well, I bought some Gunk Engine Flush today, the bottle says to put it where the oil goes, run for like 5 minutes (I ran it for more like 20), then do an oil change. I did all that, then drove the car down the road and by the time I got back she was running on 4 cylinders again. Still makes some valve rattling noises at like 3000 rpm, but runs stronger than ever.

But I don't know what that changes, I still don't want a sohc KA. So I might still let it go if another deal comes along.

James I'm tempted to say get it while the getting is good. But then if you do sell it you might have some problems looking for your next 240.

I guess the question is. Can you make enough off your car right now as it sets to make up for possible difficulties later getting another one?

Hey topless thanks for the insight. U-joints aren't that bad to replace, just a little messy if the driveshaft comes out of the transmission before you can plug the hole...lol. I'll look into it a little more next week when I get back from NYC.

Yeah, I've thought all that over. I'm waiting for everything to fall into place with the replacement car and all the parts before I make a decision. If everything works out then I'll go ahead and put the car on craigslist and it should sell quick. If it doesn't, then maybe I'll just take this car and put it on a frame machine or something.

I just feel like I may be over my head with trying to fix this car.

I looked at the pics but the body damage and the repaint to a different color turn me away from it.

don't worry, you'll be behind the wheel of a turbo'd 240 soon enough and for less money, plus you'll have both cars.

does your parts car have a clean title on it? And is most of the interior there? I may be interested in buying what's left after you have taken what you need. If not the whole car then at least the seats if they are there. I've been looking for a pair of S14 seats for my S13, I may not care if they are rough.
