while i agree with you that it looks rather straight forward, you have to remember that this is a precision machined piece, you don't want to take the chance of getting it wrong ya know

as for the gaskets being 2 seperate gaskets, i'm aware of the setup on the 26s but i don't think it should pose any kind of problem in terms of setting everything up for the flange

Oh, I definately agree, just thought I would give you the most info I had at the time. Like I said I will look in my garage when I get home tonight.

If nothing else, will it have a full flange like the one I pictured so I can drill the holes myself if all else fails?

okay so to answer everybody's questions......but before i do i just want to remind everybody that i won't be discussing any prices on anything until i get the green light from LoveFab

if you want the manifold made up in 321 stainless, it is an option but it will cost more than the standard manifold

as for the divided manifold setup, yes it can be done but that would also cost additional money due to the extra time and resources that it would take to develop a divided setup that actually provides any gains. its not very easy to make a divided 6 cylinder manifold that flows better than a standard setup

let me know if you guys have any more questions as i would be happy to get them answered for you

absolutely, the manifold will be a full flange setup, what you do with it when you get it home is entirely up to you

really? if you could send your old manifolds in addition to whatever gaskets you may have that would be great. The more that LoveFab has to give to their fabricator the faster he'll be able to start making more manifolds

if you send me an exhaust gasket for the 26, i'll pass them on to LoveFab so that he can have his machine shop accurately drill the holes for the 26 as well. By doing this, LoveFab will be able to guarantee that the manifolds will fit w/o a problem

i should have an answer for you tomorrow

i'm using the r33 cross member (previously stated ) and the Import Intelligence mounts are custom

as for worrying about piping locations and what not, you're going to have to fab up a new hot pipe, a new o2 housing, and of course the wastegate dump tube (if you run an external gate)

the differences from one swap kit to another or even a custom swap are not significant enough that its going to be such an issue that you won't be able to use the manifold
I do realize what your using. But the Import Intelligence custom mounts. Are they stock dimensions and just better material?Do they drop the motor down, or back or what?I've never heard of these mounts.

I only know them to make Gauge faces and needle lights.I didn't know that they did actual performance.

Please let me know.Because I have Top Hat mounts and things that seem to fit and work with other mount kits and even Top Hat mounts don't seem to fit on my car.My mounts are about 3 years old at this point. So maybe there were revision changes.

Import Intelligence has been doing performance for a long time now lol.....they have customers from all over the place

check out my website http://web.mac.com/fatell and see how my engine sits and what not. as for the dimensions....they're whatever dimensions they felt was necessary, I never really cared to ask them As for the material, they're cold rolled polyurethane

regarding your top hat mounts.......if they're 3 years old why not just email them and find explain them your issues you seem to be having and inquire about any revised versions of their mounts. if that's not the issue then perhaps your car had been in a front end collision prior to your ownership and but it didn't rear its head until you threw in an RB

Yeah I know a little about them.Saw them at a couple of events.

See the dimensions are what I'm interested in.Because if they were trying to make the ITM not hit the hood, they would have lowered it and for better CG they would have pushed it back further. Or maybe they are just stock replacement for the R33.

I can't really tell from the pictures, but I'm assuming they made them lower.Cause one of you pics say "Can't sit a RB much lower than that"

But it probably wont affect the turbo and WG placement though.

Well when you get it take some pics.

Car looks good!!!

Yeah I'm not sure if my car's been in a accident or not.The kid said no, but he had it 2nd hand.I know the car's been painted already.I tried looking for the usual suspects, but can't really tell.

thanx for the compliment and your genuine interest in the setup, however to insure that we don't stray too far off the subject here you, i would just try to email TopHat, guys are using them still and aren't having any problems

The mounts use the stock R33 cross member, and allow the engine to sit a little lower in the bay.

Any update to whether or not someone is sending a RB26 exhaust gasket or if they plan to make it RB26 compatable?

it would be easier to just make a RB25/25 mani as FullRace did, then it'd be interchangable and backwards compatible :D

yes somebody is sending me a pair of RB26 manifolds and yes LoveFab will be making the manifold with the flange drilled for all RBs (20, 25, and 26)

Thanks alot for the update (and to whoever is sending those manifolds). I'm glad this is going to happen then. Any word on possible pricing?

Pretty cool... hope it works for ya!

Only outstanding concern I have is for this one:That's a lot of unsupported weight out there! Giant moment arm on that furthest cyl from the turbo... think big crowbar

Airfilter behind the rad isn't the best idea either... even with the heat wrap... I'd worry about durability on the electronics over there... they should move those (the electronics) up front in my opinion

Cool company non-the-less... look forward to seeing future products!

^^^^^yeah sorry i haven't emailed you to let you know that i received the manifolds....i've been kinda busy, midterms next week

as for an update, LoveFab has a few things going on that are going to delay the manifold by a couple of weeks but....

HAVE NO FEAR

the manifold will be done by the end of march and they should be ready to accept customer orders by then as well

Can't wait to see these come out. Hopefully they are quite a bit cheaper then the FullRace manifold and I am sure it will be. My friend has a LoveFab manifold on his B-series honda and the things looks awesome. Very quality tig welds with high quality stainless steel. I can already tell you this manifold will be just as nice as the FullRace for quite a bit cheaper. I will be buying one soon hopefully.

very true, DETurbine, have any new pics of the beast back together off the stand?

I would like to know if there is any possibility of this manifold being a twin scroll as the Full Race mani..

i'm pretty sure its not going to be a twin scroll manifold, but i'll check for sure when i next talk to LoveFab
