Good news everyone, I popped a ringland on the sr, damn nissan pistons and their weak a** ringlands, so if anybody knows of a good condition s14 sr short block I can score on the cheap let me know.

Fuuuuuck that sucks man, time for forged pistons? Can buy em for a hell of a lot cheap than a short block I'm sure. What's the compression at on that cyl? Lemme know maybe I can find you a deal on some from a friend or something.

Compression remarkably only dropped to 90 psi on #2, so it still runs but the idle takes a little bit to stabilize after letting off the throttle.

I wasn't planning to get a used short block unless I could get it for considerably cheaper than I can get a set of forged inrernals, and the more I think about it the more I think I'm just going to go ahead and get the forged goodies, just as soon as I get the monies.

Fun picture, this is the spark plug out of #2, all the others look just fine.

I was going to go, but I popped a ringland on #2 in my car, I was still thinking of trailering it up but, I'm in california right now and won't be back until the end of next week.

well thanks to TAmos827 i believe the issue with my car is figured out, the #2 injector is bad. good thing i still have my old motor and can pull the injectors from it.

pulled the injectors from my old motor today and sadly i damaged one so i still have 3 good ones. i hope to replace the bad one in my car tomorrow and hope it fixes the running like s*** issue cause im ready to be back on the road. this has already taken longer than i ever expected but when you have a daily driver thats a pile of s*** its more important to keep it running than fixing your project/future daily driver.

yeah man theyre great, thanks again. im trying to find a way to get that fender roller to you. i dont have a reliable car to drive out there, the sr is still acting up under boost. i guess tomorrow ill see how much it would cost to ship it to you, really my only option right now unfortunetly.

Guys, spread the word. TDC is now an SCT authorized dealer/tuner. This is brings us one step closer in being a one stop tuning shop as we already tune [S300, K-Pro, Flashpro, Crome, AEM EMS, PowerFC with Datalogit , Nistune, Utec, SAFC, VAFC, NEO, AEM F/IC]. The tuning section of the TDC website will be updated by the end of the week to reflect the changes. Wish us luck and thank you for representing at our Open House.

anybody know where there is a cheap running 240 for sale or maybe a cheap shell? i got a buddy that moved here from Guam so his money is a little tight right now but hes looking for a 240, when he lived in Guam he had 240's and RX-7's so this guy knows what hes getting himself into.

hey guys, wow i didnt realize there were so many ppl from sc on here lol. Anyways im kinda new here (been skowering and serching on here for a car for a while) and i figured id say hey and post up. Um a little info on me i guess... my name is Greg, im 17, i just bought my first 240sx (90 sohc) for 500 bucks about a week ago, i live right between anderson and greenville in a little town called williamston, im TERRIBLE with directions, and im a noob. so thats me and this is my car: its got a little rear end damage... but it can be fixed the interior is in pretty good shape only 1 crack in the dash, and 114,XXX miles all she NEEDS is new motor mounts, an altenator, rear main seal, and a fuel filter.
