Has anyone added a header to a SOHC engine? Is it worth the extra noise?

I want to buy for my S13 KA an exhaust.

Stainless steel, 2.5" piping, 22" resonator, dual tip muffler (those 3" dual tips or whatever look hot and incognito) + catalytic converter.

Shipped to Oakville, Ontario, Canada

Price? Do you have an email we can communicate over. Do you accept paypal?

Also where can I get the new rubber/polyurethane hangers (I remember there was people selling those).

does anyone know what this exhaust is. it has a 3" pipe going into a cat. then dual 2.5 or less pipes leading to a muffler. with 2.5 exiting to the rear of the car?

I still didn't get my reply

Postal Code L6H2B6 if u need that info for quote.

Also out of curiosity the T304 STAINLESS that you use, what is the tubing thickness like? 18 gauge (.049" wall) or 16 gauge (.065")? Just curious.

Please do quote me... I want to get this stuff heh.

Also is it possible you guys make it closer to the chassis? I will be running either rear stock swaybar or rear whiteline swaybar or no rear swaybar at all so it shouldn't be much clearance issues I would guess... let me know please...

EDIT:

Based on what I read in thread shipping is 75$ to canada?

So that would be 740$USD total? Can we make this happen... awaiting response... catalytic converter, stainless steel, 2.5" piping, 22" resonator, and dual tip muffler...

And let me know if what I asked is possible

heya, much interested in the 3" stainless dual tip, 22" resonator system. it will be a 2-3 weeks but i need to ask a couple questions first.

the 22" resonator isn't stainless, soo.. would something along the lines of some header paint be good for anti-corrosive-ness?

the cat. does it make the system sound any different? any quieter? if so, i want it.

finally, is the dual tipped muffler chambered? i've read that a chambered muffler like a flowmaster or something would impede exhaust flow, especially on a forced-induction vehicle. but i'm sure if it's a 3" exhaust everything will be set up for turbo

my bad, 22" is the biggest

Hi Guys!

Fellas, I love you all like family, and I totally appreciate the extreme interest in the product, but I gotta say, I don't often check this thread, and EVERY question is answered in the first post of this thread...

Please, please, take a second and read at least Page One... I'd hate for someone to get pissed at a lack of response when the answers are all right there.

Pricing hasn't changed since Day one, and it won't as long as there's good demand.

To answer a few of the questions here:

Yes - Resonator, muffler and cat are ALL Magnaflow units.

We can now supply 22" resonators in SS.

Our mufflers are not chambered. Flowmaster units do NOT flow as well for this application, regardless of what you've read.

We ship to Canada, $75, add a couple extra days for Customs processing.

"Custom" modifications are the responsibility of the buyer. We've gotten this system as close to the chassis as possible without adding additional bends and without interference with other parts. New hangers are recommended with any new system, get them at your local parts store.

We don't sell mufflers separately, sorry.

We accept PayPal, and te BEST way to order a system is to email your selection to [email protected] and we'll send out a PayPal invoice. Easy and safe, and faster than phone or forum posts.

Thanks guys!!!!

Well I am new to this Forum.I just purchased a 1989 240sx Fastback and my 1st order of business is a catback system. I literraly read all 20 pages of this post have watched the videos of the exhaust in its various formats and i'm sold. I just ordered my exhaust. Going with the 2.5" catback, 22" resonator and dual tip muffler. And I agree it looks really nice on the fastbacks. Im having mine shipped to my shop at work where my cars is as we speak, so I look forward to installing it when it arrives to my job. Looking forward to exploring the forums some more for insight on which way I want to take my 240 in.Greg thanx for the quick response to my emails so far as well. Payment sent to you from (aburke727)

I'm very new to S13's and have been a V8 muscle and Honda fan for the longest time. I'm sure it will be pretty obvious that I don't know much about the S13 yet but absolutely love them!!! I wish I would have bought one along time ago I only can afford a cat back for now is that something that BRM offers? I love the dual tip look. The exhaust system that I have been most impressed by the sound is the Blitz Nur Spec R but I'm excited to hear the BRM sound. I say this only because I've been listening to the different sounds of exhaust systems on youtube. Is there any links to youtube or anything else w/ that exhaust on an S13 without major exhaust modifications (single or dual)? I have been looking through this thread but just don't have alot of time to go through all of it. From the reviews, I'm really excited about it though. Any info would be much appreciated.

I'm a total noob when it comes to most things cars (just got my first 240!) and I was wondering how easy/hard this system is to install on a completely stock '95 S14, either with or without the cat. I understand it's bolt on (?) and from what i've heard that's a pretty easy installation, but I'm not sure. Anybody who has purchased one have an answer for me? It would be most appreciated.

I'm this close to placing my order for this exhaust after reading all of the positive comments and watching video clips, but I'm also looking at this Megan exhaust.Does anyone know how the Megan type-2 dual exhaust tip (black) compares. Here's the link:http://www.frsport.com/Megan-Racing-Typ ... _9408.html " TARGET="_blank">http://http://www.frsport.c...html

Okay, i have a BRM Stainless Steel Exhaust: 2.5" piping, 18" resonator, dual tip muffler and high flow cat and it sounds Awesome (thanks Greg)....but i want the exact same thing except for it to be 3" any one wanna trade me?? i've had it on the car since March timeframe, still looks like new. Reason for wanting the 3" is i got SR20DET installed a couple days ago and it it leaking where the down pipe meets the cat. I know, I know, your probably asking why i got the 2.5" in the first place, and all i can say is... ....and yes, these exhaust do sound GREAT just like everyone says they do, including me.

No real need for 3" unless you're running BIG boost... Just take care of the leak issue, you'll be fine!

Let me know if I can help at all.

when i got the car back from SR20store, Marco (owner) said that the cat was too small and that i was better off with a 3" exhaust. I mean a 3" downpipe connecting to a 2.5 cat with the same size piping all the way to the muffler which is also 2.5 doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me atleast. how would you fix that leak by the way? Sidebar: can't drive my car cause i sprained my ankle playing basketball

I'd have to see the system to figure out where it's leaking, but I run a 3" DP to a 2.5" catback, with over 400 hp, no issues.

Might be wise to have the front cat flange lopped off and changed to a 3" flange.
