alright great man, like i said i'll ship it out monday morning. i'll contact you with a tracking number then as well.

as far as your thermostat housing i'd try calling jhot imports. they tend to have various things like that laying around.

I haven't weighed in on this thread but I think it is bada$$ that you are crossing domestic/import and brand boundaries to complete this swap. You are a pioneer and that is what keeps the RB forum fresh and exciting. Props to you for blazing your own trail.

Yes, yes I just used the word "props" as I am the whitest 28/29 yr old guy you'll ever know.

hey i got the pump and the MAF connector today - thanks alot to both of you!

the mount that is pictured above i got trimmed and added a support to it so all it needs is final welding and the other mount will be done tomorrow. for the wiring i am pretty sure i have all the wires labeled for the RB harness and i have enough diagrams for my S10 harness to start cutting it apart. so i should be able to splice the harnesses together this weekend like i wanted to

here are some more pictures...

nice clearance of the oil pan lol

driverside mount is trimmed and i added a support to the back side - also as you can see i dont have much room between the crank pulley and the intercooler

i was working on the wiring and i thought i had most of it figured out lol - as it turns out i didn't - anyway the purple 2 pin connector on the back of the intake manifold by the fire wall - it has black ground wire and a yellow wire which does not connect to anything because my harness was cut apart - do any of you know what it is? i just realized it was not connected to anything tonight and the diagram i have doesn't have it or i at least cant find it so if any of you know what it is that would be helpful - but i will keep searching for it in the mean time

looking good man but you'll need to rotate the motor twards the drivers side, the motor should have a bit of tilt to it to keep the oilpan level as well as the shifter level.the plugs on the back of the intake manifold are for the iac and the fcid, both of which affect idle.

where is your radiator going? and fans? i think you need to rethink your FMIC position....

thanks for the info - if the motor is not tilted does it effect the oil pickup?

and for the radiator im putting it in the box because even without the intercooler i still have no room for the radiator because the radiator did not sit inside the radiator support like the intercooler does - ive seen this done before on off road shows when they swap a V8 into an S10 so i thought id give it a try

i always wondered why the RB motors sat in the engine bay tilted and when i mounted it i just went for it being level anyway tonight i cut my mounts apart so i could tilt it and heres what it looks like - im still going to tilt it a little more but this is just mock fitted - i need to weld the mounts tomorrow at school

as it turns out it fits better now anyway so to me lol

also to let you know you can use a ka oil psi sending unit but to let you know the factory nissan oil psi sending unit doesnt kick the oil light on until it drops down to around 5 psi so you would be better off just running an aftermarket oil psi gauge. also if you could you should write down all your wiring info and post a write up on the wiring cause that would be a swap i wouldnt mind attempting lol. keep us posted looking good so far and just make sure you level your oil pan with the cross member cause thats how the rb is suppossed to sit. but so far it looks very unique and bad arse.

i got my driveshaft today which i was told came off of an R33 RB25DET front clip.... however the yoke was wrong for my transmission - the yoke i need is a 30 spline and the yoke on the shaft i got is 24 spline with 2 keys 180 degrees from each other - at least that what i would call them, it looks like 2 splines are missing

i did some research so i know the transmission on the RB25DET is suppose to have 30 splines and that it is a different transmission than the NA RB25 -

are the yokes on the RB25DET driveshaft different from the NA RB25 shaft, and based on my description does anyone know what shaft i actually got.

if i have wrong info please correct me and thanks for any help!!

this is my transmission

this is the driveshaft i received - its a litte hard to see but you can tell there are the 2 notches or keys in the yoke

Unless your good at building drive shafts, I suggest going to the drive shaft shop, I got mine from LLC but they take to long and they source it from drive shaft shop now anyway. All you need to do is take a measurement and they'll make it for you. Mine was $300, I think their a few bucks more now, but still its cheap considering its a brand new 1pc drive shaft with new yokes on it. Ive been following this thread, looks like its goin in a good direction, It should be fun to drive! I have a colorado as a daily driver, that im hoping to LS1 sometime once this never ending RB project ends.

If anyone knows if a stock KA/rb20 drive shift input will work, I have the first part, it's been cut, but it doesn't matter, your going to have to lengthen it anyway to get it to work..

im not sure what one it is you need, but i do have a extra rb25det yoke at the house. when i get their i will count the splines and let you know if the one you have is correct.

oh and what your going to do is fine, on all my rb swap cars i have never spent over 100 dollers to have one done, i might just have the right hook up, cause i wouldent want to spend that much unless i had to i'll get back with some useful info in a few

ok sorry i took so long to get back to ya, i pulled the yoke from my transmission and i counted 28 splines not counting the empty slots, so after you count the empty spots that would be 30, thats what i have in my rb25det trany

i got my exhaust manifold today! and i know most people will say its a cheap top mount but i have had good luck with this company so far and i needed a top mount because with the stock manifold the turbo did not clear the steering shaft - with this manifold i only have about 1/4" clearance but it fits so im not complaining

i figured i could add some support brackets from the turbo flange back to the block to help prevent the manifold from cracking - but i had a similar manifold on my civic for about 2 years and never had a problem with it - but i sold it to fund the RB swap

edit: sorry the pics are big but i have them saved on photobucket as 800X600 so i dont know what the deal is

here are a couple updates - i got the upper engine harness 99% done - just have to finish wrapping it but i needed to put it on to see where to make the joints - and where to put it through the firewall - its going to be really tight but i think i will have enough room under the dash by the steering wheel to fit the computer so i dont have to make the harness longer - dont have a pic of the inside yet cause its just a huge mess of wires

finally put my hood back on and it shuts with about 3/4" to spare above the motor

i also ordered a new radiator and coolant overflow tank which should be here next week - as much as i like the intercooler up high i decided i would move it back down low to leave the radiator in the front
