Yes we "save" spots here, yes it is illegal, but if you killed your back to shovel out your spot you deserve to keep it until all the snow melts. Having said that the night before a major snow storm is chaos on the block as everyone jockeys for a spot on the block, needless to say if you leave to go to the store before the snow starts you are s*** out of luck b/c someone will steal it. It's also not uncommon to save spots for your friends on the block by parking like a douchebag. Those of you who live in the burbs and have driveways have it sooooo easy. If all I had to do was shovel out my driveway and sidewalk I'd be much happier, nothing worse than digging out and either someone stealing your spot or the plow coming through and burying you back in.

Oh and we're in for another 14-18" on Wednesday.

The plow just came through and buried us back in...

I swear, that guy aimed for every open driveway by changing the pitch of the blade! A big-as$ smile on his face while doing it, too.

Federal Government is still closed today but my employer decided to open anyway. Grrrrr.

I'll be taking some unscheduled leave the rest of this week. I don't deal with snow, I just stay home.

At least I'll make some progress on the Ruckus.

Well I bought a shovel upgrade...I hope I don't have school so I can help with the Snow non-sense...

Nothing gets me nervous any more...I was shoveling in the Blizzard of (90 something) and I have seen it all. After that, snow just became annoying and not something I worry about.

One would think snow/ice is a drifters paradise, but that doesn;t seem to be the case. sliding w/o tire wear should be FTW.
