which rule did it break to warrant being locked? i didn't get a PM suggesting that it should have been somewhere else, or that it wasn't appropriate material for this forum.

BTW, i wouldn't have this thread here, but the only mod who posted in the thread doesn't accept PMs, and i can't seem to find a site questions forum....this seems to be my only option to understand how this forum is wanting to operate.

Let's hope that someone higher up the NICO food chain (moderator, admin or NICO owner) will open up your thread. You saved a hail-damaged Q from the wrecking yard and are trying to show us what a 97+ Q has in her. It's the first one I've seen on an autocross track.

When your thread gets opened back up tell us more about how she handled and if you think you could outrun Wes's autocross Q on the track.

Nissan Road Racing / Auto X Forum is that special place reserved for such things!

WE try to keep a tight rein on low count posters until they've been around a few years or 5,000 posts.

is this forum wide, or just in the q45 section? is this applied to every newb, regardless of post type? h4d mY p0s7 b33N tYp3D L1k3 th15, I could understand shutting it down. considering it was typed in plain english, and dealt with a q45, i foolishly assumed this was the proper place for it. obviously, i was wrong.

I'm sorry i don't have 11-ty billion posts, i spend most of my time building and racing cars. i've built, shown, and raced lots of nissans, and never really felt the need to share with the world. i'm guessing that's probably what i should continue to do.

i see. so, your comment about low count posters was meaningless?

and, just so i can understand how this forum wants to work...

this thread should be in the interior forum
this thread should be in the audio/entertainment/security forum
this thread should be in the infiniti parts for sale forum
another interior thread
a security thread
ought to be in the existing g50 owners thread
infiniti parts WTB?

hell, at this rate, considering how comprehensive the non-model specific forums of NICO are, your logic dictates that almost nothing should be allowed to remain open in the q45 forum, aside from the three owners check in threads. under your concept of using the non-model specific forums to their max potential, this forum should really be nothing more than those three threads and a ton of redirects.

There are rules against this topic and you should have contacted the site owner Greg or the other Q45 moderator Wes.

And check out this section: nissan-road-racing-auto-x-forum.html

I guess i missed the rules thread for this forum. you mind linking me to it, so i can make sure i don't break any more of them?

also, is there a forum leader list somewhere so people can easily decipher who is in control of which sections of this site? additionally, since elwesso doesn't seem to accept PMs either, how should i have contacted him?

I shall, thanks.

:edit: and i did....

....and looking at the FAQ/RULES posted in/for that forum, it appears my post would have been against the rules there as well.

it's not an SCCA or HPDE event, it's not sanctioned by any national party or club, and it's not held at a recognized track. while what we do isn't illegal, it's also not any of the styles of racing that forum seems to be built for.

so, i can't post my autocrossing q45 in either the autocrossing forum, or the q45 forum. I'm beginning to think i'll never achieve the required 5000 posts....

Well all I do to achieve many posts is go through the never ending 25 pages of posts and see who I can help: search.php?search_id=unanswered

A lot of this is a judgement call, and you've made it clear that you disagree with Q45Tech's call on this. Hopefully you'll continue to hang out with us here... you'll slowly assimilate into the "unique" mindset of the Q45 forum. :squint:

If you take issue with the way a moderator has handled something, feel free to contact an administrator via email or PM. These types of disagreements are best handled off-forum, which is why, if you read the TOS you agreed to when you registered, you'll see that we don't allow topics discussing moderator decisions. We're certainly willing to hear you out, but the public forum isn't the right place for that. :)

Don't let this bumpy start scare you away from the forums, though. There are plenty of us who would love to read about Qs getting autocrossed. :naughty:
