Jordan, I don't know what to tell you, I know the autos have a lot of crap you don't need for the 5 speed, but I changed the whole thing harness and all, so I never separated those wires. I'm having the same problem with my sr swap, wires not matching up.
yeah, that guy in easley is a kid that lives in the same neighborhood as me. i was there when he came and looked at it, my car was there as well.

you had your harness done and it still isnt matchin up???? i guess we will go to a junkyard and try to find the transmission harness.

transmission harness is different from engine harness. I have a transmission harness, I'd be glad to let you have it, but give me a few days to figure out if I need anything off of it or not. I put my engine harness in last night but the car has not turned over and tried to start yet. Tophat did a nice job on it, most of the plugs look new.

I just talked to mike at tophat and he said that the maf sensor I have is from a single cam ka and that it will work but I'll have to find a 3 prong plug for it because the 4 prong will not work. So if any of yall know where I can rob a sohc ka let me know.

Brandon, I guess our problem is solved! I'm going truck shopping soon, I guess I need to look for a trailer too. I may need to bum a trailer again to get my car down to tophat if I can't get it running.

i know they are different. i mean that as two different statements about two different subjects. i might be able to find you a MAFS.

would your s14 transmission harness plug up the the s13 harness and work properly?

It's an s13 harness, and I don't have any clue if it would work. it looks different from the s14 harness though. Are you sure even need it? Just seems like it should work like it is.

so what's the price on your truck? I saw the burnt one in one of your pics, what happened there?

I'm asking $3500 for it, as for the burnt truck I have no Idea as to what happened to it other than it just burned, don't know why or how.

I live in Taylors, SC. Just bought an 07 Nissan Versa. Just wanting to get connected with the other Nissan Lovers in southeast. I traded a Nissan p/u in on the car I have so I already have several years with Nissan. I have plans for my Versa. Problem is that it is so new and they are only making 25000 of them this first year (in U.S.) that if I want any parts I have to order them from Japan and I can't understand freakin Japanese.

Wuz up everyone, just checking in. Sounds like you guys are really bogged down with that transmission mounting up and connected. I hope y'all get that squared away pretty soon so you can get it behind you.

Tire Kingdom keeps putting me off, I have to wait until Monday for my interview now. :mad I guess I'm putting all my eggs in one basket, but it would be really convenient for me to work there considering it's within walking distance from where I live--across the street from my apartment complex to be frank.

was it already burned when you got it? Or are you a closet pyromaniac?I'm shopping around for something, but I don't know what yet. I looked at a few pathfinders, a few trucks, and a few maximas although I sold mine way too cheap. I saw your post about your dad's, I'd be all over that if it was a 5 speed. Daniel's dad has a 2002 Dodge ram sport reg. cab with the 20 inch wheels that should be less than 7k when it's fixed from a wreck, especially since it already has a rebuilt title on it. I may not get anything, I'm not sure yet.

We have had that truck since I was in 7th grade, it burned in Nov 03, and we got it back from the insurance company about 6 months ago.

have you seen the 5 speed swap post in the convertibles forum? Let me make sure I don't need anything off this extra harness that I have and then I'll let you have it if you need it. I dont think you need it though, just check that thread and talk to the guys who post on that thread, they'll tell you everything you need to know.

Wus up everyone. This is gonna be a 3 day work week , but I'll be getting paid for 4. My family will be taking a trip to Daytona Beach for a little vacation. This will be our first official one and I'm stoked ! I haven't been to Florida in about 15 years (+/-) and I'm anxious to do a little site seeing while there; the whole tourist effect

That write up on the transmission swap is quite comprehensive imo. Before I bought my car I considered getting Luke's car and he's got an auto. I think the article is thorough and helpful. Good luck on getting everything squared away ASAP so you can get on the road.

yep wiring sucks, but it could be worse right? anyhow, i'm new to this forum so allow me to introduce myself. the name's charlie. i drive a stock 89' 240 fb running a little rich. i love my car but there is so much room for improvement especially in the suspension area. understeer is such a drag and my rear wheels hop a little during sharp cornerning. do you have any advice on good adjustable shocks/struts and how much i should cut my springs without having to mess with the alignment a lot? thank you.

ps. do drift events occur in sc, or am i just dreaming?

Welcome to nico, and you will be addictied to it shortly.

If you want to improve handling look into an aftermarket spring/strut combo or coilovers, avoid cutting your springs.

If there are drift events in sc I've never heard of them.

Welcome to Nico Charlie! I don't know of any drifting taking place in SC, but you may be able to find some places in the greater Charlotte area or there-about. Keep us posted if you come across anything. PLEASE don't cut your springs, it's really not worth it at all! It's better to just go ahead and do it right the first time. Like BeatupSX said, get some decent suspension components and get a good alignment, even if it's just a 2-wheel. Your handling will be more true and you'll prevent premature tire wear that would occur from the reconfigured suspension geometry that cut springs will eventually give you.

dont forget the ruca's. if you lower it at all without them then the camber is an issue.

James, Have i missed something?

Anyways. Welcome to NICO Charlie. Like Beat said, you'll get addicted to NICO really fast. I used to be on it 24/7 but now with my senior year in high school, hockey 3 days a week and school its kinda tough. Especially sharing my computer with 2 room mates. There was a drift event in GA. There might be some local ones in Charlotte or in Raleigh. You could join CarolinaNissan.com too and ask around there.

oh yeah, brandon (redemption1978) bought an 89 coupe in Easley (from one of scs13's neighbors) for $100 and is keeping it at my house. Beatupsx provided the tow vehicle to get it here. It is exactly what you would expect for $100 too.I'll post some pics as soon as I get them developed.

Charlie, welcome to nc/sc chat (ga too) check driftfury.com for events in atlanta. Anderson is not that far from the GA border.
