I really like this car. :dblthumb: Its very clean without any crazy aero and rolled fenders. The wheel and suspension setup must be enjoyable to drive on the streets.

found a local junkyard and decided to check it out, well it had a 92 hatch, and had just what i was looking for... :)

i found 2 brown door panels (that are now mint due to some swapping from my old sh*t ones),

a actual 240 center tail piece (got tired of my JDM TyTE 180SX)

2 Q45 Ignitors

and a new center console armrest (one old had a crack in it)

and i got it for dirt cheap

Image

and i was never a fan on the one piece tails on the hatches, and i dont see the point in $500 kouki's and dont think the ebay ones are special at all either... soo

The paint looks nice in those pics. I also think the painted center piece gives a pretty clean look. :bigthumb:

Great!! except the paint on the tails doesn't really flow with the rest of it.

so while i installed the boost controller and the boost gauge and once again i was screwed over by autometer...gauge is broken, the needle was pegged out past 30psi...so i sent it back to them and getting another new gauge thanks to thier 1 year warranty..... then after everything was installed, we began a street tune with the greddy profec b...
Image

we noticed that there was some lag...just thought it was the tune, after a alot of tuning we stopped, checked all my fmic clamps and hoses for a leak, no leaks so we checked the plugs.... :tisk: they were covered in oil....so i disconnected the boost controller and hooked all the hoses back to factory connections...

so i ordered a new valve cover gasket and spark plug well seals.... some brk7eix-11's and finally got around to that...
Image

old gaksets, seals
Image

all new
Image

old plugs

and new

ill keep you updated on how the next tune goes..... :ohno:

so another update...

soo i finally got rid of the breather filter setup that i was running, and ran it back into my intake piping, a major difference in overall performance, it runs healthier and idles better too

old setup...
Image

and the new..

Image
Image

i also replaced my pcv valve because my old one was starting to gunk up and stick, which is no good...easy $5 fix..

Image
Image

and after the above i finally hooked back up my greddy profec b and got my brand new gauge back from autometer and wired it all up.. still needs some tuning (it was 100+ deg outside and i was starting to heatsoak really bad and doing back to back 2nd pulls wasnt too smart) so ill fine tune it when i get the time...and i also gapped my plugs to 0.30 for that extra boost

its tuned to 11psi right now... here are some pics

Image
Image

and the gauge.... the pod is crap and is only a temp.. it was only 11 bucks :gotme

Image

and the overall setup as it sits...

so im thinking about getting a new exhaust.... keep in mind this is not my daily driver and i dont have to worry about unwanted police attention, due to where it is registered...

im thinking of the isis dual tip straight pipes

i dont really like my current top fuel exhaust, and for the price ( i know it is a knock off ) and the striaght pipes look alot cleaner than my current set up..

heres a link

what do u think?

and reviews?

I love the way the straight pipes look, but wouldn't it be a hassle to replace it when it gets inspected?

so i got some new lug nuts , cant go wrong with Gorilla... black anodized for like 40 bucks :dblthumb: alot better than the cheap chrome PAINTED tuner lugs that came on the car back when i bought it... they were a lil rusted...

Image

and i also got tired of the one piece headlight look (it just bothers me) so i painted my jdm grille black, it was really sun faded and like this look better untill i wanna buy a gtr grille... looks ok for now
