Blew up the sr in the mountains last Friday. Had an awesome run though, so nice to have the extra little power out of the corners. Anyways, started working on the vh again. It's coming along pretty well should be in here in the next few weeks hopefully. Maybe this one won't blow up

Damn, sorry to hear that. Ringland, sleeve, spun bearing, timing chain snapped?

Good luck with your next project. Looks like it will be nasty.

Haven't checked compression yet, I'm betting on head gasket and all ringlands lol doesn't even have enough compression to start or catch on any cylinder. I'll put that off until my coupe runs again. Tired of messing with that pos sr. Might end up putting my ka back together and throwing it in there until I feel like putting money in the sr.

Jesus, my car was making almost twice the power as yours and all I did was hurt the compression on #2, what the hell did you do?

intense mountain run, overheated, heater hose popped off, gasket for water pump blew out, lost all water. the closest place i was comfortable pulling over was too far and it was already too late. s*** happens, im not worried about it. better that i finally finish my vh project anyways, when im done with that ill consider building the sr.

Ahhh I see, you tried to melt it.

Yeah, one of the main reasons I never really took my car to the mountains to often was because after some fairly hard "spirited driving" I would knotice that my coolant temps were in the 215-220 range, which always made me a little uneasy. One more thing I'm going to remedy while my car is down getting the bottom end stuffed with forged goodies.

We notched the frame rails and crossmember on Saturday just have to weld it up. Just need a few parts for the transmission and I'll be good to go anybody know if the j30 automatic starter is the same as a z32? Or if an auto z32 starter is the same as an na spd? They look pretty similar haven't had a chance to research yet though.

I would but its not my starter or I would have already offered, I do have a 5 speed starter that is weak but still turns, I'm not sure if it would have the ump to spin the vh over but if you want it you can have it.

well i ordered the isis dual n1 but its currently out of stock and enjuku is waiting for the shipment to come in so they can send me one. im going to fit it and see how much pipe im going to have to add to get the look i want. i really wished the circuit sport exhaust wasnt discontinued because thats the exhaust i really wanted and ive seen it on a car and its tips were turned up a little bit, looked really nice. also i dont know anyone else running the Isis dual N1 so i have no idea how it sounds but i hope it dont make my car sound like a freaking honda with a fart can exhaust.

my ISIS Dual N1 exhaust came in today, im getting ready to go to my buddies house and put it on. debating on leaving the silencers on or taking them off, i dont let the idea of bringing to much attention to my car but at the same time i want it to be loud.
