Here's Brandon's coupe. We dropped a motor on the mounts in it today. Brandon holler at me when you get a chance and I'll get you all the photos. Pat the seats are available when you want them, I suppose next time I go to Turstin's or Brandon's I can drop them off and you can pick them up from them, or we can just wait till the next meet.

nah, I let Turstin keep them in return for some labor and a set of fenders I didn't end up using. Aint the coupe pretty? Actually, do you live far from dalzell240? Maybe you could just do those seats and I'll pay you for them.

I see. I'll have to get up with him. Trying to see if i can get those back for something. I dont mind too much for the rims that are on the car right now. I've just always loved the S12's. I live about an hour from him.

Hmmm...., I'm not sure if I want to let them go. I don't have any use for them since my hatch is dead and the car I'm getting to replace it is 5 lug, but they just looked to good on the hatch for me not to hang on to them.(incase I eventualy get another charcoal hatch)

James, you can post the post ditch pics if you want.

ok, I'll post them sometime. btw, first chance i get to come to SC, I'll bring you some cash for that car. I need to rob a few things off of it for my black one, and then eventually I'll be back to put everything from it in the white one so I can get it running!

Brandon's will be going eventually too. We put the motor in, just on its mounts not much else, but its a start.

If you or anybody else has some transmission mount bolts, a manual driveshaft, some bolts to hold the metal c shaped pieces that go between the mounts and the engine, and some nuts for the engine mounts please let me know.

My dad drove the car to work today(sense i can't drive, im only 14), and it ran good, but the upper radiator hose clamp fell apart and coolant spewed all over, and its also runnin fairly hot so were gonna change the thermostat. also we need to know how to tell if both fans are workin for the motor, if anyone can tell me how.

as far as the seats we probably let em go for 40, cause if you(maxima278) dont get em there goin to the dump. have to talk to my dad and see cause he kinda runs the lettin parts go

you want that stuff for an s13 right, cause if it for an s14 i got most of that

the clutch fan should always be working and the other fan should be just for when you turn the a/c on right?

the clutch fan is the one bolted on the pulley right, and the other fan is the electric fan

Yes.

The clutch fan turns as long as the motor is running(unless there is something seriously wrong), and the electric fan runs when the ac is on or if the temp goes to high.

useless extra info: the s14 has a 2 speed fan (just like the altima fans) and will go to the high speed if the temp gets to high with the ac on or if the temp gets to high and the fan is already running on the low speed.

define fairly hot. If it's not overheating completely, it could just be air in the coolant lines, you have to run it and keep adding fluid to it as it cycles through the motor. Otherwise it will run fairly hot. thermostat is not a bad idea though since it is a 2.00 part. You'll actually be fine without it.
dalzell240 wrote:you want that stuff for an s13 right, cause if it for an s14 i got most of that
it should all be the same. I'll take as much of it as you got, let me know what you want and me or Brandon will paypal you for it and I was hoping you could mail it to me. Did you actually have the manual driveshaft? I was wondering how you had an extra one... Somebody may have to pick that up. I want the seats, just don't know how I'll come get them.

Anyone got some 4-lugger's they'd like to trade for these not so great ones on my 240? Looking for either stock SE's, Kouki Base Models or the S12's like i used to have. If anyone knows someone trying to get rid of any type 4-luggers, let me know.

Dalzell240,You need to bleed the air out of the cooling system. There is a bolt on the top where the top radiator hose meets the engine. Unscrew the bolt and put a towel around it (just a few turns). Let the engine run for a few minutes (shouldn't take more than 5 mins to hit temp - usually less). Voila' you have yellow pee in a towel. Let it dribble out for a few minutes and tighten the screw. If the temp spikes again, you may have to repeat this again. These engines will almost always run hot if air gets trapped in system. I will post pics later of the bolt...should be a 10mm if I remember correctly... then again most of the car is put together with 10mm bolts... lol.. Hope this helps..

I'll trade you straight up, se wheels for those. they may technically be worth more, but I don't like them much either, just going to put them on the black car to sell it.

Here's an updated pic of Brandon's car: He kind of named it, project phoenix. Kind of fitting considering that at times it looks like a dead bird huh?

Why don't you try to sell them for more first? Aren't they 18s? Seems like you could get something for them. If not I'll take em.
