we (me, my wife and my freinds in the upstate) have a small club called realtunerz(kinda cheezy name but the sticker is cool looking) and we have a website we r building right now. we have just about all 240s there is 1 srt4 thats fast as hell and my wifes is300 which is getting turboed soon and a altima ser that makes like 350 whp then theres my sr powered s13 coupe my wife is getting a second car a s13 hatch, my freinds s13 hatch with built suspension(all of it) and we are putting a secret swap in that car this summer, a s14 thats trading hands to our new member and the guy selling it is looking for a s13 convertable, we r taking a ka out of randys wrecked s13 and putting it in a new shell(that he got from pat), and ther a few mo 240s running around that might be allowed in if they dont ricem out so right now there r 6 240s in our club

motorset: $1900shipping:$300wiring harness (S13 SR into S14, done by tophat): $300maf and maf piping with air filter: $60

Not to mention a bunch of miscellaneous trips to advance and autozone, but that's just nickle and dime stuff. I sort of had to rig a hot pipe with plumbing pieces from home depot, connect all the vacuum lines, you never know, but it's not that bad once you get into it.

you asked about getting it running, plus I forgot about that other stuff. Most motorsets come with the stock sidemount intercooler which is adequate to get you on the road (replacement is in my future plans). You can use the KA radiator with an adaptor hose they sell for like $30 at XAT, or enjuku. I bought one, but then decided to go ahead and get a Koyo, which I got for $300 from injected performance. The exhaust I also got from injected performance but I already had that before I did the swap. It's an invidia stainless steel 3 inch catback and comes with an optional silencer. I found the silencer to be a good thing with the KA, but not necessary on the SR. It sounds awesome without it. I think I paid $350??. My motorset came with the stock downpipe, which actually works with the stock catalytic converter. Between the downpipe and the turbo, there is another pipe called the turbo elbo, I bought a new stainless one of those made by megan racing for like $130(?) The stock one is made of cast iron and has an extra hose going into it that is not needed (aiv?) I found this to be in the way of the steering column. You can get it welded shut, but I reccomend a new one since it is lighter, flows better, and is a lot harder to change out when the motor is already in. I bought a walbro 255 lph fuel pump for like $85 from injected performance but I have yet to install it. I think it takes a special kit to make it work.

why don't you buy brandon's 18 inch 350Z wheels? I think they may have 2 good tires on them and the other two are pretty far gone.

Pat, future plans which will probably open up a lot of power in this motor, include -fmic-blowoff valve-3 inch downpipe-boost controller

then after that:-z32 maf-some sort of safc for controlling air/fuel mixture. I just don't have a clue about that kind of thing at the moment, don't even know what safc stands for, so I've kind of been shying away from that at the moment.

I want 450 for the wheels and the two rear tires are still pretty good. I'd like to keep the TPS sensors I don't think you'd need them anyway and I'll put in a regular valve stem.

Of course I'd be willing to work out something maybe a trade for 240 parts or something. Just let me know what moves ya.

You came down to Columbia, you shouldn't let a little thing like lack of transpo stop you from kicking it with some cool folks and having a good time.

SuperAirFlowConverter/Controller

You've got the basic idea James, they're used for fine tuning your air/fuel ratio primarily. You can also use it to adjust throttle position and rpm specific injector pulses. The newer digital ones give you some added bling and a few more tuning parameters I believe, but the older analog one should do the trick just fine albeit you may wanna have someone help you install it if your not comfortable splicing into your engine harness. Apexi has a pretty decent download on their website plus they offer phone support I believe. Of course they're on the west coast and I'm not sure if they're open on weekends so it may be difficult coordinating your time to actually talk to someone if you get in a bind. http://www.apexi-usa.com/
