The wheels are supposed to get delivered today. They may not want to leave them on my front stoop though depending on what Subydude.com wanted with their shipping so I might have to go pick them up tonight. The springs however are another matter.I put off ordering the springs because I was a little concerned about making it through the month. And it looks like I will be able to make it through the month but be about 20$ short on the money for the springs. So the earliest I can do anything there is the 31st. I wants my shiny new wheels on...

My wheels came in today. I ran home after lunch to stuff them inside before the neighbors started stairing too much. They look like what I expected to see and I can't wait to get them on the car.

Guiedo, I'm still interested in the one with the bov, unless the one without is nicer, then I'll just get it and save for a good bov. I do want the safc badly, but I cant get it right now, so keep that in mind but do what you have to do. I really didn't have the money to buy Pat's car, but I think that will work itself out in the end.

Pat, I will definitely find you a car, name a price and it's done. Just hold onto every penny you can until you get the money from your swiss bank account because the amount you told me you were getting may make it a bit difficult, but that plus the money I paid you for the hatch plus whatever you can save will make the search easier.

Brandon, congrats on the new wheels man! You feeling better yet?

Brandon and Turstin, I think we may be able to work out some trades for some stuff we all need for our cars without much money changing hands, so I'll be calling both of you.

that's good to hear, just hold onto that money. I did find several for just under 3k, but they were all automatics, most of them base models. Your choice, just get the best one you can get at the time, or we can watch craigslist and autotrader like a hawk and then pounce on the first 5 speed SE that comes along for however much you have saved up. But normally you have to move FAST when those come along.

Yea, i know what you mean. I drove by a dealer a few weeks ago and then i saw a S14 but when i looked, i saw something shinning between the bumper. Sure enough, i stop (they were closed) nice FMIC, Tinted windows, Auto. I came back the next day to test it and it was gone. Guy said he let it go for 2500

ohh iguess i should have said what its doing. when i start it, it will turn right off unless i rev it and hold it at about 1000 rpms for a few sec's then let off of it and then it idles at about 600 to 700 rpms. its a automatic and when i drive it some times it takes off slow and sometimes it takes off fast. its very mildly modded it has cone air filter, muffler, and ngk plugs and wires. i notice that over 3000 rpms is when the car starts to put down some power to the tires. other stuff it has is a carbon fiber automatic shifter, pedals, and 17" rims.

I don't have a good answer for you, except do some basic maintenance. You already changed your spark plugs, I'm sure your oil changes are up to date, but you could try some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank, or just taking your injectors out and cleaning them, also change the fuel filter, it is probably clogged on a car that old.

Then, check for vaccuum leaks, especially that hose about the thickness of your finger that goes into the valve cover, those split over time.

I'm sure others can add to that...

Oh yeah and welcome to NICO

so Jordan how are my motors running? you know, It would get really complicated if we all sat down and tried to map how much dna our cars all share. Where you been man?

Just to catch you up, I still have my S14 with the SR (updated with kouki tails and S15 steering wheel), but I also have an 89 hatch that previously was wrecked that I bought for $500 and I also now have Pat's old car, the black 91, which I have barely laid eyes on because I picked it up in the rain and it's sitting at Turstin's shop (where Guiedo is circling it like a starved velociraptor)

btw, that front lip is definitely worth whatever it might have cost! Are those S14 SE rims or what?

i wish i had those wheels, that would mean i had the 5 lug conv and unfortunetly i dont. but i have some jdm enkei rp01's in black with a blue lip 16x7 and 16x8.

anyways, my car was running awesome until i pulled the motor out the last time to fix a leak in the oil pan, new clutch, s13 cams and some other little things. now it idles funny and my transmission grinds every gear unless i shift super slow. but my brothers car runs AWESOME. i kinda wanna steal that motorset from him. thanks for the motors btw

hows the sr doin? you happy with the improvement?

no luck on finding an s14 pat? theres a guy here selling an s14 with an sr for retarded cheap that im trying to buy.

They look like SE's in the pic, but I didn't think you'd gotten a 5 lug conversion done, of course your car also looks silver in the pic, a really nice shade of silver I'd like to paint my S13 in fact. But I know your car is not silver.

yeah your brother's motor is definitely a good KA, I wish they had been reversed because I know you waited a long time to get your car running.

The Sr is running great except I really need to start running an o2 sensor in it at some point because it backfires a little. But it pulls like a freight train and it's only stock! I can't wait to start modding it.

Heeeeelllllooo everyone, I'mm back! Sorry to be away so long, school started for me recently and I've been working like a dog otherwise. Then there's the usual stuff with home life. I see that I've missed a lot, but I also tried to read to catch up on things a little. Welcome to all the new folks, and welcome back Jordan! scs13 your car looks sooooo sweet man. My car was broken down for a minute, but now it's running again. I had a sleepy eye set up, but I've temporarily disabled them cause I had a bad ground somewhere. I also ordered one of twin action cupholder/freebox off ebay. When it comes in, I'm gonna hook up my radio, foglights, and install the cupholder all at once. It looks like we're trying to have a meeting in Charlotte on 2/3 and I believe there's a link on page 94. I'm coordinating w/ my wife right now to let me go..lol Outside of that, I think you're pretty caught up.

I got my new wheels out today and put them on just to see if there are going to be any clearance problems or anything. It looks like I'm good on that end but its going to be aggressive looking! I'm so excited I can't wait. And since I've got the great opprotunity i'm going to go ahead and put a good coat of wheel wax on them.

I may down the road want to get a 5mm spacer for the rear but the front is pushed out as far as I believe I'm going to be able to push it without fender modification.

/me jumps around and checks bank account to see if the wheel fairy put any money in there overnight.... Nope Oh well.

No not yet. I went by Discount Tire to see what it would cost me to get it done and they told me $134.00. They told me that it was because they didn't sell me the wheels and tires that they were going to have to charge me more than if I"d bought though them, also that the 18 inch wheel is so large.

Thats just not acceptable so I'm going to be on the phone monday morning trying to find some place that won't try and overcharge for such a simple operation.
