I have two codes that recently came up for a second time with in the past three months ....P1320 and P0306....they both point to a misfire in cylinder #6...i just changed the plug and and had new coils put on about a year ago...any thought on what to do?

Welcome to NICOclub.

Check the wiring to the stock sub. Find the two wires that attach to it and make sure they are on tight. I just picked up an I35 myself this weekend, so I'm just starting to get familiar with it. But, if you need help finding things, let me know and I can take a look at mine and snap some pictures or something to help.

If you can't fix yours, and want to buy a new one... Here's what I would do:

I've always been a fan of the Infinity Basslink subwoofer. It's a 10" subwoofer with it's own amplifier built in. It's very compact (for a 10" sub) and can very easily be placed in the back of the trunk and not take up much of your space. http://www.amazon.com/Infinity...63TJY

A few quick questions for you:

What model year is your Max?

Are you sure you used the correct spark plugs?Did you check the gapping on the plugs before putting them in?

Have you rechecked the connection from the wire harness to the coil pack on #6.. which is misfiring? Check the connector and make sure it's plugged in all the way. Check the little metal pins to make sure they aren't bent or broken.

Check the coil pack itself. Frequently if they go bad, you'll see some discoloration from them burning themselves out. Make sure the black exterior is all uniform and not gray streaked in some areas.

Check the little spring connections at the bottom of the coil pack by pulling off the rubber boot. Make sure that looks like it's actually touching the metal connector at the bottom of the coil. Do the same on the other side of the boot at the point it should touch the spark plug.

If none of that helps.. buy a single new coil pack. Replace it and see if that is the cure. You can always return it if it's bad.

Another thing to keep in mind is that by now, the wire harness might be getting a little frail. It's a 8 year old plus car now... so follow the wires and see if you find any cracking or pinching that might have harmed the electrical flow along the way.
