Need some Amber Signals? I got a pair if you need them. Either that or you can have my Clear ones.

we go transmission mount bolts(if its the same off an automatic), the bolts to hold the metal c shaped pieces that go between the mounts and the engine and motor mount nut, but not the driveshaft

is that the one that is straight up and just beside the hose, says "don't open when hot"
GoinTopless240 wrote:Dalzell240,You need to bleed the air out of the cooling system. There is a bolt on the top where the top radiator hose meets the engine. Unscrew the bolt and put a towel around it (just a few turns). Let the engine run for a few minutes (shouldn't take more than 5 mins to hit temp - usually less). Voila' you have yellow pee in a towel. Let it dribble out for a few minutes and tighten the screw. If the temp spikes again, you may have to repeat this again. These engines will almost always run hot if air gets trapped in system. I will post pics later of the bolt...should be a 10mm if I remember correctly... then again most of the car is put together with 10mm bolts... lol.. Hope this helps..

Actually, there was an extra set of amber ones in the car you sold me. I may be interested in the clear ones though...

no problem man! I'm actually excited about this project since the car is such a butt crack of a car, I can't wait to see it transform back into something good. I think it will amaze everyone, including my neighbors.

I don't guess there's a huge hurry on the nuts and bolts, but we do need them as soon as you make a decision.

About the red car, it really depends on the price. I'm a little low on funds, but I could probably jump on a steal of a deal if it comes my way. Just send me an email or somethin.

it probably depends on your decision as far as the red car because of the condition, the trunk area is pushed in alittle and the trunk doesnt close right, no dash, and most of the interior panels are there but some are missing clips, some are kinda broke, driveline is all still there,

if you cant find the money to buy the red car,(prolly a couple hundred) then ill see about gettin that stuff out to u

Did you guys say your are doing a auto to manual swap? I have to do the same thing here... I guess you guys know about the driveshaft difference, but the cross member is different from auto to manual also. I would think with all the donor cars you guys have that it shouldn't be an issue... good luck ... i'll be feeling your pain in a month or so...

Well, they're not going anywhere so whenever ya need them i got'em. As far as the project, it would be awsome if one weekend we could all get together and work on our cars or one car in particular. Then have a cookout and what not.

If that's all you want for it then consider it sold! I'm a little overloaded at the moment but maybe I can cover it up and tuck it away somewhere for a while til I have the money to throw into it. I still want to settle on an S13 to actually keep for a drift car, but my plans for it have snowballed into another kickass car, but I really would like to eventually get a hold of one I can beat the snot out of on the track and not worry about getting body damage. Maybe you could throw in your old dash. I could come up with something to cover up the large gaping hole on the passenger side. Plus there's always room for more 240s right? Let me know what you decide.

PAT- yeah I agree those wheels aren't doing your car good at all. With the color your car is, it will not be complete until you get some decent wheels on it. Either a solid bronze with a lip, or some of those light gold five-spokes with the polished lip. You could just look around at some WRX's that color and see what they're running. I'd also drop down to a 17 inch, I think the 18 is a little overpowering for the S13 chassis a lot of times. About the whole cookout/work on car thing, Turstin is the man to talk to, he has the perfect spot for it.

John-are you talking about Brandon's project? Not necessarily a 5 speed swap since the car was already a factory 5 speed, but it's pretty much a former parts car, so it had nothing. We have the right stuff, (except driveshaft), just no bolts to bolt it all down, and who knows what else we'll find that we need along the way. If you've got like $500 to drop, there's a guy in Gainesville GA who usually has complete 5 speed swaps to sell. btw are we still on for sunday? Where were you wanting to meet up?

Thats my exact thoughts. 18's are not my style and they look really big on a S13. Especially without a body kit on it. 17's with a good set of tires is exactly what im looking for. I'd hope (by the end of the summer) be up to 5zigen FN01's in Bronze and a Zenki lip painted to match the car. For now i just want something that looks clean yet doesnt burn a hole in my pocket.

GNvarnadore- those are decent looking rims, especially compared to Pat's.

here's what I'm trying to get put on my car. I've just got the front ones mounted and balanced, and I don't have hub-centric spacers and don't even know where to get them. I'm waiting on tires for the rear. They are hyper silver, but look gray in the pic because of lighting. I just threw one on the left front to see if it cleared. See 18s work on an S14. I think I need to space them out a bit, and need to get on the ball and get rid of the smic for a fmic so I can make right turns again.

I think you need to space those fronts out a bit.. look like broad shoulders on a chick.. need a bit more squat.. maybe 10mm spacers.. tires look a bit stretched.. what size rim is that?.. 8 or 8.5?.. with a 225?.. just a guess.. not staggered rims are they?

John, Pat- emails returned! This old guy needs sleep too.

Rims are staggered. You're looking at an 8.5 inch wide wheel, the rears are 9.5 inches. You really think I need spacers that big? (10mm). I definitely agree about pushing them out some more, just might need some advice to get them where they need to be.
