staticx- post some pics of that kouki.

Brandon, I got your paperwork. The SUV is something I can use to haul my kids, maybe pull a trailer, tow the occasional car, go to home depot and stuff. We need an extra vehicle and could use the extra cargo space. Plus it's a 5 speed and 4x4, and loaded.

Hey peeps, just got back from Daytona and I must say that this weekend was the best that I've had in a looooong time!! Spent a lot of time on the beach and just chillin. Saw some cool cars...2 Bently Coupes, Lambo Gallardo, Maserti Quatroporte, and a Ferrari Testarosa. The tuner schene was pretty similar to what you see around here in Columbia, so nothing spectacular with that regard. All in all it was a really GR8 trip

That Pathfinder looks really good James! I'm sure it will come in quite handy, albeit the gas is gonna be murder. Down in FL, gas is like $3.04/gallon on the average. I like that truck for you, and I'd say go for it since it appears to be a decent deal.

ClubSX, that would be real sweet if you could get your old 240 back with all the mods that he's done to it. Would you be willing to sell your hatches for it if he was willing to work something out with you?

Welcome back Eddie, too bad about your S2K, hope everything pans out for you.

Well that particular pathfinder deal fell through. I'm looking at two more though. We'll see how that works out though.

Right now it looks like I need to get my exhaust leaks taken care of, get a 3 prong plug for the maf, and get an o2 sensor that fills the hole (the ones I have are too skinny) Then I should be ready to drive the 240 again.

clubsx- are you still going to sell me the red hatch?

Well guys I've got a plan and will be putting my stock wheels up for sale here shortly. I figured I'd give you guys a heads up in case anyone wanted first crack. The tires are pretty well shot in the front but the rears aren't bad. I'll need to swap out the TPS sensors for just a regular valve stem also. I don't know a price yet but if anyone is interested or knows someone interested let me know. I'll let em go cheap.

hey brandon, you know you might want to hang onto those for when you do a 5 lug conversion on your 240. they'd be pretty sweet on the coupe I think.

I think I may be getting a 96 pathfinder for $5200. 4wd, 5 speed, SE model, sunroof, nice stereo, the works.

I'm planning on using take off tires cause I will probably burn through them alot. So it will be easier to go with 16 or 17 inch wheels. Thats my thinking anyway. Besides I want new wheels on my Z but need funds so here we go.

I want 400 for them but I'll take 350. I'd want more but the front tires are getting pretty bad.

Thats not a bad deal James.

yeah, like I said, the pathfinder is going to be my baby/home depot-stuff/car/whatever I need it to haul hauler. The S14 is still my baby. I just can't bring myself to buy a pickup truck. They just aren't me.

I'm sure you can get that for your stock wheels and tires easily, in fact that sounds pretty cheap to me. Just let me know when you need me to pay you for that other set, I can pay you a little at a time or all at once whatever you need. Daniel says he can hook me up with some tires pretty cheap, but we'll see.

well, my brothers car is a live as of saturday. its running pretty good, but doing the same thing with the transmission but worse. making a weird grinding noise when the clutch is pushed in sometimes, even out of gear and then you push it in again and it doesnt do it. idk, i guess we will figure it out...i will take some pictures here pretty soon, or at least i think so.

That is a STEAL Brandon, I just might have to knock over a convenience store or two so that I can get em from ya..jk lol. Seriously though, I'll see what I can put together since my wife just started working and we'll hopefully have a few extra ducketts after the bills get paid.

James, that Pathfinder sounds good too and it's around the same ballpark as that other one was; does it have the 5-spd too or auto? It doesn't really matter, just curious.

Hey scs13 I'm glad you all are getting closer to finishing up your brothers car, hopefully y'all will be able to isolate that issue and get it resolved soon.

well my brothers car runs and drives, he has been driving it around a little bit. just that sound is terrible. i bought him some synchromesh stuff today, i think he is leaking transmission fluid so we are going to try using that. it helped on my car but i think i am leaking some too. from where my rubber thing is ripped on the shifter plate.

somebody please find me a deal on some coilovers and some nice rims, at least 16 x 7 maybe 16 x 8 in the rear.

What's your budget? A good deal to me may not be viewed the same by you. Anyway maybe this will help http://groupbuycenter.com/Listings.aspx?id=16 Tein basic coil-over set for just under $800. Otherwise I'd just check ebay.

Tirerack.com has some good deals on wheels for 240's as well imo.

Hey Brandon, you don't take layaway do ya?

scs13, you got to bleed the hell out of your clutch lines, that's all I know. I changed the clutch, throwout bearing, and pressure plate trying to fix that and it did not help. One thing that supports my theory would be when you mash the clutch, let it out and mash it again immediately. Does the noise stop briefly then? That adds more pressure to the line, therefore mashing the clutch harder. Of course if you pulled the master and slave out of that 240 brandon has now I'd be willing to bet they are no good.

gr8bryt, the pathfinder is a 5 speed 4x4, and the transmission is rebuilt and the clutch is getting replaced this week.

i kinda want some used wheels and are looking for some "used" coilovers, most of the time though people still have them basically new and just sell them for a few hundred less than i would pay for new ones.

and yeah, youre right about the master/slave. i guess when we got them from him i didnt know how cheap they were. but that mc is leaking into the inside of his car. idk if that is causing him to lose pressure or what. i guess i am just trying to figure out the whole concept behind why it would do that, because it does it even whe you have the clutch in and in nuetral sometimes, but only after it starts doing it and you take it out of gear.

the thing is, when the clutch is mashed in, the transmission is really not doing anything. So, when you are not changing gears the car will run fine. I thought maybe it was synchronizers, but I'm pretty sure it's not since you don't even have to put the car in gear to hear it.

I would suggest buying new ones. XAT racing sells them, or the Nissan Dealer, or who knows who else. Maybe you could buy new ones for your car and give your brother your old ones until he can get his own. Sounds like yours would be light years better than his even if they aren't great.

yeah, i am thinking about doing that. i try and help him out as much as i can. he just lost his job that was paying him more money than i get paid, so that he can go to school for free. he was planning on going back to school in the spring so he could keep working there and save up some money. but he fuond out that he got a scholarship. not so bad for him but now he has to go back to a **** night job making no money and not being able to make his car awesome. oh and did i mention his clutch pedal is like 50% easier to push in than mine? when we first started it up it felt like you were stepping on dog **** when you pushed the pedal in. you think that could be part of it?

oh, anybody have an extra passenger side s13 turn signal they want to give away?

your brothers car has a ****ty autozone clutch in it. You got my good one. Remember when I said I changed the clutch to try and get rid of the noise? It still may just need more pressure though. It is a new clutch and should last ok as long as he's not dropping the clutch all the time.

And if an S14 turn signal is the same as an S13 then yes I do have one I could give away. You're talking about the small one on the side right?

yeah it's got a new throwout bearing.

clubsx, so does that mean you aren't going to sell one of them to me?

My car moved for the first time tonight under it's own power with the SR20 in it. Not far without the maf sensor plugged in, but still it ran. woohoo!

That's cool man. My wife recently got her school refund check and she's gonna help me get my 240 on the road for sure, but idk how much extra she's gonna hook me up with.

Good news everyone, I've gotten some call backs from some of the applications that I've submitted, one of them was from the service manager at one of the Nissan/Infiniti dealerships. It would be so sweet if I could get hired on as a tech over there. I'll keep y'all posted on progress. The other leads are Tire Kingdom and Advance Auto, so either way I'll be happy, albeit I'd prefer to get more hands on experience actually dealing with the mechanical aspect since I'm in school for it right now.

actually, I made it about 200 feet down the street then turned around.

those 350z wheels will be pretty nice, and I've been seeing 5 lug conversions for about $400, so for $750 you've got 18 inch 5 lug wheels, and that aint bad. Go ahead and get some lowering springs for $90-$150 on ebay and your car will already look pimp right off the bat. Maybe you can find used ones that way when you get to the point where you can afford coil overs you can sell them on here and get your money back out of them.

that's one good thing about fixing your car up on a budget. Used parts generally don't lose any more value, so you can get your car decent while you work towards getting nicer parts, then sell the ok parts for what you paid for them. I did that with my car from the start. I didn't want a burned up non-running shell sitting around while I dreamt about getting a jdm swap for it. That's why I put the ka in it, it was always meant to be temporary and I knew I could get my money back out of it when I was done with it, plus I could actually drive it. Maybe one day I'll do the same thing and pull the SR and sell it to get a RB26, who knows? probably not, I think I'd just get another shell but that's a different story. I'm rambling I know...

I've been checking the local junk yards for z32/s14 components for my swap because I'm not quite ready to put out $400 for that 5-lug conversion. I'd rather just have to replace bearings on a used set-up since I can do that myself @ school where we have a press. I've searched Nico for the components and all I might need is the e-brake cable and other ancillary items.
