Hey Redemption,What sizes are you talking about?... If it's not too crazy and you don't mind the drive to Charleston ... I could help you out.... I would also fill them with Nitrogen (it's what we fill with).. I'm a newbie to the SE board, but usually chat on the Vert board. I've been in the tire business for a good number of years... We don't have the equiptment to do any "crazy" stretches, but can mount most anything, including runflats. Let me know. Just a newbie trying to help a fellow NICOian out.

Pat, here's something I know you'll be interested in:

just popped up on craigslist. If the link doesn't work, just look on Craigslist Atlanta and you'll find it.

Welcome to the SE section then!

I appreciate the offer and I know I'll need more help as time goes by. But I think that might be a little bit too far for me to drive right now.

The spec sheet on my tires says that it should work. Its toyo t1r's 245/40/18 f and 274/40/18 r on 18x9.5 wheels all the way around. So it shouldn't be anything crazy.

here is a preview of what mine will look like only in redline of course.

I'm sooooo excited.

No problem.. I run a Tire Shop (Costco) in Charleston. We have all touchless mounting equiptment and sonar balancers, so if you ever need some help .. let me know...

What kind of rims are those?.. they look like Bee*R racing.. they look just like the ones I'm looking at (or some JIC Magic ) or these..

I'm thinking of going black on Vert and Tan/Camel top.. will probably go with gold color... we'll see..

If you did get Bee*R ... where from Rare Trick?.. I'm curious about approx how much you paid for em...

Good to see some local folks on here..

Actually they are rota's. They aren't as light weight as Bee*R or JIC but they are still lighter than stock and decent quality.

I would love it if you were here in Greenville but I've seen some of the women down in Charleston. I can't blame you.

Well.... Costco IS coming to Greenville.. I just won't be ..lol.. you're right Charleston does have some hotties... half the reason the we came here.. well that.. the ocean.. former low cost of living (we need another Hugo to hit and lower it again..jk).. I do like the look of those rims .. great..looks like another to chose from...aaarrggghh.. I may end up doing 17" tho.. the roads here are crap... The local government hasn't figured out how to build a road on a swamp..I may be up for the opening of the Greenville Costco tho.. I usually try to attend openings that are close by.. If I know the Tire Center Manager there, I'll try to see if he can hook you up..

I installed my S15 steering wheel yesterday on the S14, it was surprisingly easy. Looks damn good too.

Also went to Anderson and tinkered with my black 91 S13 a little, managed to get it running a little better, then we proceeded to cut donuts till one of us bent the left rear lower control arm! It was awesome, I didn't know an automatic S13 could be so much fun. The guy that did it said he'd replace it for me though. Yall should have seen how far under the car that wheel was, it looked funny as heck!

And I also bought a Ford Expedition too by the way.

Anybody want to buy a 94 Pathfinder?

lol James that sounds like fun! If your not breaking stuff then your not driving hard enough.... Well that saying has its limits of course but still sounds like fun :p.

The Rota's only come in 18s like that. They were 900 bucks though so that made my decision for me. You might have a connection to get them cheaper though.

Howdy all, it's good to be back. There may still be gaps between posts for me cause I really need to focus more on class and stop bs-ing around. I'm really behind in reaching some personal goals and I've been kicking myself to get back up and push forward. I was really looking forward to making it to the meet this weekend, but since my rear tires are totally wasted there's no way I can imagine going outta town anywhere. The ride around town is bad enough; anything above 55 mph and the car shakes like its about to come apart. Chris said he had some for me from his old s13, but I guess that fell through.

Hey Topless, welcome to the set. We always enjoy having more participation on the local front. Is Costco coming to Columbia by chance as well? I know Wal-Mart is building another store right across from where I work, maybe they're gearing up for some competition..lol. I wish I had a connection like you here in the metro, that would be sweet. You would be an ideal connection for me notwithstanding the distance between us.

Brandon, those wheels look soo freakin sweet man, almost LM GT-4 but with a MUCH more aggressive look. CONGRATS!!

Thanks James

I've been busy lately with work and on Friday my grandfather passed away. A little less then 10 months after my grandmother. My mom left Saturday so i've been at my moms taking care of the animals. Im leaving here in about 3 hours or so and flying to Munich then to Zurich so i'll be back around Tuesday. The only good part about this trip is i'll be getting my money out of my Swiss Bank. I'll talk to you crazy bastards later lol

O.K... now I'm confused.. is everyone meeting on Saturday or Sunday? We were thinking of going Saturday, but I have a tire sale going on and can't take Saturday off (Sunday is last day ... thankfully). I'm off Sunday. I might be able to convince the family to make the outing, but the kicker is I won't be taking the 240. I have the infamous valve train tick (I've narrowed it down to the tensioner or poor oil pressure (tensioner uses oil pressure to engage)). We'd be driving the American iron then (hoping not to get flamed). Until I do the swap.. I don't feel comfortable doing long trips in the 240. Let us know.

Hey Gr8bryt.. what size rims and tires you running? are you running 4 bolt or 5 bolt pattern?.. I have a spare set of rims and tires if you're running 5 bolt (although running 225/45r17 on them.. might be a bit tall if you are lowered). I could always look for some decent take offs also.. just let me know...

As far as Costco... hmmm Columbia was looked at, but it's still pretty far down the list.. sorry.. I think Greenville is possibly this summer, but not real sure of dates. I think they may do a second one in the Charleston area first, before Columbia. Although after 15 years with this company, I've seen them change their direction at a moments notice... We typically open 20 to 30 stores a year globally (US market sees most of that tho) and are not real big on the whole Wally world mentally of saturating a market. More locations aren't always a good thing. Common Sense way of doing business for them.

Email sent. I live off St. Andrews Rd. I'm supposed to be working on Saturday (I just found out), so I'll have to play it by ear before I can commit to the trip. How long is everyone planning on sticking around?

I'm currently running the stock tear drop 15" wheels (4 bolt) with 205/60/15 tires (or at least whats left of them). I have been exploring a 5-lug conversion and lately the idea has been tempting me to perhaps start gathering parts. I'm not lowered so if I could fit those wheels, it would be more like the 4x4 look I think...lol. If you have a hook up on something, I'm game, at this point I'd even be ok with some steelies as long as there was some decent rubber on them. My car shakes like its about to fall apart, not to mention I need an alignment now.

Are your rims bent? If not I'll keep an eye out for some take offs at the shop. My wife might get pissed with me bringing yet another set of tires home (I have one set of Hoosier 17" and the other 17" off our old car, plus on drag tire that I'm gonna turn into a rolling seat). I'm sure I can come up with something in that size. If I ever get around to doing my 5 lug conversion, I'll have my 15" w/225/50r15 looking for a good home. I'll keep you posted on what I find around the shop.
