i think your car needs something less "old school", mesh wheels look decent on some 240s, but those only come in 15x7?? and cost 800 bucks??? and the other ones, those belong on ae86's etc.

Wow. I have gone not even 120 miles on half a tank of gas. This is really starting to piss me off. I need to figure out what it is.

I'm going to have to agree with Jordan on those wheels. The classic looking ones would have done really well on the black car. Or a pignose car. It would be nice to find something like those rotas for my car, I'm just waiting til I can afford to even look at anything, and then I'll probably sell the ones on my car but that will be a while. I'm still open to suggestions though.

Pat check your fuel rail. Did you ever get a maf?
Black on Gold wrote:Yea. Like i said it was just an idea. Most the time its much cheaper to just use OE parts from other cars then getting aftermarket (i.e Z32 Brakes vs. Wilwood or Rotora, etc)

Well im off to work again. Back in a few hours.
I tend to guess that parts off of a rare car like a z32 TT would be expensive, but I have no experience there.

on that picture he posted it was leaking all over the cover to the fuel pump. i figured its gotta be the hose since it is leaking right there. shouldnt be too hard to find.

Pat i got the carbon fiber hood all lined up now and i had to make some adjustments to the hood latch on the car to get it to lock via bending it about 1/16 of an inch toward the radiator by tapping it with a hammer. hope you had a safe trip back to rock hill. double check the hood you got off my car to make sure it is still tight and lined up right.

James, i'll take a look at the fuel rail on Wednesday on my day off. Tomorrow im working an 11 hour shift so wont have the time. I'll be having to fix the car to running properly before i think about wheels too or anything for that matter.

Jordan, i already fixed the Fuel Pump issue. Doesnt leak anymore or smell like gas in the cabin. However, it is still getting bad gas mileage. From My House to Greggs and back i went 145miles on 1/4 tank of gas.

Does anyone think it could be the MAF?

I honestly see alot of potential in the car. Just need to get it running first, get new fenders and maybe a bumper and it'll look good. If need be i'd come down and help ya with it.

Gregg, take some pics, man.

Pat, you must still have a fuel leak somewhere, or a vacuum leak or something. I wish I could come up with some more things to look at, I'm really reaching hard here though

yeah James i need to take some pics of it because all i have are pics from when i got the car and in those pics it had flat tires up front on some sweet old 300zx wheels. now i have my 17" excell's on it and the cf hood from Pat and its looking sweet. now i just need a new radiator so i can put her back on the road. with it being an automatic im thinking about just buying another stock radiator for cheap and buy a koyo when i swap it and convert it to a 5 speed, or i might just let it sit untill i convert it and swap it.

145 miles on a half a tank right? it should be quite noticible if you are leaking gas from your injectors. on my buddys single cam you could see a puddle of gas under the injector. is your car smoking at all??

Idk when the next meet is going to be, but whenever it happens it needs to involve a mountain. And everyone driving on that mountain. It would be fun I think. Caesar's Head is a good one.

The bumper is not technically 'on' the car, but it is sitting on the car where it's supposed to be. We need to have a work day on that car again.

Maybe some of the ****tyness will buff out.

Does anyone know where I can find some S15 Tail Lights. I would liked for them to be smoked, but it doesn't really matter. I can't even find a site that sells them.

EDIT: I found some on Ebay for $167.00.

A guy in atlanta that I bought some parts from says he can sell manual driveshafts like candy all day long for $150. hmm.. I wonder what a one piece lightweight aftermarket one costs... might be something for you to look into.

yeah project phoenix is kind of fitting since it looks like a dead bird that got caught in some powerlines and fried, and then partially decomposed. All that's missing is the flies and the occasional vulture swooping down. But that's the fun part about this project. It's going to be so cool to watch it evolve. If anyone asks why we didn't part it out, its because there was nothing there of value, so the only direction we could go with it was to fix it.

Yea it is smoking. Its smoking black. I think its the MAF but there could also be another thing involved.

James, John told me to let you know to send him an email with the shipping address for the hubs.
