I am pretty sure that I will be taking advantage of the GB over on Zilvia for Megan parts. The RUCAs, Toe and Traction links are ~$350 shipped. This thread has convinced me to give them a try instead of the headache of replacing the bushings. Good info guys!!

By the end of Jan, I'll have new ball joints, all new rear arms, new ES LCA bushings, and RT-615s on. Should be nice!!

We should get a group buy going, there obviously is a major interest in these Megan Racing parts, I'm very interested in the street coilovers and if the ride is too harsh for a daily driver?

Yes, another person to add frequent updates *crosses fingers*
ser2102 wrote:well a little update here. everything on the suspension seems to be hllding up ok. the only thing i noticed is that on the toe links and the Rucas, the tightening nuts for the adjustment screws came loose. so when installing them, you need to tighten the crap out of them i guess. they back out easily from all the vidbration. thats my only problem i had with them.
Thanks for another update. Im goin to get some rear arms from Megan over the winter. Ill go from there.

Just for another comparison

I went and got the TEIN HE Drift Spec Coilovers and i love them

They get traction to the ground and they have held up to all the abuse i have put them through

I have been running megan street coilover for about 8 months now. I love them. They have done me great so far. Yea, they are a little stiff, but you dont buy coilover for it to ride like a benz. The only problem i have had with them so far is the height adjustment nut backing out and giving the coilover a little play.

i know its not part of the suspension category, but i have the megan downpipe for the sr... because of its ground clearance and its angle, it sucks donkey balls... theyre not meant for slammed s13's w/ 15" wheels on 205/55, thats for sure

Hey adrain have you thought of the circiut sports down pipe?

I just received my megan's ruca's and toe arms haven't installed them yet but the quality looks good to me. You know for the price I think that its very good quality.

I also plan on getting the rest of megans rear suspension links to complete the setup..

I haven't had any problems whatsoever out of the traction links/toe rods that I put on. There's an autocross in two weeks, I'm gonna put some pavement on 'em and see how they hold up.

I've been running Megan Street Coilovers for 3 weeks now, and they are holding up perfectly well. When I first installed them, I kept the ride height pretty high and turned the dampeners to the softest setting. The car drove like a Cadillac. Now I have only 1 3/4in between the wheel well and tire, and the dampener is set 2 clicks from the stiffest setting. I hear everyone say that it's too stiff, but I don't notice it at all. Granted I drive like my Grandma on bad streets. But on the highway, acceleration, passing, and on/off ramp cornering is perfect. And there is very minimal bounce. For the $900 shipped I paid, I think they're perfect. Whats the point in dishing out 300 to 400 more for Teins?

I'm collecting my funds to do RUCA, toe rods, Tie rods and ends, and tension rods. This may be a newb question but what does a traction rod afford you as far as adjustability?

I'll order it all within the month and let this thread know.

megan rucas, are good, the rest of there suspension stuff is pretty much the same as all the ebay knock offs cheap crap, as for there coilovers, who knows, 90% of people have only tryed one brand so no one can judge, as far as i can tell they are typical coilovers out of Taiwan.

The traction link holds the rear wheels in position relative to the chassis during acceleration and deceleration.

I just purchased some Megan RUCA for my 90 fastback. I have JIC Magic RUCA on my coupe, but i have to say the quality is pretty nice on the Megans. The heim joint is protected by a rubber boot, which the JIC doesnt have, to keep dirt and water out. Real good idea. But the JIC has a reinforcement weld that the Megan doesnt. We'll see after install how well they feel and hold up.

The fastback also has some Megan springs, which do actually lower the car the 1.75" as advertised. The springs are stiff and not bouncy at all (liner rate springs). My coupe has Eibach Sportlines (cost twice as much), and i have to say i actually prefer the Megans. The Eibachs lower the same as the Megans (1.75", do NOT believe Eibach's lies of a 2.2" drop), but feel bouncy due to the progressive spring rates. So far the Megan springs beat the Sportlines hands down.

Basically i'm pretty impressed so far with Megan's suspension parts.

Jason
