check this out http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=179015 pic of the engine in the car with the rukus racing mounts.

i going to wire it up no doubt about that and ill quit only when my ecu burns!

Oh boy! That picture never gets old....Wait... yes it does. In my journey for 2JZ swap info I have stummbled onto that pic way too many times. Now adays I sigh when I see it =(

Side note: That picture isn't even an S13/14 is a Sc300 or Soarer. Can some one update this picture to atleast an S chassis so it can be funny again?

Well i dipped on over to 240atlanta.com and just realized how many bigheaded *** people we have here in atlanta( i've done this, it takes 15k plus to do this swap, i've got 10 2j's under my belt.)

2JZ and RB26/RB25 is $10,000-15,000 (the 10K if he does the work himself, the 15k if a shop does it)

YOU CANNOT DO IT FOR CHEAPER and anyone that thinks they can doesnt know what it takes to do the swap.

(My favorite)"QUOTE"

raise your hand if you have done a 2JZ swap in this thread

*raises hand*

And decker.

raise your hand if you have done 4-5 2JZ swaps with cutomers from start to finisih

*raises hand*

I think that maks me the authority on what it TAKES.

The guy that said $4600, if it was that cheap EVEYONE would have it.

Ask ANYONE that has the swap, it takes $10,000 MINIMUM. Sure you could half *** alot of things like most 240 owners, but then that isnt what this thread is about......

It just sounds like a whos cooler competition than an informative fourm. I was going to sign up and post what i was thinking but decided i'de stay here.

How do you go on another 240 forum and bash it like that. Idk I think its a little disrespectful. On the other hand I checked out the site and was impressed. It is HUGE if you think that it is dedicated to one city in Georgia...Non the less, his comments were tasteless.

How the swap going? Any updates? Random pictures? Good stories? Jokes?

here in "Georgia" we basically have Atlanta and "surrouding counties" so when i say atlanta thats what i mean. and nobodies bashing the site, and all i read was that one thread. im sure there is some pretty good info there thats just what i ran across first.

Its the c clip from the transmission for the clutch. Do you have a 1jz bellhousing? gonna need it for the r154 if yours is not from a 1jz. they are around 300-350.

What part of ATL do you live? I just moved from Buford/Duluth area to Colorado for work. May be moving back sometime in the near future.

anyways look forward to updates.

yeah i bought the r154 transmission but havn't got that far in the swap yet.. I've been really thinking about the wiring and this is how im going to decipher it: Basically if you can diagnose a "no start" problem in any vehicle i believe you can get this thing to start.

Step 1. Starting.. should be pretty simple to jump the wires to the park neutral switch and run the ignition switch pin from the ecu to the ignition switch on the ka. (will post pic and info in future). i'll play with this till i can get the engine to crank over and when it does.....

Step 2. Fuel... Fuel pump relays on the 240sx and the gs300 and the supra are exactly the same. its a relay, opens the circut and closes it im pretty sure i can figure that out too because honestly if you have a wiring diagram in your face and compare each you will see the similarities. Got Gas! if so...

Step 3. ignition.. To me this should be the easiest of any because these are ran directly from the ecu, get their signal from the crank sensors, and "I" believe if the crank sensors are.... well lets back up. the ECUharness has three plugs.. two plugs consist of everything inside the engine bay sensors, coils, valves everything on the engne is controlled by these two plugs (post pics soon) the other plug is for basically for relays, passanger cabin stuff and other important stuff. i know it probably sounds confusing but when i get everything in the car and start taking pictures you guys will understand.. its just a bunch of info in my head now. n-e ways the ignition coils are ran directly from the ecu so if its getting power , and the proper sensors are good and working we should be getting fire.and if we are than we move to....

step 4...we take the $500 we saved having somebody else wire it up and buy something nice for your girl for allowing you to spend countless days and hours on your "stupid jz".. i may sound crazy and some people may think im wrong but im a firm believer that if you put your mind to something and are willing to learn you can do anything this is going to be an example of just that!

Don't let one post deter you from 240atlanta. It is very informative at times and is a good community of people. Congrats on taking on the 2j swap. You'll love it when she's up and driving.

Keep up the good work and good luck!
