been out can do right?

The PDF also talks about the triple dog gt pyrometer kit and the pyrometer probe. what are theses for?

And can this one also remove the WOT governor and adjust the speedo for tire size for our a/c's? one of the other triple dog tuners wouldnt do that on the altimas.

says it all in the PDF I posted. so yeaht it removes the WOT limiter but I didn't check for speedo adjust for the tire size.

Ok I checked and I does speedo adjust for tire size!!! AWESOME!that means we arn't limited to 215/55/17 proportional tires anymore! AWESOME!

I was just wondering if it applies to our A/C too. cause with the power pup(?) i think it says it works for the altimas but when you see the pdf it shows that the WOT gov was only for the 5.3L V8's.

Can you confirm with Gary that everything on the PDF works for both A/C's?

Mehdi - Since you seem to be carrying the ball here, i got a question. Others feel free to answer, thank you.

When adjusting the the timing plus 2, will that increase hp? How much? Will i have to use 91-93 octane?

Can this puppy do anything else to increase hp, or acceleration?

I think people here who are truly interested in this NEED to open the pdf and read it. I've read at least a 1/2 dozen re-posting of the same answer!
dldjros69 wrote:When adjusting the the timing plus 2, will that increase hp? How much? Will i have to use 91-93 octane?
The amount of horse power increase will depend on a lot of factors such as relative humidity and ambient air temp at the time of the test. I suspect each car will be different with the amt of increased HP but as a safe avg. expect to see anywhere between 10 - 20hp. The PDF states "up to 35hp" but remember, this device is not just for our motors, it's for ALL of the models listed in the PDF.
dldjros69 wrote:Can this puppy do anything else to increase hp, or acceleration?
Again...this goes back to RTFM!..or in this case the PDF. Yes it does a lot of other things aside from increasing the HP/ acceleration. This device is actually better than the ScanGuageII that I have currently hooked up in my AC and it definitely has a better graphical interface. I'm really thinking of getting this and making a custom enclosure for it.

Take it down a notch D-man

I want to hear it from informed people not a brochure.

?so by advancing the timing, u will see a 10 to 20 hp gain?Im really not sure what that means to advance the timing?

As for the RTFM comment - im only concerned with hp/acceleration issues.

Does this thing do anything else besides timing advances to increase hp?

Sorry for my noobness

The air/fuel mixture is detonated 2 degrees earlier than stock settings. Advancing the timing (within a reasonable amount) gives better efficiency because the power stroke is more "complete"It's kind of riding a bicycle and pedaling at the top and pedaling at the bottom; pedaling while your feet is at the top gives you a better power stroke.

Basically, take the time to read:http://www.miata.net/garage/Kn....htmlh ... os....html

Be sure to read the increase in octane portion as I asked that question before as well

I've ordered mine and it was supposed to ship Feb 16 but nooo....

From years of tuners and tunes on big american V8's I usually got between 5%-10% more power. More if it helped other mods such as headers, real cold air intakes, underdrive pulleys by correcting rich/lean conditions removing factory torque managment..That said a well tuned engine like a VQ that has been tuned and retuned by nissan may not have such big gains IMO

If Honda can get a 2.0 I4 to push out 197, I'm sure the VQ can be better. Besides, the 350Z VQ got 306, with extensive work of course but I'm just saying there's definitely potential.

Seriously, this PDF is as accurate on the Triple Dog GT as it gets. AT LEAST CHECK OUT THE TABLE that tells what I can do specially for the nissans.40410GTGasproductinformationSheet1.0.pdf
