!!!UPDATE!!!!First off im 25 here in atlanta and my car is a 1989 240sx coupe auto (paid $300)im sorta veering off the path i was headed a month ago with a fully built h22a4 honda prelude, while its about 75% complete i took it the body shop and they were just taking forever with it so i decided to get started on something else...this.

And heres my car..

Well guys basically heres the run down. Im not really lookin to make a **** load of HP i just want to have something fun that i put together. i know its been done before several times but something about putting a motor made by a different car manufactur in another car seems like a challange and thats what i like.. what im going to do is attemp to do the wiring myself with as many pics and diagrams as possible.. i co-own an automotive garage in the atlanta area so all the labor will be done by me. Any input or advice will be greatly appriciated..And i know the car is an auto i will be swapping it to a 5spd i probably wont be posting any info on it since its covered over and over again.. Also i've set my budget at $6000 for everything including the motor set ($1800 at pacific engine company, engine auto transmission ecu harness) so here we go..

UPDATE

Yeah you guys hybrid section probably wont help me very much... $1700.00 from tech 2 for some brackets and a drive shaft is insane, colorful blue radiator hose kit wit misc. stuff for their crazy prices just doesnt sit well with me. autozone has radiator hose of ALL shapes and sizes, as well as clutch lines($2 foot or something like that) i have found a mount kit with a lifetime warranty for under $250.00 and it sits the 2jz perfectly snug with enough room for the heater core hoses, Driveline of atlanta is custom making me a xxxhp driveshaft for $350 balanced and ready to go and im going to wire it at home. i believe this is going to be a real do-it-your-self project and every step and completed task will be documented espically the wiring..

i was trying to find someone who has used ruckas racing's mount kit but was kinda unsucessful but im buying them anyways their around $250 and look like they'll do the job. today i had a little time on my hands so i went ahead and used masking tape and labeled each sensor and plug as i removed the harness..

i've got a list of what wires need to be spliced to just make the engine run so hopefully this wont be as hard as its made up to be.

Im using the ruckus racing mounts. They are great, but they are made for r154.. im using them with a w55 transmission and I just had to drill some different holes. It was easier to put the 1jz than the ka lol.

w55 is the transmission that comes on the is300 5speed. Lol whatever you do don't get it.. i've heard they don't hold past 450hp. Im using a standalone computer but from what I read the stock computer only takes a few wires to get the engine running.

Good luck with the build should be a fun one.

I will be doing the same thing later this summer in a Grey coupe but i am leaving it automatic! wooot.

Let me know how you like the rukus kit.The Tech2 one is way to much money but they can charge what ever they want cause there one of the only companies that have a 2J S-Chassis swap.

Wow i didnt really think there were that many people intrested in this swap and i also thougt i would get alot of "why not rb" or "why not sr" but this is nice fellas and i'll try to give as much info as can. I was talking to "dr tweak" today and he really didn't want to tell me if i was on the right track or not with the wiring. (i didn't think he would) he was like "of course i would like you to send it to me" but i think i can do it and when i get it done i will post exactly how i did it so whoever wants to wire theirs up can refer back to this thread, use their brain, and maybe save the "400$ thatll make your life eaiser"! (ali 556).. anyways my GF wrote me this because she says "all i car about is my 240 and my stupid JZ" i thought it was funny!

Im using a EMS stinger... I haven't installed it yet, I had it working on my KA-T but the good thing is it can work on almost any 4cyl and 6cyl. A friend of mine is wiring it for me.

Im going to use stock coils and a nissan ignitor most of the supra guys with standalone around here are using the nissan ignitors because they are more reliable. Maybe I'll post my progress I have a lot pics already.
