You ARE and WILL get fumes from a wetcell battery. Whether your sniffer picks them up or not doesn't mean they aren't there and aren't bad for you. Gelcells like Optimas won't fume.

My M5 has a dedicated vent in the top of the battery which vents to a tube that leads right thru the floorpan.

Other fun fact: Blue is one of the harshest colors on your eyes at night. May wanna change that for orange/red/amber/green.

Not hating on the build, just giving insight and correcting some glaring errors.

Carry on, sir

well the funes from the wetcell battery i could give a sh*t else about...oh well :gapteeth:

and i know that blue is the harshest color on your eyes, but my boost gauge happened to be blue, the greddy bc and tt also happened to be blue...sooooo i went with a blue cluster...

i know you are trying to help, but your insight isnt needed on my "glaring errors".... :inoutgay:

I personally like the way the blue looks on your dash, How much did the lights run you and how long did they take to put in?

well thank you sir :chuckle:

its not half as bad as some people make it out to be, the blue leds i got are light on the eyes ( even for a blue) and i wanted to keep the color theme...

here is write up on the install that also contains a link to the place i got my leds... they were dirt cheap, less thank $10?

http://www.s-chassis.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40228

its was super easy and alot better thank factory... :dblthumb: good luck

well today i swapped out my lower oil pan, got a brand new oem pan fron nissan of chesapeake for 69.99 shipped, not bad.

though my my motor never showed any signs of low oil pressure, its nice having that peace of mind knowing the small dents wouldnt be a problem..

here is the pan

Image

everything ready to go

Image

oil pan off

Image

the rtv silicone on, i found a great high temp, oil resistant (made specifically for oil pans, even said for 4ctl turbocharged motors :gotme )

Image

the new pan on....doesnt she look pretty :naughty:

Image
Image

was a fairly easy process and the pan ail silicone only costed about $75 :dblthumb:

here is a pic of the old pan, eeeek

I apologize, I was merely lurking and noticed o.o ' a new thread i might have missed, and it has a actual jdm car in it. then i came here and was dissapoint.
My apologies are sincere
i just was expecting an actual sil80.

and you can change the name of the thread in the first post by editing it.

i would rather not... because i didnt make this thread to debate if a usdm 240sx with a s13 silvia front end is a sil80 or a sil40

there are a dozen other threads that debate this issue.... please waiste your time there, not here..... thanks

ordered some a few new parts

isis aluminum radiator
Image

isis silicone hoses
Image

mishimoto thermostat
Image

new water pump
Image

noticed i had a small coolant leak underneath the water pump... i knew it was coming from the pump but to just keep peace of mind i checked my compression...and i couldnt have been happier (160/160/160/160) not 1 psi difference between cylinders

so i found a sale and got a sweet deal on the parts above... :bigthumb:
