Yes, There are a few companies that make adjustable front struts and even coilovers that work on our Pathfinders. I've found a few Japanese Forums where they are taking struts designed for the Nissan ElGrand Van, and bolting them directly to their pathfinders. I posted the Billstien part numbers here before, but unfortunately even if you call billstien with those part numbers, they will not show up in their system. They must be a Japan only part seeing as how the Elgrand is a JDM only vehicle. So if you have connections in Japan (which I still do) then they can be purchased and shipped over if you can't live with the rudimentary strut options we have available here in the US. As far as adjust ability goes, Ohlins makes a coil over thats designed for the ElGrand and its completely adjustable ride height and dampening, and its valved for the 4500lb Elgrand which is close to our Pathy's weight.miamiheat3332 wrote:So they do make adjustable struts... are yours new or used? Im asking because you said you had to "look" for them. Im pretty sure mine are shot after about 35k miles with my lowering springs, i have pop coming from the front end everytime you brake, or go over bigger bumps but slow, and i get tramlining real bad lately too. Im 99% its the struts, cause everything else is only a few months old, or higher quality parts like the poly bushings.
I just dont think the kybs have valving anywhere close to the springrate of these coils.
On the other hand, i dont mind replacing them every 35k, i can get a set of 2 for probably $120 or less so its not that bad, and probably 1.5 hours of my time.
