no, he decided it was too rough. But honestly there really is nothing out there for sale right now especially if you're really wanting a 5 speed.

but in the meantime, it looks like you have a good foundation with a lot of potential. When you get ready to start piecing it together post lists of things you need in here because I parted out a 95 S14 about 2 years ago and have a bunch of nick nacky crap laying around, plus several guys in here have more than one 240 and a bunch of random crap laying around too.

Some of the crap I have I'd give away.

Brandon your car looks GR8! Honestly I like it either way black or silver. I know you may think it's ricey but if you do the black treatment, why not go with black housing tails as well?

Well everyone, I got my first dashboard crack recently, its located in the upper defroster vents.

Well James, maybe he's moving up to the Infiniti world like you or perhaps something similar......I'm intrigued as well. I look forward to the day I can get my "M"mmmmmm. One thing at a time though, I gotta get a house first so I can have a garage to park it in I finally got some tires for the 240 everyone! I just couldn't take it anymore; shake, rattle, and rolling all the way down the road everywhere I went was a really crappy experience. There's a place called Cheap Chuck's Tires where I got 2 used tires for $64 mounted and balanced. I'm also trying to see if they'll give me a part time job on the weekends or something. The guy said that he may be looking for someone soon so hopefully he will call me back, I'll follow up mid-week or so. I also spoke to the service manager at Firestone and that seems promising as well.Let me ask you all's opinion on something. Lately I've been hearing a thumping noise coming from the rear of the car, but I only hear it when I'm in neutral and rolling at speeds of 20mph and below. I have a feeling the noise is coming from the differential as a sign of servicing and I don't have lsd. Any ideas? I'm gonna be replacing my valve cover gasket this weekend most likely. I'm still getting a lot of skipping and sputtering upon acceleration and it may be due to the valve cover leaking the metered air. I figured that if I'm gonna adjust the valve cover, I may as well take it off, replace the gasket, and torque to specs while I'm at it. Anyone thinking of going to the Z car/Nissan/Infiniti meeting in Charlotte on 2/25?? I'm thinking of going since I missed our meeting a few weeks ago and now that I've got my tires situated, albeit I'm contemplating putting some 215's on the back and moving the new 205's to the front.

i posted pics when i moved down to NC and you guys hammered me for the 18" focals on it , but other than that the cars in good shape.

well i know what i want, and what i will get are two very different numbers

i would like to get somewhere around $3000 for it, but i know what i will take.

hammered? Well, they do look better now that you painted them black. Honestly though, yours is the cleanest S13 I've seen in a long time, (the last one I saw that came close was destroyed the same night I saw it right before my eyes) so whether I like the color or not, I love it. From these current pics though, I do like the color especially with the black wheels.

What all do you have done to the motor and suspension and interior?

Well, looks like the sohc in my silver S13 is crap. I just cranked it after letting it sit for about 2 weeks and it was running on 3 cylinders so I checked the spark plug and it was ok, so I'm thinking the cylinder's lost compression. It looked like the spark plug wire was working because it did try to spark when I held it close to the plug.

Oh well. I was looking for an excuse to change over to a dohc motor anyway. Anybody got one?

Hey Gr8bryt,Is it a thump or more of a clunk? It may just be a U-joint or if you have a two piece driveshaft (most of the s-13 did.. not sure about the s-14) the carrier assembly may be loose. Just a thought. A rear diff would probably make a whole lot more noise and would raise hell when changing direction (ie reverse to moving forward). You might also check the joints on the rear axles for slop. Hope it helps.

no pat, he didn't get it. It has a good motor but according to him everything else sucked.

He bought another one tonight instead. A 90 hatch with a motor running on 3 cylinders, but otherwise nice, for $1000. Plans to do an RB20 swap.

hey pat, just make sure you get one that's already 5 speed, and dohc. you do not want to mess with a sohc! trust me...

you guys think I should sell this? I just found out it's only running on 3 cylinders and I'm sick of it. Wonder if I could get like 8 or 900 bucks for it?

looks to be a really nice car. Too bad my cousin just bought one. I am thinking of selling my S13, but want to buy another one immediately afterwards.

Dalzell, I looked at the thread and damn, you hit the mother load there! I don't know how much you're into the 240 thing, but you should know that those taillights alone would bring at least $300!!! But I think you should put them on your car because they'd look sweet! My old S14 parts car was way worse off than that one and I made money off of it, so I know you can make good on that one. Is it 5 lug?

edit* as far as the radiator goes, just use some money you get from parting it out to get a koyo radiator

I don't see any reason not to sell your s13 hatch. You should be able to get that out of it.

I'd be tempted to fix the black one you have and drive it though.

that may be an option, but I have other plans in mind. If those don't work out then I'll have to come up with something else. I do think I'm done with the silver one though

I got a quick brake question for ya guys. My girlfriends car has a brake issue that has been going on for awhile. Its Ford Taurus (go figure) She just had the brake lines changed and she says that the brake pedal felt good the day after but now its loose again. I said it maybe the bleeding of the brakes but she says that they did that already. You guys have any other suggestions as to what it is? That way i could possibly fix it for them in the driveway instead of them paying a $200 mechanic bill

It doesn't take much time or effort to bleed the brakes I'd try that first. When they blead the brakes last time they might not have topped it off in the reservour and it got some air in the lines again.

I don't know if that is the case but it is worth looking at.
