Yea i've had alot going on lately. I started working this week and i have crazy hours. My modem also went on my computer so im on my dad's girlfriends right now while i wait on mine to get fixed. I wish i could be on more but right now the $$ are more important. Im looking to going on a Parts Spree at the end of the summer. There is also a Z32 (the color of your S14) on the way to my work and its been sitting there for months and the front bumper is cracked at the bottom. Once i get a bit close to $2000 i might stop by and see how much he would sell it for. I could use the 5-lug, Wheels and the Brakes.

Congrats GR on the Baby!!!

my computer crapped out on me so i havent been on here. ive also been having to work 10's so that i can get this 4 day weekend. and i have been working on trying to get my motor ready to go, having to run to the store to buy parts and tools. i didnt know that the braket for the vacum lines and stuff for the intake manifold was different so i had to go buy a tap and drill those out and put my stuff on there. lots of other little problems too that i have had to get help with. hopefully i will get a clutch today and that might be about the end of stuff i have to buy for this baby to be ready to go in.

congratulations on the new addition! keep makin those NICOtots!

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I've been quite tired this week between work and school. The wife and kids just came home yesterday, but I didn't really get to see them since I got home pretty late from class.

Hey ClubSX, have you considered making that Z another project car, or are you just gonna part it out?

Yeah, tell me about it. Gas prices are almost $3 a gallon and then all those other travel expences like food and stuff.

That would have been sweet if you could have helped out on that. He's still looking for that steering wheel though, so maybe you'll be able to help out on that.

Glad you asked that. I'll take a look and if it runs nice and interior is decent and if its 5speed thats a plus, i might just sell or get rid of the red one once i get the parts off of it for the black hatch(91'). Even if it doesnt run i could still use the Rims, Brakes and Lugs. I worked on the cars a bit a week ago. Switched the wheels from the 93' to the 91'. And what a b|tch that was. I found out that the 91' with those gay rims had special lugs on then i had to screw around with that for hours.

So you have the SE style wheels and the tear drops too?? I'm interested because the 240 that I'm buying has those tear drop wheels and I wanna know if I'll have to have some type of special tool or something. I have a 4-spoke lug wrench that should be able to get off pretty much any size. What type problems did you run into?

staticx- actually if you check this soon enough, you still could pick it up, and I'd pay you of course. I have not paid in full for it yet, so I'd have to take care of that real quick.

so do you have a deposit on a car somewhere? How are you getting someone to hold it for you? Is it the one you showed us a few months ago that had the dent in the side?

Dent in the side? Doesnt have a dent in the side. The 91' (Black) needs a new hatch, new axel, new hood, motor work, tires, carpet. The 93' (Red) needs Motor, Quarter Window fixed,Paint, and thats about it so im just going to fix the Red one up . Alot less hassle if you ask me. I'd rather be working on a Window then an Axel. IMO

actually I was talking to gr8bryt, I thought he was trying to buy a 240.

so neither one of yours run? how do you get around? I didn't realize the red one was better than the black one. I guess you could always fix up the motor in the black one then drop it in the red one

I'm still waiting for the guy to get back to me about the SR. Starting to wonder what's going on with that.

geez, sure has been a while. whats been going on with your car? i think i saw you driving on three bridges road in powdersville a while back.

i need a new clutch, what should i do? buy a cheap stock replacement? i dont want to buy an expensive one without getting a lightweight flywheel. so i figure i might do that later and get them both together. i think thats the only thing left i have to buy before i drop this bad boy in. i would post some pics but my comp died.

oh and one more thing. is the TDC mark on the crank pulley the same on the s14 motor as the s13? it looks like the distributor is after number one when i set it on TDC on the s14 distributor.

autozone sells clutches that are 'good enough' to drive but you won't spin tires for $90, includes clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and pilot bushing. ClubSX said he got one from the dealer for $126. I say spend as little as possible, until you know this motor is a winner. Damn, I should have let you have the clutch I took out of mine, was a nissan factory one in perfect condition, won't do me much good when I put the SR in.

Yeah, it's the same one that I posted a while back. I gave the guy $300 to hold it for me until I get some things squared away on my end. I give him the balance when I pick it up. The car is at his parents' house while he is @ school so it's not a huge deal for him to hold on to it for me.

Hey Nismochick240, maybe go middle of the way. I'm going with Exedy clutch and flywheel combo. I don't know what your plans are, but perhaps ACT could feed your need. Dependable and not really expensive if you get a single organic plate.

that's cool. So how much do you have left to pay on it?

Who do yall think makes the best motor mounts for the SR/KA? I've looked at Tophat, and Cusco, they are both $200 a set, and Nismos are even more. Just wondered if any of you had an opinion on that.

staticx- yeah, I just missed you. I still haven't heard back from the guy about the compression test, when he lets me know then I'll pay him in full. I figure I can trust him since he was pretty straight with beatupsx about the kouki he bought from him a few weeks ago. I hope you get the 240, that'd be pretty cool, we need more S14s to represent in this thread. I'm sorry that I'm not getting my motor from you.

Looks like I need to look at buying a truck some time in the near future. As bad as I hate it, its time to face the facts, I need one. I'll try to put it off a little longer though.

I only have $1000 to give him. I figured that $1300 was a fair price since the car is damaged and used. The seller states that the car is in good mechanical condition, but of course I'll verify upon acquisition (as best as I can). I'm looking to pick it up within the next 30 days.

I was thinking about Spec too, but I've never had any experience with them. I've read good reviews here on NICO, but no personal references. Centerforce may also be an inexspensive alternative as well.

For the motor mounts, I'd try Cusco. Unless you get with Eddie's connection, the Cusco mounts sound really good. They make good differentials and are quite reputable imo.

I would only get solid motor mounts if it is for strictly drift, and not your daily. Also if you want any other brands he can get them also. Im just asking if you guys need anything to first e-mail him and get some prices before you order through another company, because it is soooo hard to get your name out when you run an online company. I can also vouch for him, i have known him for the last 7yrs.
