Today me, my wife and my daughter decided to blow off everything and pile into the 240 to go blast through the mountains of north georgia. Of course this was a relatively mild run since I had my 19 month old daughter and 8 month pregnant wife in the car, but we had a lot of fun anyway. We started in Dahlonega and headed north on 60 towards Suches, then after Suches there was no one on the road so we could go as fast as we wanted on some nice curvy roads. Probably one of the most beautiful days we've had all year too. I love going up there because it's pretty much what I built that car for!

On the way back we came down from Blairsville and caught up with a Miata that had CoolCatRacing.com's logos on it along with formulaD stickers, plus a rollbar and a wicked stiff suspension. It was painted green with orange graphics on it and it was loud too. I hung with it ok, but if the traffic had been a little better he probably would have ran off and left me.

That sounds like tons of fun man. All the time we obsess over our cars for just a little while of fun seems weird to some people but its those days that we go driving like that that make it all worth it!

And I agree this is a damn fine time to go into the mountains.

/me continues his search for funds for new wheels.

Haha. I know how you feel James. I was driving my girlfriends Lexus yesterday. I had to go home and change because it was getting a bit chilly and all the leaves were in the road and when i drove by they'd blow and the trees were red and brown and it was truly beautiful. I hope to have a weekend cruiser one day.

Don't worry, your day is coming soon. I'm glad that you haven't totally given up on 240's; they're really GR8 cars and a lot of fun too. We'll see you in one again sooner or later lol.

Thats really cool to be able to have a wife that is supporting of your car fettish. I kinda envy you and Chris a little bit for that. I'm trying to convert her, but progress is slow. Maybe once I get into my mods more, she will be more inclined to participate.

Yea. I REALLY want another Zenki. I told myself for the rest of my life, no matter what im always going to have a 240. A few kids at school kepts asking me why 240 owners arent happy with 1 240 or why the like them so much and i told them.."you just wouldnt understand"

Once i have found a girl that i'd like to stay with i hope to teach her a bit about cars and 240's a bit. Once my sister is old enough to drive im going to see about getting her into a 240 =)

Thoes pictures came out good.

I had a pretty busy weekend, Guiedo and I finaly got his motor most of the way back together. All that's left is to torque down the cam sprocket bolts, put on the oil pan, valve cover, manifold and turbo, accesories, and then the motor will be ready to go in the car. Now we just have to get the car ready to recieve the motor, so it will most likly be another 2- 3 weeks before we are ready to turn the key since just about the only time we can work on it is the weekends.

, Those are some really adorable pics, good resolution in them too. Sup everyone, been kinda busy lately with a lot of stuff. I moved into another dept. @ work and I haven't gotten settled in quite yet to use the pc. My evenings have been consumed w/ various activities and I've been tired as hell. Hey Black on Gold, theres an s14 for sale here in the metro located @ d!ck Smith Nissan on Beltline Blvd. You may be able to check it out on their site..idk. Just wanted to check in for a min. Peace

Chris, your probably going to laugh with delight in the way of "I told you so" but I am still mad!!

Can you believe this: so i just picked up a set of nice 17x9 wheels and will be putting some 225/45 on it (from my z33 wheels) and so i take both sets of wheels (dismount the 225's on the z33 and get them ounted on the 17x9's) the the local tire place and the tech there said I am basically retared and a 225 will no way in hell seat on a 9" wide wheel and if it does, just driving around a corner will make it pop off the bead and I am like WTF its a mild stretch at that!

so i begged him to just do it and i know countless people that run this size setup but he insists that i know nothing about everything and he will not do it.so i go to 3 other shops and one wont mount tire on new wheels (wtf/ i know) and the other (Firestone tire shop) WONT mount tires on aluminum wheels (i dont get his because bouat 70% of cars have aluminum wheels), and the other said they charge $28 and wont be done for another 5 hours

I hate SC when it comes to this kind of stuff....socal RULES in tire shops!!!

So now i am in the hunt to find a tire shop that wont mess up my new wheels but still do it....I think Costco might be a good bet... Anyone know someone that could "hook-a-brotha-up"? I will love (not in a gay way lol) you forever!
