July 10th 2004The Bluegrass Z Car Clb is going to Bardstown for the Whisky City Cruiser show. Its mostly old cars so its going to good to show them what Nissan has. It would be cool to have the Louisville area Max's out there to help out.More details to come.

So I'm talking to one of my cousins (2nd cousin) last night. We're talking about cars and what not. So he then tells me that next time we're going to the track to call him....I've all but convinced him to take his 911 Turbo to see what it'll do. :devil

Ouch. Went to the stealership today as I got an SES light.turned out to be one of those $350 oxygen sensors. While I was in I had them upgrade the MAF.

They had to re-set the ECU with the O2 sensor and told me all about how I'll get the latest updates, etc.But then they still charged me $150 to install the new MAF and reprogram the ECU (although it was listed as just install MAF).heck, they didn't even have to dis assemble the intake as the just plugged a new sensor in the houseing.

All said and done I am now $750 poorer but have new brakes, balanced tires (needed to do that), MAF, O2.

The loss of power at 3200 RPM is now gone! Finally it all feels right. Ahhhhhh.

It always eases the mind when my car is running tip-top, so I know how it is to just say "oh well, I'll pay 'em" and get it over with. Still happy witht teh body work Steve?

Sorry guys. Can not make it. I am going to be at lanwar.... http://www.lanwar.com Lots of people and lots of gaming :D.... unless i get tired of gaming and decide to come, but then i would need to find a ride. or walk since it is down the road from me.

Also bad news. I am getting screwed on insurance. Right now its lookin like its gonna cost me 2 grand or more to get everything fixed. I'm ready to go postal about this. This is not including the deductable i have to pay for the front bumper to get fixed. So it may be bad news for the turbo idea... Still trying to see if can fund it... If not then its gonna be coilovers and wet kit probably.

..... on another note about zaino. A lot of the scratch looking marks that were on the car buffed right out when i took the layers of zaino off. So it did its job pretty well. I was impressed. But who really cares. The panel's going to get replaced anyway. It saved my door though. Ok this is the end of the zaino advertisement.

If you have full coverage, can't you just pay your deductable???

I'm really sorry that everything is working out this way bud. If you need anything, gimme' a call.

Yeah I do have full coverage. But the problem is that I filed a claim to get my bumper fixed.... 2 days later the guy hits me. I can not file 2 claims, cause the insurance company told me that the underwriters look at this very badly and could cancel not only my insurance but my parents too since I am part of the family insurance. If i get canceled insurance this goes to my bank and then they take my car away. But the main thing is i do not want to screw my parents over on this so i have to take the bullet. Sux Hopefully my insurance will not go up b/c they had witness attessing that it was not my fault.

Yes. The front and rear bumpers still look really nice.I'd go to Etscorns again. And you are right about knowing everything is tip-top... "Oh what a feeling..." sorry, wrong manufacturer.

Vitals: Private track rental for nissan/infiniti's Beech Bend 1/4 Drag strip in BOWLING GREEN, KY September 11, 2004

$30 to race $10 to watch

thanks again to 96sleeper for contacting beech bend and getting this rolling!

There is gonna be some real heavy hitters at this event. Two of Chicagoland's quickest Mike and Neal are set to attend. Im thinking of heading down there and throwing an invite to a select few who actually would come, as opposed to many a people who would cite excuse after excuse, ad nauseum.

I dont know if you guys were aware of this event.

Yeah, I LOVE roadtrips. My friend Luis with his SRT-4 would probably come with, so Cullen can drive (i.e. flog, haha) the car he almost had. I hope to see you guys then.

I will have the front wheels shod in new rubber so I can go 95mph in a driving rainstorms like you crazy bunch, lol. :D

p.s. Im bringing a road map this time.

Don't they only have 60 spots open to race?

If so the a pre-register is something that will be needed.

something like that, I can't remember. Either everyone and their brother would show up from sr20forum or no one. It always works out that way.

Yeah Luis was the wise-cracking guy who was with me at the NICO meet in March. He decided against buying a WRX and picked up a loaded SRT-4...Something about spending $21K and driving a car that can absolutely waste people on the street. :ylsuper

I'm looking forward to heading down to KY again. You guys are a swell bunch. I signed in to the meet thread

Whats up Dave. I'm still alive and kicking.

Smoky, is that what people say when they see your exhaust trail?! There goes Smoky in his 85 Firebird, he's burning oil again! Lol ;)

Having a loaner/beater makes you really appreciate what you have.

Yeah Sep is far away. More time to get our acts together. Hopefully Cullen shows up in his 6MTG35.

There is nothing wrong with a good massive pushrod V8 making way more power than the tires know what to do with. The 85 was a good F-body, and I liked the Firebird body style then a whole lot better than the current bulgy plastic one. What engine's in your F-body?
